They must defend themselves in a kill-or-be-killed world with weapons and aggression, all in a cute slice-of-life style comic 😜. (BTA is unassuming at first, but it has very dark moments farther in.) Before the Anger— episode 127, "Uhhh Dad?"

This was very fun to see them interacting!! Gaster has very low patience in general but is very outward with his emotions with papyrus.. :( also, he is in a lot of pain in this episode and, as he said, "incredibly irritable" so of course he has an even shorter fuse. So short, in fact, that he gave up on his stance on not letting them learn sign language very quickly! His handwriting is so shitty that he literally IMMEDIATELY gave up LOL when i was coming up with this part of the story, I had imagined he used the whiteboard for a lot longer, but i think this is funnier.

Papyrus asks "are you dyslexic" genuinely. Gaster writes with random letter uppercase letters. He also resorts to periods for all punctuation even if its not correct. Is it because he struggles to interpret the letters hes writing? Idk man, ask the author or something/j

I feel bad for papyrus. Lets all cry for papyrus 😢

Its getting serious. Next episode won't make you think so. But it is. Make sure you are in a good state of mind for this chapter..

What will I do to celebrate? Well, I did a lot of website stuff yesterday for it and I'm kind of too tired to do more😭... If any of you want to celebrate in some way, go crazy!

If you want to celebrate but don't have ideas, I still have the old DTIYS challenge open! But not all forms of celebrating have to be art. If you want to celebrate in any way at all I will be over the moon no matter what.

My brother said he is making fanart for the anniversary... He's been vague. I can only imagine what he has in store. He never seems to want to do anything normal lol

Bta has about 2-3 more years left I think? This project is huge /pos!!

Y'all I'm gonna work SO HARD on BTA website tomorrow. Like. I'm hoping to finish the whole thing. My only issue is that I don't have all the animations for the character profiles so those will have to wait.

The itinerary is:

edit existing character profiles to be anti-spoiler, having them link to BTA error page if you haven't read up to the point where they were introduced. This is because when BTA is finished, I want there to still be evidence of the BTA error since it is a visual motif I have used within the comic.

hopefully even changing the contents of the profiles based on what chapter you've read!?! We will see ...

Edit existing character profiles to be... Better. Massive overhaul, new assets, Super annoying and time consuming 🙄🙄

Finish all code for ALL character profiles (even ones that won't be revealed)

Update fan media page

Upload ALL existing episodes

Link chapter 2 on the home page!

Fix a broken link I noticed...

Upload ALL existing side stories (I already made them anti-spoiler!!! It took hours of frustration and wanting to give up lol)

Make holiday specials anti-spoiler (maybe? I might just unlock each CHAPTERS' holiday specials aka show only chapter 1's holiday specials if you haven't read up to chapter 2 since the holiday specials usually don't contain spoilers. Or I might do it by season or just not do it at all. Honestly it doesn't matter much lol)

Just in time for the BTA 2nd anniversary!1

After many many months of working on this website, it is finally fully functional and exactly how I designed it. And, somehow, I coded the new html and ALL javascript!!?

I have learned over all this time how to code by myself and I'm so proud of how far I've come. I started this project exhausted even thinking about coding. I made my brother do all of the code and I refused to learn because it was too hard. The whole thing seemed like imperceivable magic to me, only able to be done by tech geniuses. Now, I look forward to adding new things to the site by myself and love the fulfilling feeling of fixing a bug! It really goes to show you how rewarding trying new things and learning new skills is. (<-My anti-ai message for all of you)

Obviously this isn't even close to the end. I still have to update every week, fix the comment section, and add assets to character profiles, plus I'm sure I will come up with some crazy idea in the future that takes a ton of work. (POV I'm already exploring the idea of turning the website into some kind of game and you get achievements for exploring/ doing random things XD) But the structure IS finally done!

If you want to learn to code (or just make a silly website for your ocs), go to w3schools. They saved my and Adams butt 1000 times and this project literally wouldn't be possible without that awesome website. Knowledge should be free and accessible. Everyone say thank you for existing, w3schools! :)

hey dont get used to the good art, we go back to shittale next episode. i had bri (my twin) draw this one because it was one of the first things i ever fully scripted for weirdtale (besides the first 2 episodes) back in may of 2025. the recency bias had worn off and i was REALLY not wanting to draw it. i said i was going to scrap it and she said she would draw it!!! and suddenly, it seems like a good script when its drawn well XD

beleive it or not, ive always been known in our community as the better artist. i think shes trying to steal the crown. (why am i being so nice? because that is very rare for us, so its a treat for drawing the episode for me)

There are some instances where their roles in the story are changed, but they still have similar personalities from their original counterparts. Chara is still very creeped out and acts weird towards everyone, just without the murdeours intent…for the most part.

