BACKGROUND
Life never came easy to Brooklyn. From the jump, she was dealt a shitty hand. She was born into a family with little money to love. She was the only child of parents who could care less about each other let alone their child. A car accident claimed their lives a night that changed the young 16-year-old's life forever.
Brooklyn spent a few weeks in a group home before running away. Once she started, she never stopped. She went from city to city until she found a home in the Bronx. She first squatted in an abandoned apartment building and walked into the Seduction looking for a job at 17.
Being underage made it difficult for her to work anywhere, and the leader of the Ghost Riders took that into account. He let her work the cleaning shifts until she turned 18 and started stripping in the club, pushing drugs to customers during lap dances, shows, or private sessions.
The gang provided a safe place to sleep until she had enough to afford a place of her one. A small shithole studio in the Bronx.
While she still lives in a shithole, she is less broke. She often spends her money on lingerie sets and heels that will help her make more. Her goal if she were ever to get out of the lifestyle would be to be in fashion as that's a passion of hers.
WANTED CONNECTIONS
Role Model/authority figure - she joined the gang pretty young and alone. This person would have taken her under their wing and been a mentor.

FRANKLY, OXANA FOUND HERSELF reflecting on the people in her life as of late. when she arrived in the city, she had not a single other soul in this world but her sister. she had never had a best friend that wasn't blood. but then again, the way oxana felt about brooklyn -- she may as well be. there are very few people in this world who she'd go to the ends of the earth for. " and the twins were early. they decided they had to come out... fought like hell. if we're talking on par... we can add that to the list. " whenever oxana was paid a compliment, especially for her birth process -- she found herself feeling bashful, an emotion that had taken many different shapes over the years. " it's setting in... slowly but surely. that they're really here. " the same could be said for the fact that her friends were alive and well. she thought another person was about to be ripped from her. " ...there's more than the note, i just thought i had more time to set it all up. " she gestures for the other woman to sit at the chair positioned beside her bed. " when i was thinking about a person i trust without a doubt... you're the first person i think of. you always have been. "
"Oh for sure, I bet they were feeling cramped in there, I think they are enjoying all the free space right now." She said with a soft laugh. "I'm very happy for you, Ox. You look so good and happy and I really love this for you." She was happy to see her friend getting everything she deserved in life. "Don't worry about it, Godmother is here." She said in a sing-song voice, "You will have all the help getting everything done that you hadn't before, and free babysitting." Brooklyn was sure Oxana was the only person who would ever think of her when it came to such a big role, she didn't really keep a lot of people close, that was part of her issues, never letting anyone in. "And now you can have a wine night."
It had been hard to focus, Asher couldn't really deny that. His attention span wa wall over the place - here and there, constantly worried about the state of his fellow ghost riders, but most importantly, his mother and sister. It had been hell to see their reactions to it all, to the trauma that they had already been through and now this. It broke his heart - but mostly it just pissed him so far off he couldn't even see past his rage. Looking up in his bed, he sat up and half smiled when he saw Brooklyn enter.
"Hey. Jesus, you didn't walk away maimless, did you? What happened to you?" He asked, letting out a sigh, weakly hugging her back. "I've been better, I can tell you that - lot of pain, lot of not being able to focus which I fucking hate. How about you? How's the rest of the crew doing?"
Brooklyn shrugged her shoulders weakly, "Oh I'm fine, I just tripped or whatever." That was the story she was sticking with even if Jason got a lot more out of her. She took a moment to run her eyes over him, he was the closest to the blast, and for a moment there she heard whispers that his injuries were really bad. She wasn't sure if she could stand losing another friend, or member. He was still on the newer side so she hadn't gotten to know him all too well just yet but she cared for him like she did all the other riders.
"Well you look good, all things considering." Which was a lie, he looked pretty roughed up. "Everyone is good for the most part, Oxana had the babies and they are so stinking cute. I haven't checked in with everyone yet, Just Ox and Zak, you and Jay."
Ten damn years. That sounded like a hell of a long time away — a long time for someone who lived on the edge like Jason did, who never backed down and didn't fear the consequences. A decade from now worry lines and wrinkles would be a privilege, a welcomed one, one he'd wear like a badge of honor should he get there. "How 'bout this?" Jason shook his head, his features budging just enough to offer her a proposition. "In ten years if the phantom or the snakes haven’t gotten to me first, you can tell me ‘I told ya so.’ Probably still won't listen though.”
His jaw clenching next—might as well have been second nature by now, tightening at the details of all that went down the night of the explosion. "Shit, Brooke." Jason looked back at her. They may not have been on the best terms, but he didn't like seeing her or any of the Ghost Riders like this. Not when he didn’t have a single scratch on him. "I’m not lyin’ to ya. I am fine." His shoulders fell into a haphazard shrug as he shook his head. "Just wish I coulda done somthin', or been there. I don’t know — something.”
Ten years might have seemed like a long time but it was nine years ago when she first said it. So much time between them had past and so much had changed and yet, here they were still together... kind of. "I look forward to telling you that Jason. Ghosts are hard to catch." She pointed out with a raised brow. She was confident that they would make it through, the snakes weren't gonna get to them. It just simply wasn't possible. They had to much to lose to give it all up now.
Brooklyn rolled her eyes at him, "You are physically fine yes, but I'm talking about what's on the inside Jason. Your body may be carved out of stone but you still got a mind and heart in there that feels pain." But he wasn't one to easily give in to his emotions. "It's fine Jayj, even if you were there... It's not me you would have been worried about or protecting. This was inevitable either way. But I promise you that I am fine, on the inside."
While he appreciated the support, Jason wasn't really in the mood for the games. The gravity of all that went down still was weighing on him — for all those that where exposed, wounded, or worse. Yet, he went along with it anyway “Then you already know what I’m ’bout to say, too," Jason began, peering up at where Brooklyn's palm had landed on his forehead. His blues traced a path from the spot back over to her. "That I don’t give a shit 'bout wrinkles or worry lines or whatever hell else is wrong with my face.” It was more nostalgic than anything, something he would have said back then as well as now.
Beneath all those hardened edges, his concern was there. Or perhaps was it guilt? Jason really wasn't exactly sure. Just a part of him that wished he could have been in two places at once to also be there for all the ghost riders who sustained injuries. "Don't look fine to me. How'd it happened?"He asked, blues narrowing as he looked down at her broken arm. “And don’t gimme some bullshit like you tripped or somethin’.”
Maybe in the weight of everything she was just trying to bring a smile to his face. Jason was stone and in times of crisis he became a diamond, the toughest material on this earth. It's why she liked him so much. A diamond in the rough, her aladdin so to say. "Yep, uh-huh." She knew what he would say, heard those words before. "And you know I'm gonna say in ten damn years when you look twice your age you will and then what am I gonna do with you? And that face isn't short of perfect, keep it that way." She shook her head a little and cracked a smile.
"I am fine, I just tri-" But his following words cut her off. "You know me to damn well Jason Macavoy." He always saw straight threw her shit. She wasn't fine but she was. If she kept saying it, she would believe it eventually. Compared to everyone else, this was a walk in the park. "Got a little too close to the blast, thrown a little, came down on my arm. I'm not sure what I hit my head on, everything was so smokey and loud and my ears were ringing, someone saw me I guess, and dragged me out." She looked up at him and met his eyes, "But I am fine, seriously. Bones heal, now how are you and don't give me that I'm fine crap either, you can't lie to me."

