in furthering with my ever growing love of working on things and then putting them out into the world years later, i recently came across some older files of songs that i was working on while living in gainesville, fl towards the end of my time at college. in another ever growing love of mine, that being to emulate the music you’re listening to, i proposed to my two friends Lindsey Mills and Andrew Bond if in between rehearsals for our run as Lindsey Mills and the Predators, the two would be interested in jamming some songs that i was working on after listening to Good Luck’s first album so much that pop rock was all i thought about. this is one of the proposed songs i brought to Lindsey who would be singing for the project. she took the opportunity to pen an awesome little anthem to our time growing up in south florida where we sought to take matters into our own hands, along with the hands and home of our brother Tommy Coleman to start putting on our own shows which became a great mainstay during the waining years of the “56fun” scene.  this song and the others with it fell onto only a few ears, and this is the first time since recording this that i’ve sat down and listened to it. with a rudimentary recording set-up, i tried to adjust what audio i could to give this track some more life. but more than anything i’m just happy to hear it again and think about all the awesome times and people that made our scene such a great one.