As for frisk, I’m not sure why they would go and kill half of an entire race yet. I just know it’s going to be a bunch of small things before one big thing sends them over the edge. Maybe Asriel being killed by rowdy monsters since they wouldn’t have their child in this AU. However, they had that more maternal personality and acted as a second mother to Asriel.

Also, I know you love doomed yuri and I have the perfect idea. Ok so for this AU, Frisk would’ve been born 10 years earlier to make this make sense. So, they are about 27 in 1982 when they first fell. And Yknow how they had a small little crush on Toriel?

Well, I’m thinking about expanding that and they both developed a small mutual crush towards each other (Sorry Asgore, but your wife technically isn’t your wife) and they share small parts about their lives and they go out to dinner. They wanted to go father, but they couldn’t. Because poor Asgore😭

And I should mention that in my swap AU, I plan to do the reverse of what Frisk and Chara are. Meaning they have the same roles in the story, it’s just their personalities are completely different. Toriel had no choice but to kill someone they truly loved and the guilt ate her alive so much that she ran away back to the ruins and hid while just constantly thinking about them and Asgore. As for Asgore? He found out that Toriel didn’t love him anymore and he became an empty husk of the bright king he once was. I can’t really blame him, to be fair.

As for Gauiyao? They’re the same as canon, Idk I might just invert his color palette 😭 All they did for now was Erase Charas memories about her father. Or “Chara.08”

Ohhhh my god I love these designs 😭😭😭

You are seriously cooking on these concepts. It's cool to see because not all of the characters motivations are revealed yet. It's very impressive how much you were able to come up with with so little to work from! Frisk and chara are some of the more mysterious characters (for now) although a LOT of characters are kind of mysterious right now.

Fun fact: chapter 1 was originally intended to be a lot shorter, so it wasn't supposed to take this long to get to the actual character development XD but now that we are in chapter 2, things are gonna be speeding up. (Like... next episode)

WOW I love the idea of frisk breaking up asgore and toriel's relationship XD what a good spin on it!

Does frisk have a freaking scythe or am I mistaken!?!? Honestly I hope I'm not mistaken!! Idk imma draw her with a scythe anyway XD

OH MY GOD WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW COOL THIS IS!!!! i love how Alphys still is the one with the crush even though shes swapped with gaster, like what a fun dynamic XD

I wonder how she lost her arm? The fact that gaster doesn't have his scars makes me think that alphys was the one who dealt with Chara. Wait would it be asriel? Or maybe just chara with asriel's personality... Or maybe frisk... The possibilities are endless!!!

If siqua is swapped with undyne... Then undyne would be calm and friendly... alphys would be a stoic new girl crushing on an ultra intense woman wow... (That is, if I'm right about who shes swapped with) My favorite things about swap aus is when it's not just "the same thing but roles reversed" cuz its usually just design changes that way. But this is exactly what i like in a swap au hehehe

I can't wait to see what it comes out to, and who is swapped with who. its a lot less clear-cut when there are three main characters, i feel like everyone's idea for a swap au would be drastically different

I actually made a swap au joke recently (like two days ago) and my brain was like "oh maybe thats where they got the idea?" Until I remembered that I haven't even posted it LMAO so that was silly of me

I get the feeling that Toriel gets on Gasters nerves a little bit. Toriel really isn't scared of him, she treats him like a kid since shes so much older than him, she is friendly and enjoys being around people (usually Gaster, since she has no contact with anyone else.) I think Gaster sees her as more of a test subject than anything, since he has to control and keep track of her powers. When he's around her, he enters "scientist mode" and doesn't seem to appreciate her being lighthearted. Gaster lacks sympathy for her situation, or if he does feel sympathy, he doesn't want to show it.

I also think he despises having his work life and home life mix. Hence, why he never formally introduced Sans and Papyrus to Siqua, who is essentially his only friend. He honestly seems disturbed that they know each other. When he sees Sans and Papyrus here, he immediately tells them to go home because he most likely sees Toriel as a part of his "work life". We've seen before that Gaster isn't really "protective" over his kids, so this isn't what he normally would've done. He must trust that Papyrus is genuinely strong enough to fight off dangerous monsters, because the only time he shows any sort of protection over his kids is when he finds Sans by himself without Papyrus nearby. Only then does he personally escort them home. (Where he was heading to anyway.)

Sans seems confused by getting waved at. Papyrus thinks this normal gesture is cool. They must not get friendly interactions with strangers very often.

((I had asked him a similar question before the massacre. I couldn’t fathom taking care of a child on your own, on top of college, and I still can’t. He acted annoyed, but something in him seemed almost giddy to talk about it. “I make time.” He said, and he stopped himself from continuing, as if I would have hit him if he went on for too long. Which, to be fair, I probably would have back then.))
