Siqua has had many confrontations with Gaster, and has questioned him many, many times. However, she has always considered herself his friend. One of her biggest faults as a character is her blind trust in her friend, so much so that even when provided evidence straight from his mouth that Gaster is an unfit parent, she purposefully chooses to soothe herself with the idea that it is just in her head. Today, however, I think she has changed her mind. :)

Unrelated and uncanon... Technically ⬇⬇⬇

Adam squiddy is @adamslayz4evr. I am referring to his story Weirdtale

This is very uncanon, obviously. Although technically everything about Guaiyao is canon, even something you were to make about them. I just mean.... In BTA, this is not something that would ever be real.

On Gaster's character profile, it mentions his avoidance to use words of religious origin. I don't think I've ever alluded to the reason before??? I genuinely don't know if i have. But i think you can tell Chara is a part of it. He only uses the word "God" by his definition of it, which does not include deities. Because Gaster is an atheist.

Gaster is implied to have antisocial personality disorder in this episode. Sorry sociopaths y'alls rep already sucks 😭 but ive been playing with the idea of having another character with ASPD whos a good person, unlike him.... We'll see if I end up committing to it. I'm sometimes hesitant to give specific mental illnesses to characters (especially gaster) because I may end up portraying it in a misleading way... Idk maybe i over think. But I would hate hate hate to feed into stigma, so if I'm not going to dive deeply into the mental illness and show all it's sides, I am reluctant to state it as canon.

I understand this is kind of a cop out 😭

My freak ocs that i spent all night drawing.... Grr...

These are the official (?) Redesigns of these little freaks. But Some of them were never designed before!

Coda doesn't get much screen time so i felt comfortable making her design absolutely insane lol

Tbh i didn't think it was possible to make a good Forte design cuz every time i tried i FAILED but i like this one a lot! I had to tone down her "forte-ness" for practicality (she can't be doing all that when shes undercover lolz). Also for the sake of my eyes.

Opus clef and ostinato are all very similar to their ogs tho.

Im actually really in love with this story!!! Clef is my favorite thing in the whole entire world and every mc (andante, cadance, opus, clef) is so endearing to me!! I love them eeee!

To celebrate, I'm posting some sprites from a youtube video I am working on documenting me FINISHING THIS SERIES! I'm making an entirely new ending since the old one would take too long, and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

these were made in collaboration with @adamslayz4evr , who made the base and all of the sprites except for 8 of them. Adam's favorite character-- he wanted everyone to know-- is toy freddy. So.... Yeah.

I made this interlude because I realized how bad Sans should be at social interaction. The only people he's ever had a real conversation with are his brother and his father. He's homeschooled and it crossed my mind that Gaster wouldn't want Sans to speak to anyone else because of how controlling he is over what information Sans learns.

So yeah 😅 he crawls on tables, doesn't know how to carry conversation, and invades peoples personal space. He doesn't think much about taking things from people because, yknow, he's used to sharing all the same things. I think normally, though, he stays far away from strangers, but he is rather familiar with Siqua. I think that and the fact that she is working on something he is interested in sort of overrode his shyness of strangers.

Did you think I forgot about Siqua's child psychology study? No... It's just not relevant yet.

Huh, Sans has some edge to him!

This is the most we've seen out of these two! Its very very sad. I was almost teary-eyed when scripting this episode heh....

I really really wanted to keep the fact that Sans reads Papyrus bedtime stories. It's no fluffy bunny, but its a similar concept, right? I kinda thought it'd be funny to have him reading donnie darko and thats where "fluffy bunny" came from but there was two things: timeline. This story takes place in the 90s lolz; and also symbolism. Sans reads Shakespeare often and it is hinted to in this episode that it is assigned to him as schoolwork. "I was supposed to finish it a while ago..." This is not only fitting for his character, but also for the context of this scene.

"Amen" is a stand-in for Sans's wish/need to be honest and be able to tell his real emotions, but it's those same emotions that are stopping him from doing so.

