I’m taking that as a compliment, thank you very much. But yeah, maybe just the three of us is for the best. I’m not ready to give up walking around in my underwear, anyway.

Whatever you need to do my dear. Yeah definitely vetoing a new roommate in that case. That would be a disservice. My favorite thing is going to be to sit on the couch in my underwear and eating ice cream and drinking wine after a super long shift, and I really am only willing to subject you and Chloe to that. I think we might have some time on Monday to go look at places the three of us?  

“God, okay. So much pressure. –Decent water pressure and decent closet space. And a nice sized kitchen too. Do you think just the three of us could do it, or should we find another potential roommate?”

Let’s add on a good view too while we’re at it, make the search even harder. I think we’ll be just fine. I doubt anyone else would be able to put up with us. Or vice a versa. I think you and Chlo are enough for me to handle as is. I say this with the utmost love and respect for the two of you of course.

On it. Will have that ready and waiting for you next time, for now I’ll go get one. I’ll bug the lab for them. The consult is here from Seattle Pres. She’s got an  Astrocytoma on her frontal lobe, I’ve got her in the cue for another mri to see if it’s growing still. She was in 6 months ago when it was first diagnosed and the images they sent with it showed minimal growth but looking at the newest scans something didn’t seem to add up, it looked almost impossible. So I ordered new ones.

“Wait, you get the whole back seat and we just get a seat each, and we can’t recline? No way. I need leg room. And I have claustrophobia!”

I called it. Those are the rules. I suggest you keep looking for a place then instead of giving up. There has got to be something somewhere, with decent water pressure, and room for the three of us. We need to find someone who knows where to look, or has a place to offer us.

“Next time, have the coffee ready beforehand, Dr. Seager, if you want to get in my good graces.”

As for the patients we’re seeing, you have a consult referred from a different hospital, and the other was brought into the er with mind splitting migraines that have yet to subside, they already did a ct, just waiting on the results.

“Okay, I’ve given up on finding an apartment at this point. I’m just gonna start living out of my car. Which isn’t a terrible idea, considering how much time I spend here at work anyway.”

“Okay but does your car have enough room for the 3 of us? Cause I’m gonna like veto that and insist you keep looking. Or else I call the back seat and you guys aren’t allowed to recline the front seats.”

“God, I haven’t even had a sip of coffee yet, could you give me a minute before you start rattling off whatever you need to tell me? Because there’s an about… 80% chance I won’t remember or hear any of it, so you’ll have to repeat yourself anyway.”

“Sorry. I’ll slow it down and start over. I was just running through the patient charts that you asked me to pick up and go through since I’m on your service today. I’ll wait, unless did you need me to get you that coffee to sip too?”
