DEMO - INSTRUMENTS OF LABOUR Recorded live at Café OTO, INSTRUMENTS OF LABOUR is a three-part collaborative improvisation by nunguja, Tati au Miel, and SUUTOO. The performance explored the sonic landscapes of labour and workspace environments, activating custom-built and adapted instruments through contact microphones, noise, and tactile intervention. Across three movements, the artists engaged in a process of live composition, responding to one another and to the material conditions of sound production itself. Each part was recorded in real time, then immediately duplicated onto CD and made available as physical merch, instantaneous documents of the performance, collapsing the distance between creation, production and distribution. INSTRUMENTS OF LABOUR foregrounds sound as both action and trace. Out on DEMO now.
