I have a very strict line about not engaging in selective outrage but everything else is relative.
While this is my fandom space, aspects of intersectionality will always matter to me. Being able to have important and serious conversations about racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, or whatever else might need addressed is required for the space to be ever be safe. I refuse to treat these topics as if they are taboo in the fandom space.
Helluverse is pumping blood through my veins, and I like pretty much everything about both shows. I like requests because my purpose is to draw more and improve.
You can just ask me to draw or write (short drabble) anything in my ask box and I will probably do it. I love a task!
I will make anything from fanart, character analysis, gifs, edits, etc. or anything else that sounds fun. I love being given tasks. I have the temperament of the microsoft paperclip. I used this pinned as a quick link page for things so help yourself it if it useful.
You can call me Briar / any pronouns.

Omfg now that I realise Niffty = Alastorβs crutch for opening up, and Husk = Alastorβs crutch for setting boundaries, I now get why Alastor brings up Rosie when he warns Alastor about Mimzy, and Alastor gets so pressed about it. Alastor in life sold his soul to Rosie, overly willing to do whatever she asked of him and has paid the price for it in bondage, likewise with Mimzy exploiting his kindness in S1E5. Husk stops Alastor from letting the wrong people in. And thatβs literally why Mimzy bursts through the door, and as the βhostβ (not his actual job), Alastor mistakingly tells her βall are welcome hereβ, when only people seeking redemption are meant to be at the hotel.
Bro. I already had a scene in S4S planned about Alastor letting someone into the hotel he shouldnβt, originally it was going to be Chaggi giving him backlash for it, but Iβm definitely going to go with Vaggi and Husk instead. Boi.

God I love people's ocs. And when the oc is in the style of the show they love ohhhh baby. And, and, and when they draw that oc in that style next to the real character yeeeeahhhh baby that is what I like to see. You look great together and they WOULD pick you - in fact, you complete that character's story better than anything from it's own media ever will thank god you put your oc in there.
Hazbin Characters' Era & Art Motifs Broad Theory of Thematic Character Groupings
So I'm basing these ideas somewhat off of @chopstickerz analysis of the characters artistic themes and ideas for the RadioVees' connection, but it got me thinking about how you might be able to organize most of the cast around the concepts of 1) Time Period and 2) Artistic/Performance medium. And it actually maps out pretty evenly if you split the cast into 5 main groups (Pentragram city after all)
The most obviously thematically connected are the RadioVees, who broadly map onto both Broadcast Media and the odd-numbered decades of the modern era: Alastor (1930s/Radio), Vox (1950s/TV, but also modern), Niffty (1950s/B movies), Valentino (1970s/Porn film), Velvette (1990s/Social Media) and possibly also Vox as 2010s/modern TV since he's shifted his motifs more to the contemporary.
Next up you have the Morningstar family and close associates, who have less obvious time periods and performance, but just to make a guess, they also map onto the next set of even-numbered decades and 3 of the 5 known members are associated with Theater: Charlie (1910s-era Music-Man style show-woman and Musical Theater), Rosie, who seems to be a big fan of the Morningstars (1890s-style Vaudeville), and Lucifer (early -Victorian possibly 1830s, Circus). Lilith might then be the 1870s, given her long elegant dress, and maybe classical theater. Vaggie belongs generally to this group in a sense as Charlie's girlfriend, but she's the least distinctly branded of any character in the cast and probably still looking for her identity. You could in theory map 1850s-style dance onto her.
A little more loosely grouped together, but organized to some extent around the even-numbered decades are: Cherrie (1980s, street/Graffiti art), Husk (vague decade, but Magic Shows), Angel (1940s, queer performance like porn and drag), Baxter (1900s and bioengineering) and Pentious (1880s and steampunk). Kind of a loosely connected group, but Husk/Angel - Cherrie/Pentious - Baxter, basically the non-current Overlord Staff and guests of the Hazbin Hotel. Their performance motifs are more loosely associated, but they're all less formally organized, more underground types of in-person performance or engineering.
(velvette snuck her way into two group shots)
The remaining major Overlords might also map onto even-numbered 19th century decades and to musical and lyric art forms: Prick and Hatchet (1860s, rock and western music), Carmilla and co (1840s, Ballet), Maestro (Regency era, classical), and Zestial (earlier medieval era, poetry). Zeezi is Pop music and 2000s, which kinda fills out our time span here covering the last even-numbered decade.
Finally you have the Heaven characters, who are a combo of Biblical and sci-fi motifs. Adam, Lute, Abel, St Peter, and the Exorcists all dress in Biblical/Medieval religious style outfits, and are associated with various motifs of Rock. Emily, the Speaker and Sera all wear similarly grand, non-decade specific gowns and have mystical or sci-fi motifs.
I know some of these are a bit of a stretch, but it makes for an interesting and convenient way to group the cast. Basically the unassigned characters are: Mimzy who is 1920s-themed and could either fit with the RadioVees or the Hotel guests (even numbered decade) and Vaggie because her artistic motif hasn't been assigned yet. Let me know what you think Vaggie's era/performance art should be.
Mind you that's potential thematic groupings, not necessarily the groups the characters are currently in. As to what their groups are in Season n3, that's a different matter...

