They semi-cancelled Timothee Chalamet for simply saying he found opera and ballet boring, by the way.
How does Hollywood work these days?
Being a bit of a naive, foolish young man and (wrongfully) calling opera and ballet irrelevant?
“You must apologise immediately! No Oscar for you.”
Acknowledging you stole terrified teenage girls from their bedrooms?
“Eh, you get a pass.”
Kidnapping teenage girls seems kind of worse than being stupid and uncultured, in the grand scheme of things.
”Well, Tim is dating a Kardashian sister.”
Embarrassing as it is, this other man admitted to war crimes.

In the last few years, I moved from the southern US to the northern US. People always joke that people in the south can't handle the cold, or that people in the north can't handle the heat, but I would argue that while upbringing affecting preference is a factor, the more important factor is infrastructure. In Texas, we had lighter, draftier houses that breathed. This helps with heat, but in the winter, if it got down around 15⁰ f (like it usually did up to a couple of times a year), the houses couldn't keep up. It was impossible to heat the indoors over 60⁰, even with blasting the heat. Alternatively, buildings up north don't always have air conditioning, so if it gets up over 95⁰ it is really difficult to handle, especially for prolonged stretches. Climate isn't just personal preference. We have architecture from over the past 100 yrs that is adapted to handle the temps it was before global warming. The architecture in Europe is even older. If people say the temp is untenable, believe them.

Great March for Gaza 2026
Yesterday's "Great March for Gaza" which marched from Lurgan to Newry then onto Omeath to cover the distance of the length of the Gaza strip and raise money for aid.
Following a fairly uneventful march last year, a significant campaign was pushed by Loyalists this year to try and get the march blocked from passing the village of Scarva. Efforts included booking a "sponsored walk" at the same time and location and politicians trying to apply pressure on the Parades Commission. The march was allowed to go ahead with restrictions on flying flags/emblems or singing/chanting when passing the village. The morning in Scarva saw press and photographers threatened out of the area as hundreds of counter protesters assembled in the village. Along the first half of the route marchers encountered a small protest at Drumnacanvy Rd and Sugar Island Rd was sprayed with slurry (liquid shit for fertiliser) ahead of their arrival.
Upon reaching the section of the canal path on the march route that passes the village, myself and another photographer encountered a crowd of Loyalist protesters that were waiting for its arrival on the other side of the river. While taking photos of the crowd a single stone was thrown across the river, prompting the march to be held back by the police while riot police with water cannons were brought up in readiness for major disorder. After 90 minutes of waiting, DUP and TUV representatives negotiating with the police discussed with the crowd's ring leaders and the march was permitted to pass whilst under protection from riot police with shields. Jeering and insults were shouted by the protesters as it passed by before continuing on to be welcomed by a rally in Newry.

I just want you all to know i am planning to drive across the country to steal this street sign and hang it over my toilet
Dont announced your crimes over unsecured channels dumbass
I've spent the past month cooped up in a motel in Orange County planning my theft, before I steal the sign I will set off a cache of fireworks I've placed 5 blocks away from the nearest police station which will rain down on the pigs, the perfect diversion.

The Great March for Gaza, Northern Ireland 07/06/2025 Hundreds of people set off from the town of Lurgan and traversed the length of the Gaza strip to reach Newry, encountering counter protesters and supporters alike along the route. Welcomed at Newry Town Hall by a large crowd of supporters, the baton was then passed to carry the march onwards to Omeath, a town on the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic.
The money raised by the march has passed £9000 so far: https://www.peoplesfundraising.com/donation/great-march-for-gaza-lurgan-to-newry
This year's Great March for Gaza will be going ahead on 6th June. Following a concerted effort by Unionist politicians and loyalist groups in Scarva to try and disrupt the march, the Parades Commission has ruled it can go ahead on its original route with restrictions in place for marchers not to try and provoke a counter protest by Scarva residents as it passes the town.

It looks atrocious. Given how it was built though, I can't say I feel bad.