Brooklyn: "I don't know about everyone else, I'll try to find everyone."
Brooklyn: "Jayj, I'm fine I promise. I'm gonna look around and then get out of here. I'll be there as soon as I can."
Brooklyn: "I got to go, I'll keep you updated. Bye Jay."
THANKFULLY FOR HER OWN sake she had been rushed to the hospital before the explosion occured -- but her heart had nearly stopped beating when she had learned what happened. after a long night, she had managed to get some amount of sleep ( just how much was frankly lost on her ) -- before zak was defensless in stopping her in checking her phone. her face had initially broken out into a smile at brooklyn's agreement to be the godmother, before it had immediately fallen again at the knowledge of her injury. and then, there she was. alive. " brook... " she whispers, her relief palpable. the further she walks into room, the more the blonde eases. " hey, it's not your fault. don't do that. as expected, none of us saw that coming. " even if gatherings such as those normally ended in tragedy, subconciously, she knew all of them were clinging to the hope their evening would be remotely peaceful. she laughs at the comment about the size of her boyfriend's head. " i'm... exhausted, if i'm honest. but i feel so much better knowing you, asher and willem are okay. " she gestures to the nearby chair, as an inference to take a seat. " there was so much more i had planned, asking you to be their godmother... but i thought i had time. "
Brooklyn shook her off, "Yeah, but you know me, I'm always late to something, so this is pretty on par anyway," and that was true, her time management skills could use some major improvement. "I bet you are, mama. You did a lot of hard work today." Brooklyn said as she settled into the chair next to her. "We are all gonna be okay, they are next on my list to check on, but seriously I'm fine, just tripped trynna get away." It was a little white lie, she was thrown a little bit in the blast, not enough to do much more damage than it did. "It's okay, really. I loved my note, I'm very excited to be apart of this."
He was feeling exhausted and sore, but masking it as best as he could. After all, he was trying to convince everyone around him that he was fine to go home. He was sick of being stuck there. It was nice to see her moving around and walking. He was glad she was alive and seemingly well. "I'm fine, Brooklyn," Henry insisted. "You don't need to worry about me. I'm alive, right? That's what matters." He didn't mind her being close to him, he had been comfortable with her. "I'm okay." He wasn't, but he wasn't going to fess up to that.
"Yeah, uh huh." Brooklyn knew him well, he would hide whatever he was feeling, he would always say he was fine. "I'll believe it when the doctor tells me you are fine." She said but she wasn't going to actually fight him on it, if he wanted to break out, she would be right alongside him helping out, and he knew that. "I know, I just needed to see for myself, check up on you. I was looking for you when everything happened and I couldn't find you. But we are both okay, we made it out."
When he'd heard Brooklyn was injured, he was nervous. Henry was glad to see her enter his room, though he wasn't too pleased with how she looked. She was still walking, which was a good thing, but she was still hurt, and he didn't like seeing her that way. "Hey," he said, looking her over from where he sat. "How are you? Is everything okay?"
Brooklyn had gone to look for Henry. She needed to tell him she had to go, that the babies were coming. That's when everything went to hell. "Hey." She said softly as she came into his room. She bypassed the chair and went right for his bed. She took a seat next to him and dropped her head on his shoulder. "No." She felt like she could be honest with him, "That was really scary, I thought I was gonna lose you Henry." In the midst of all the chaos, she still couldn't find him. "Physically I'm okay though. How are you?"
Jason leaned against the hood of his Camaro, toying idly with his keys as he waited for Dilan to finish up her visit. His head was spinning, not that anyone would be able to tell, wracked with everything from guilt to grief to concern — to even pride, remembering the two reasons he set foot in the hospital in the first place. It was a voice he sure as all hell wasn't expecting that had him peering up from his keys and awkwardly turning around.
“Oh, yeah uh — thanks.” Jason strung together something coherent, pulling away as he shifted backwards and got a better look at Brooklyn. His eyes traveled down to the sling that carried her arm, forehead immediately creasing. "Thought ya said on the phone you were alright."
Brooklyn let go of him, it was a quick embrace and she didn't want to linger, just offer support. "Don't do that." She said reaching up and bopping him on the forehead. "You already know what imma say about that and wrinkles," It brought her back for a moment to how things used to be. It was something he heard from her a lot back then with that same bop to his forehead. "Once you got them you can't get rid of them, you are too young for worry lines."
It helped prolong answering his latest words as well. "I am alright." She said softly as she let her eyes drop to the floor, not meeting his. She had a hard time downplaying things while looking him in the eye. Those icy blues, the ones that brought her comfort and warmth, were hard to lie to. "It's just a broken bone and a bump to the head. I'm fine."