He tells his feelings through quotes. He was quoting in this episode and not reading— you see how he immediately closes the book? That was his heart-to-heart in the only way he knows how, reiterating someone else's words. Something something child psychology blah blah blah

TRIGGER WARNING: THIS EPISODE CONTAINS CHILD ABUSE!!

All this time I've been leading up to this episode since the very beginning. All this time we've been having a good time making fun of Gaster for being a shitty person, but now we are really seeing the effects of his actions.

This is not something that he has ever done before. Most of Gaster's abuse is verbal, neglectful, or controlling, with occasional aggressive outbursts, but never to this extent. (No, gaster will not be able to blame this on his lack of medication! Even though he has less self-control, he is still himself.)

Gaster directly quotes himself from ((harmless)) in this episode... 👀

And, again, this is not the last reference to Papyrus's tooth. 😓

This is a minor character so he may not get a character profile. But since he is a classmate, he may get a duo profile with the teacher... Maybe.

This is a "teachers pet" character.

Um funny story! When i was playing undertale i liked this guy because i called him something like "the cunt master of cuntyness" because he slaayyyss but

Uh i was looking at other peoples fan designs of faun and... they were all girls!? and now im looking at the sprite and im like... Yeah thats a lot more feminine than i remember.... But oh well! Deer have long eyelashes and i wasn't gonna get rid of his luscious lashes and croptop for the sake of gender conformity.

And i know this character doesn't even have a confirmed name. Why should pronouns matter? Just make them non-binary! And as much as i would love that, this character needed to be either a boy or a girl for their mini-plotline to work. Its a long story.

ALSO I've just always thought of this character as a boy! They just give boy vibes to me. idk. Maybe it was just they were super tiny on my screen and i didn't see them well enough.

I love sans and papyrus ragebaiting people. Especially gaster. Its endlessly entertaining for me lol

I really wanted what Gaster said to siqua— "You want to have a serious conversation with them? Good luck" — to be a rare truth coming from gaster LOL. Cuz I love the idea that they ragebait people as entertainment for themselves. Their trickster personas may even occasionally get each other, but I think they work better as a team. Plus, since they are constantly around each other and are so familiar with the tricks they use on others, they are definitely less susceptible to falling for it.

I was really hesitant to have him add "creator", but I think it would make sense for him. It would be technically correct. But I'm a little worried to have such detached wording for them. Even though sans and papyrus are, like, weird little scientific creations, i feel like having such words like "creator" leans into that a little too much. It creates too much of a simple narrative, when these characters relationships to each other are anything but simple lol! The more nuance the better.

(Also I think if gaster only sees them as creations, then that would get rid of some of his responsibility over his shitty actions. Itd be a lack of understanding rather than lack of care)

I wanted this interlude out before... next episode... comes out. It was the last place I could fit it without throwing people for a loop lol. But this int definitely takes place a quite while ago, maybe somewhere in chapter one.

Oh yay!!! Alphys isn't giving up!!! Hooray for romance!!!!

The song Siqua was humming is "poor boy", an old folk song. I was specifically referencing Ruth Elaine Schram's arrangement, tho (an arrangement that I sang for a music contest when I was 10ish!!) This song comes back many times in this series so I thought I'd be frank tehe.

Also, siqua wasn't being humble by saying she's bad at singing. I would have used the "x" notes(idk what they r called, they usually are for percussion or spoken parts of a song) to demonstrate her off-pitch, but i wasnt sure how to show the length of the note at the same time? Idk im also just lazy

Siqua and gaster swapped LMAO it seriously felt wrong to draw gaster in color and SASS.

So many silly visual gags in this episode hehehe!!! 😋😸😸😁❤❤ this is the last silly episode. 😨👹😭😰😰 its time to cry and scream and run 😈😈😈

Im being serious tho. Next episode is genuinely disturbing. Trigger warning for child abuse.
