currently there are many overlapping jurisdictions which were originally organized when groups of people from traditionally-orthodox countries immigrated to the US and brought the church with them

but it's well known that by the third generation (so, grandchildren of the people who immigrated), the language and culture of the old country are mostly gone and people don't much identify with the national identity any more

so the current, mostly ethnicity- and language-based structure will probably go away. already, it's common and normal for lay people (but rarely clergy) to jurisdiction-hop, either for aesthetic reasons or because they've moved and, oh look, the closest orthodox church to me is ukrainian (or whatever) and not greek

english is already becoming much more common in church services, and (depending on the region) parishes that are nominally [insert nationality here] often don't have much of that national character because:

it's the only orthodox church in the area and attracts people of many traditionally-orthodox cultures

it has a large proportion of culturally-american converts

third-generation orthodox young people are pretty assimilated to US culture (though in my admittedly narrow experience, third-generation young people often don't show up much at all)
