Anyway its called The Goddess of Life Bids You Dead. (Bids You Dead for short. Or tglbyd if your crazy) its probably what I'll focusing on after bta is over, so a LONG time lol! The plot is pretty self-explanatory. The goddess of life wants them dead, so she send repomen after them to kill them. And chaos insues.
This story is meant to be reminiscent of my old process of writing- no process. Just chaos and whatever i think is cool and fun. its deliberately made so that it can devolve into overly convoluted CHAOS like my old stories used to. Yknow. Before i did this weird new thing called "trying to be a good writer" whatever sounds boring /j

This story is actually really old. Its a mix of my two duds of story concepts from the bri jo flop era (happened before i went online), "The Goddess of Life Bids You Dead" and "Magnum Opus". They both sucked but together they are kinda fun!
"The goddess of life bids you dead" has the same name and concept as this story. But it followed high schoolers instead of adults, which limited a lot of what i could do with it. Also the main character looked exactly like every mc i was making during that time (the flop era). I feel like cute kid stuff is what Before the Anger is for! Why would i need another story for the same thing? therefore, I felt myself gravitating towards more adult themes but the characters being both young and entirely uninteresting to me made that difficult so i scrapped the whole thing. if I wanted to explore actual adult themes, i want everyone to be competent adults. Not just Adults but also characters i can connect and care about. (Clef if the only kid, he doesn't engage with those themes)
Magnum Opus was supposed to be an album. Wtf is that masochistic idea. I am NOT good at writing songs lmao. But the characters Designs were fun! Heres their old designs:

There are more characters. A professional kidnapper named "FORTE", a nymph woman (Clef's mom) named "Pianissimo", and a goddess named "Ostinato".
If you are a musical person, you may recognize that all of their names are musical terms. This is leftover from the "album" concept, but now i just kind of like it. I made it so they are all Italian to make their names kind of make sense in the new website concept.

This was very fun to see them interacting!! Gaster has very low patience in general but is very outward with his emotions with papyrus.. :( also, he is in a lot of pain in this episode and, as he said, "incredibly irritable" so of course he has an even shorter fuse. So short, in fact, that he gave up on his stance on not letting them learn sign language very quickly! His handwriting is so shitty that he literally IMMEDIATELY gave up LOL when i was coming up with this part of the story, I had imagined he used the whiteboard for a lot longer, but i think this is funnier.
Papyrus asks "are you dyslexic" genuinely. Gaster writes with random letter uppercase letters. He also resorts to periods for all punctuation even if its not correct. Is it because he struggles to interpret the letters hes writing? Idk man, ask the author or something/j
I feel bad for papyrus. Lets all cry for papyrus 😢

Y'all I'm gonna work SO HARD on BTA website tomorrow. Like. I'm hoping to finish the whole thing. My only issue is that I don't have all the animations for the character profiles so those will have to wait.
The itinerary is:
edit existing character profiles to be anti-spoiler, having them link to BTA error page if you haven't read up to the point where they were introduced. This is because when BTA is finished, I want there to still be evidence of the BTA error since it is a visual motif I have used within the comic.
hopefully even changing the contents of the profiles based on what chapter you've read!?! We will see ...
Edit existing character profiles to be... Better. Massive overhaul, new assets, Super annoying and time consuming 🙄🙄
Finish all code for ALL character profiles (even ones that won't be revealed)
Update fan media page
Upload ALL existing episodes

After many many months of working on this website, it is finally fully functional and exactly how I designed it. And, somehow, I coded the new html and ALL javascript!!?
I have learned over all this time how to code by myself and I'm so proud of how far I've come. I started this project exhausted even thinking about coding. I made my brother do all of the code and I refused to learn because it was too hard. The whole thing seemed like imperceivable magic to me, only able to be done by tech geniuses. Now, I look forward to adding new things to the site by myself and love the fulfilling feeling of fixing a bug! It really goes to show you how rewarding trying new things and learning new skills is. (<-My anti-ai message for all of you)
Obviously this isn't even close to the end. I still have to update every week, fix the comment section, and add assets to character profiles, plus I'm sure I will come up with some crazy idea in the future that takes a ton of work. (POV I'm already exploring the idea of turning the website into some kind of game and you get achievements for exploring/ doing random things XD) But the structure IS finally done!
If you want to learn to code (or just make a silly website for your ocs), go to w3schools. They saved my and Adams butt 1000 times and this project literally wouldn't be possible without that awesome website. Knowledge should be free and accessible. Everyone say thank you for existing, w3schools! :)

hey dont get used to the good art, we go back to shittale next episode. i had bri (my twin) draw this one because it was one of the first things i ever fully scripted for weirdtale (besides the first 2 episodes) back in may of 2025. the recency bias had worn off and i was REALLY not wanting to draw it. i said i was going to scrap it and she said she would draw it!!! and suddenly, it seems like a good script when its drawn well XD
beleive it or not, ive always been known in our community as the better artist. i think shes trying to steal the crown. (why am i being so nice? because that is very rare for us, so its a treat for drawing the episode for me)

There are some instances where their roles in the story are changed, but they still have similar personalities from their original counterparts. Chara is still very creeped out and acts weird towards everyone, just without the murdeours intent…for the most part.
As for frisk, I’m not sure why they would go and kill half of an entire race yet. I just know it’s going to be a bunch of small things before one big thing sends them over the edge. Maybe Asriel being killed by rowdy monsters since they wouldn’t have their child in this AU. However, they had that more maternal personality and acted as a second mother to Asriel.
Also, I know you love doomed yuri and I have the perfect idea. Ok so for this AU, Frisk would’ve been born 10 years earlier to make this make sense. So, they are about 27 in 1982 when they first fell. And Yknow how they had a small little crush on Toriel?
Well, I’m thinking about expanding that and they both developed a small mutual crush towards each other (Sorry Asgore, but your wife technically isn’t your wife) and they share small parts about their lives and they go out to dinner. They wanted to go father, but they couldn’t. Because poor Asgore😭
And I should mention that in my swap AU, I plan to do the reverse of what Frisk and Chara are. Meaning they have the same roles in the story, it’s just their personalities are completely different. Toriel had no choice but to kill someone they truly loved and the guilt ate her alive so much that she ran away back to the ruins and hid while just constantly thinking about them and Asgore. As for Asgore? He found out that Toriel didn’t love him anymore and he became an empty husk of the bright king he once was. I can’t really blame him, to be fair.
As for Gauiyao? They’re the same as canon, Idk I might just invert his color palette 😭 All they did for now was Erase Charas memories about her father. Or “Chara.08”
You are seriously cooking on these concepts. It's cool to see because not all of the characters motivations are revealed yet. It's very impressive how much you were able to come up with with so little to work from! Frisk and chara are some of the more mysterious characters (for now) although a LOT of characters are kind of mysterious right now.
Fun fact: chapter 1 was originally intended to be a lot shorter, so it wasn't supposed to take this long to get to the actual character development XD but now that we are in chapter 2, things are gonna be speeding up. (Like... next episode)

Will I be able to do all of this? Well it's cute that you would ask that because I'm sure just figuring out the character profiles will take all day. Especially because I'm going to see a performance tomorrow and I will definitely wake up late because it is 4 am. But sure .