Jason: "Uh..yeah..happened a 'lil while ago. Haven't seen 'em yet but everyone's doin' good — "
Jason: "Wait, what the hell you mean there was an explosion?"
Brooklyn: "Fuck. I can't believe I missed it"
Brooklyn: "umm.. yeah. The ferris wheel... a bomb i guess. It exploded. The whole thing just came crashing down. There is like fire and smoke everywhere."
Brooklyn: "I'm okay though.. I'll be at the hospital soon. Trying to find someone. Just glad you guys made it out okay."
"A shot of whatever? That's dangerous," Dylan comments, his brow arched despite his downward cast glare. It's almost a relief when other Ghost Riders approach the bar - he doesn't have to be 'on' or extend some kind of politeness that's fucking out of place in a strip club anyway. But with Brooklyn here he knows there's no rush. He can finish what he's in the middle of, which at present is carefully carving out a dick with the frost residue from the ice well. "Well now I just wanna be mean and give you like, fuckin' coconut cream or somethin'."
Brooklyn gave him a weak shrug, "Can't be more dangerous than the shit I'm use too." She mumbled, more to herself but it was still audible. The shit she had been through the last several months were enough to break someone, and yet here she was. "I'm sure I'd drink it anyway, I just need something, anything. Hopefully strong."

It had been a few hours since the twins came. Brooke had finished getting checked out and casted. She made a quick stop outside to talk to Jay before making her way up to Oxana's room. "Hey you." She said softly as she entered the room. "I feel like the worst god mom ever, missing them coming." She took a seat next to her bed, "How are you feeling, I hear you did a good job pushing Zak's big headed babies out. I'm proud of you."

"Hey." Brooke said as she came up on Asher. Hearing he was hurt along with other ghost riders left her feeling uneasy. She had her arm and cast hung in a sling as she ran her eyes over him to make sure he was okay. "You gave us all a scare there." She said with a weak smile, "How are you doing?"
And I know you
Yes, I know you
Used to love you (Used to love you)
And I said
"I'm sorry I'm here for someone else
It's good to see your face
And I really hope you're doing well
I'm still in love with you
I'm going outta my mind
(I, I, I) I-I-I-I couldn't take it anymore
I was already running for the kitchen doors
You were always the one I shoulda waited for
I can't lose you again, not again, not again, not again

Even though the world seemed to be in shambled, work didn't stop. If nothing, they needed to be there now more than ever. For Oxana. Though she wasn't getting as much action with her current state, the red arm cast really took away from her sexy appeal. Leaning against the bar, Brooklyn let out an exhale. She should be wearing her sling but she couldn't completely tank her night. "Pass me a shot of whatever. I need it."

Brooklyn was more shaken than anything, besides the cast that now hung her arm. She was fine though. Jason was the only one she texted, she didn't want Oxana to worry. She felt horrible for missing it, the birth. Once Oxana texted her, she was going to look for Henry to let him know she had to leave, that's when the blast happened. He was caught in the blast too. She was taken to the hospital to be checked out and she of course checked on her friend too before heading down. She knew where she would find him. She knew that man better than she knew herself. "Hey." She said softly as she came up behind him. She closed the gap between them and wrapped her one arm up around his neck, the other held in a sling. "I'm so sorry for your loss."
