becka and agnes/hannah are such parallels of each other. we get becka losing her family literally, and then we get hannah losing the only family she's known by learning the truth of her origins (june as her mom). becka's mother willing to die to save her. june, hannah's mother willing to risk it all to save her. becka willing to risk her life to save hannah, and hannah doing the same right back (her whole future in tatters). becka marries garth in order to survive. hannah marries gilead to do the same. becka chooses hannah and hannah chooses her.

becka literally losing her family in the finale vs. hannah losing the only family she's ever known as well (coming to the truth about her past).

becka and agnes/hannah always pinky promising in their own secret world as they make promises/vows to each other, vs. the coming of age of the wedding and them kissing instead as their own private promise/vow.

the absolute contrast of garth and becka's wedding ceremony where they don't kiss (where traditionally you would, Gilead values aside), vs. becka and agnes/hannah kissing before the ceremony, sealing their own ceremony/promise of sorts.

becka out here killing her father, saying she did it for agnes, saying she protected her, saying she'd do anything for her, will you run away with me?? with the most deranged love filled gaze. im.
