Been researching wild/feral edible plants. A few discoveries:
🌱 There is about a dozen asparagus plants on my roadside (debating if I want to transplant them or not - in the fall)
🌱 Dandilion roots should be peeled by blanching.
🌱 Day Lilies can have a laxative effect. But all parts are edible.
🌱 My favorite smelling weed is actually German chamomile. Flowers greens and stems edible. We also have Roman chamomile in our feild.
🌱 rhubarb leaves and roots are poisonous but stems and flowers are edible.
🌱 good king Henry is a lemony edible similar to spinach and the stems are like asparagus.
🌱 borage is a purple droopy star flower and the leaves make water taste like cucumber water.
🌱 hostas are completely edible (we have so many hostas you guys)
