“Two broken people can not be together romantically.”

Two broken people can not work together in a relationship because “we are both too sad we would probably encourage each other’s suicide or some shit.”

We can not work together.

We WILL NOT work together.

Maybe it makes sense, maybe we’re right; but my heart is telling me otherwise.

For so long I have fought so hard to ignore these feelings creeping up my spine. I have told myself endlessly that I cannot and I will not fall for you

and when I felt that first knot in my stomach when you talked about another girl.. I knew I was fucked.

I am relentlessly fighting these feelings and tirelessly trying to pretend they don’t exist. I fooled myself into thinking that they didn’t for a while,

and then tonight we had a conversation about how we won’t work together.

I feel disappointed, sad, angry, and slightly heartbroken.

I had feelings for you.

I wanted you.

Deep down I wanted us to work. 

But I knew that we couldn’t.
