I saw this, and to be honest, I think the same.
I already spoke and gave my opinion about it and not to be disrespectful but I think that me being spanish is enough reason for me to take my time thinking because not to offend anyone, I think I'm the one that knows the best how politics and right wing parties and people work here specifically, what they represent, what they do, what they think, how they act, and how us leftists handle it and how every single gesture Ferran did affects us spanish people specially since we are in a dangerous situation revolving right wing political parties.
That being said, I already told y'all I would wait until more proof appeared and this is the case, so, knowing my country and knowing perfectly what these signs mean and what these people represent I can say for sure that I don't support him anymore and my opinion will never change until he publicly speaks up, apologizes, AND fixes what he has done. When the cap incident happened, it being a mockery was more than possible and I knew why, because, again, Spanish politics and knowing the relationship between USA and my country. Now that we can see he actively follows fascist figures like Vito Quiles (I can explain who he is also in case you are interested) and it's not just right wing using his image but HIM following those type of profiles actively, I think it's clear what is going on.
Right wing ideology has no space and it is NOT welcomed in my blog or in my life, I have never supported anyone in that political spectrum and I will not do it now.
I also ask for a little bit of empathy because, as a spanish person and specially as a valencian person there are so many reasons this comes as a huge shock for me, and more than angry I am deceived and profoundly sad this is happening. So I ask for a little bit of comprehension towards me and all my valencian and spanish mates because he was a really loved figure here for tons of reasons, one of them will be explained in a post later.
Thank you for sending me all of this proof, it is important for us to aknowledge it and being critic is essential, now more than ever.
I also ask for a little bit of logical thinking because many people are acting very violently against us many TUMBLR bloggers; I see it in my asks, I see it in the messages my mutuals answer to.
We are not responsible of what a grown ass man does and we could NOT know what the fuck he thinks politically, because I think it's wise to wait and now that we did and saw the definitive proof, I think we all have a final opinion.
I was not going to accuse him of something as heavy as fascism just because of a cap he could have perfectly worn in mockery because here in Spain that cap means nothing and many people have worn it crticially and ironically. So no, I wasn't going to accuse him for that when we also use the flag that oppress 50% the country also as mockery, as well as we use the hymn that oppress us and old political iconography that oppress us and all of that as I said in mockery and irony. That has happened since The Republic in 1936. In fact, we could talk about mockery in disguise since Francisco de Goya in early 1800s. We can also see it in Berlanga's movies, where he uses fascist ideology, society, and symbolism as a way to critize it while not looking too suspicious to avoid censorship. HOWEVER, now that we can see this proof it is wise to confirm he is in that spectrum and actively participates in it. So, I will stop supporting him and I want to make clear his political thinking does NOT align with mine at all.
