Happy to finally be able to make a bit of time to doodle again 🤗

For such a controversial figure, it strikes me how objective Vance's narrative is. Musk is depicted through testimonies of family, friends and foes alike, as well as a complete background on all his companies' history. This makes it very easy to get a vast picture of his drive and motives -which are the two more remarkable aspects of his persona. His ability to turn his ideals -crazy as they may seem to some- into this incredible drive that forces him to keep out doing himself is incredible. Whether you like Elon or not, this book is a great reminder of our need to stop either idealizing or demonizing the characters of those who are trying to shape our society for the better. Elon Musk is arguably one of - if not the most remarkable people of this century, pushing the limits of technology in a way we haven't seen in a long time - perhaps since Edison's time. That doesn't mean, however, that he's not a human without flaws like any of us. You just have to wonder how different the world would look like if everyone had his drive to challenge the status quo.

Just finished the Van Gogh book I got at the National Gallery in London so decided to sketch him in my style to convert to digital art later. I wonder how different his life would have been with a bit more understanding of mental illnesses. So heartbreaking that he constantly starved but the Sunflowers sold for $23 million after almost a century

Reading a book about Van Gogh I got at the National Gallery to find out he actually started drawing as a child. Here 2 sketches he made at ages 9 & 11. He did only start painting at 27, but always had an inclination for art, contrary to popular belief. He also did sell some paintings, which really surprised me too. Very much enjoying this book so far :)
