Out of my 14 years of being in the education system, it honestly fucking sucked and I’m genuinely happy to be the person I am today. I’m not gunna lie, I actually hated school and I’m glad I did because I was so tired of trying to fit into others peoples expectations. And I’m so happy that I’m really weird. I’m happy that I have a great circle of friends even though I lost a lot of people I thought good friends. I literally had someone I considered my sister tell me to my face that I didn’t deserve to be happy. That I didn’t deserve to be recognized for being different and never fitting in. And I’m glad she did. I’m glad people talked shit about me cause I never needed their approval to feel good about myself. I was so tired of sitting in a classroom and never letting myself reach the potential I deserved until my senior year. I sat at their level to support them cause I thought I they were my friends. I pretended not to be able to draw well. I pretended not to be able to sing. I literally quit dance and other fun things cause people were scared to see me achieve in way they would never put any effort in to. I wanted others to feel accepted in the ways I never felt and I did. I’m glad I didn’t fit in. I’m so happy people would you look at me and think” it’s that weird quite girl that’s really pretty” because I don’t need anyone else wasting my time and wasting my potential. I’ve grown so much in only a year but I wouldn’t change it for anything. I just had to put these thoughts down before my head would explode but yeah that’s what I’ve been wanting to express.
