i wondered why no one ever showed this "totally badass" frame from the Dual Destinies intro cutscene... before noticing the absolutely stunning angle that Apollo's neck is set at
i don't think Trucy gets enough credit for getting taken hostage and immediately devoting all of her effort to trying to keep things lighthearted by entertaining all the other hostages.
it's definitely a product of her complicated upbringing and entertainer mindset but that shouldn't detract from the situation.

so, the moon that appears during Dual Destinies' opening cutscene, which takes place on December 17th, is seemingly full or close to it.
When we see it again in the opening to Turnabout for Tomorrow, three days later (the 20th), it's actually just barely different! It's very hard to see in-game but looking at the actual texture for the moon (which is of course just a flat image), it's roughly moving towards the phase Waning Gibbous, with the fact we can see the rims of craters being what I'm mostly going off of here.
first image is from the shot of Apollo staring glumly up at it on December 17th, while the in-game texture is of course from the 20th.
I am most definitely reading too far into this and staring at blurry images for too long, but it's been 10 years since the last mainline aa game release, what else am I supposed to do??

Also, the moon isn't flipped, it is... being viewed from the southern hemisphere, apparently! I did double check it with game footage, as well.

not particularly satisfied with how Apollo's head came out, but other than that, I'm pretty happy. I could have continued more but I've spent like 15 hours on this and am admittedly a little sick of it, lmao
Ever since doing a mirrored drawing of Apollo and Clay back in 2017, I've made it a point to occasionally reuse the concept in some way. It's always just been mirror-style symmetry, so I decided to try out something more akin to radial symmetry. It's more of a challenge, but I have to say, the result is more impressive visually.

one of the more fun things about Ace Attorney existing for (at this moment) nearly 25 years is happening upon outdated memes from ages past
I personally made a “we are #1” edit back in 2016. I’ve seen at least a few rage comics. And most prominent in my mind, I distinctly remember Phoenix, Miles, and Larry’s faces (iirc) pasted onto a grainy-ass looping gif of the roxbury guys “What Is Love” headbanging clip…

Thinking about more random what-ifs to inflict Apollo with, and came up with
What if Apollo is, in a sort of way, immortal?
Not in the everlasting way, old age would still come for him. But lethal injuries just kind of… resolve themselves, before leaving him to deal with whatever non-lethal afflictions he’s left with.
It’s not like he’d know about this, really. He was just ‘really lucky’ when, say, a dangerously elevated fever suddenly dropped off, or he was pulled from a river, near drowned but alive. Miraculously surviving a bombing and added head trauma might raise some professional questions, though…
Yknow with all the strange music acts I’ve both become aware of and seen live, the concept of a band themed around legal stuff isn’t really as strange as I initially thought.
Which isn’t touching on the fact that the Gavinners is entirely made up of members of law enforcement/legal-type careers, but I don’t think anyone would be able to realistically hold onto both of those career paths at once, unless they wanted to die of stress…..
