LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN!!!

my application status has been updated to "IN REVIEW" which boosted my morale immensely. i have a good feeling about this.

i tried to finesse a group of college girls last night but they ended up being really nice so i didn’t take from them. they told me about their sororities and college campus and boyfriends. i lied my ass off to fit in and got some serious FOMO on my way home. 

if mom never left to get married to that bum, she would have let me go to college. i know art and film majors are fairly doomed after graduation, but i know i could have done something worthwhile. 

linda says i’m not smart enough to pursue further education and it would not be fair for me to succeed at it when i’d have the advantage of my powers. i can’t afford it on my own either which blows.

twas a busy two days! halloween was great. it’s been a while since i’ve done it but i’m only going to do this until i look good enough to return to my actual job.

as usual, drunk tourists are the best targets. they come and go and don’t think to report me because they’re having too much fun in the moment and by the time they sober up, i’m long gone.  men are ALLLWAAAAAAYSSSS the easiest for obvious reasons and they’re touchy which means i can amplify their urge to give without putting my hands on them. lowering their inhibitions through letting them make the moves gives the illusion of control and their trust and ease comes directly after. i find this is a best way to make the most money with dudes. women are 50/50 and that’s because some are weary and rightfully so! with these, i have to commit to being ditsy. lost college student whose friends ditched her with a dead cellphone is the bit here. i like to ask for directions to a hotel across the city and they will typically send me home in a cab with a minimum of $40. the ones with a maternal instinct take a liking to me fairly quickly. i have the aura of a stray cat to them and they’ll hand me cash without even needing to use my ability. one woman took me to eat at a restaurant in her hotel and hit me off with a hundred dollar bill.

i don’t have my own money at the moment so i can only get a meal in when the kitchen workers save me a piece of dessert or i call dibs on an order that didn’t get picked up at the end of a shift. 

the lack of eating is starting to show on me. my manager says i look ghoulish lately and she took me off schedule this week so i can get better. my aunt is gonna be pissed if she doesn’t get a check from me and she already took my tip stash during yesterday’s incident which means i’d have nothing to give to her come the following wednesday.

it’s been three days since my aunt raided my room. my books, art supplies tip money, computer, and phone are gone. i also can’t use journals anymore because apparently privacy is a privilege at her house. i sort of figured being here for over a decade without incident would inspire more trust between us but she still insists i'm using my powers on her.

i thought about it on a few occasions and i stupidly detailed the instances in journal entries over the years. she says this is enough of a threat in her eyes to warrant regular room and bag checks from now on.