My flameo take is that radiostatic isn't even a ship and that was just the plot of season 2. I mean, I would double that times eighty when it comes to chaggi as well. People will be like ah I don't like this ship and have Chaggi on there and I'm like that is the plot of the whole show. It's not a ship, that's the main character and her girlfriend who is a secondary lead and their story is the plot. I love shipping but I swear people get it backwards sometimes cause they frame it purely from what they want and not from what they see.
Alastor's situation with Vox is a situationship even if it was one sided and Alastor's loss of someone he did actually want to be friends with is an objectively neutral description of his dynamic with Vox. Even if you only see Vox's side of that interests, Alastor has simply not tried to actively kill Vox and that matters just like it does with Husk. They confirmed that Alastor is so much stronger than Vox that it isn't really a contest and if Alastor wanted him dead during those seven years he could have if he wanted to. For someone like Alastor, not murdering people is kinda his embarrassing tell and suggests that something has gotten between his otherwise uncompromising mindset.
I also think it's fair to suggest that Alastor keeps his distance from people because he does not trust anyone and dislikes most people but it is also because he knows he is capable of caring and that is the most dangerous thing that can happen to him. Alastor plays by the rules of the people he fights and takes risks to the last minute and acts best on the spot but suddenly Niffty jumps in the way and he can't control his fate and hers. Alastor's larger goals are still a secret and I think the most interesting part about the fact that he kills overlords and comes into hell with a plan is how deliberately he doesn't kill people. He effectively keeps Husk and Niffty at overlord status as well as allowing the Vees to prosper and I think it's cause he kinda likes having a say in who gets to be there. [They keep telling us how the vees are younger and less expierenced which makes them easier to control than the old power he likely removed.] If his end game goal does involve turning off the soul system so overlords couldn't rely on others for power (as well as who knows what else) I could see him specially wanting Vox to face that system. Both to humiliate him and also to legitimately test him, to break him of his own abusive way of gaining power to see if he can truly stand by his side.
Alastor beat the game on everyone else's rules , particularly when he proved to Rosie he could do it the easy way or the hard way just because she underestimated him, but most people would fall into despair without being able to consider the long game. Even back when Vox and Alastor drank together, Alastor's goals were likely much more grand than being a powerful overlord and at the very least he wanted to challenge the scope at which Vox even defined success.
Like that's not even my ship or interests but you really can't explain what happened in season two without admitting that a fallout between Vox and Alastor, which frames why Alastor was gone when season one starts and is Vox's motivation to hate the hotel in the first damn place, has broken back into another fight.
We still haven't seen the fight from seven years ago in which Alastor then has his radioshow taken off the air. Alastor might have "won" that fight but what Alastor actually loss the ability to do and way Vox is the cause of him losing his air time is probably actually painful to Alastor. That's all he ever wanted and what he fought for in life and death and I don't think Vox could imagine the way Alastor despise systems like this because it has always resulted in someone else using his talents or powers as permission for him to get access to the radioshow. It's also the interests they share that truly connects them and Vox took it from him as a result of being mad about a rejection.
I knew Alastor wasn't going to kill Roise over his staff because he didn't seem hostile towards her over the last punishment she gave him which was not small. If Alastor hated Rosie or didn't want to work with her he would have shown it, but we know he offers his hand instead. Rosie's punishment here is simply that he humbled her and that is another admission of Alastor's lack of hatred. He put up with worse case situations from Rosie - I still think he would have had to fight heaven with no army if he didn't get Charlie to Roise - and he lets the fight with Vox drag on because he is more curious than worried.
Anyway, I can't wait for Alastor's season 2 recap so we can see how he describes this damn season in his own words.
