You were suffering, drowning, and suffocating

Hurting beyond my comprehension

Tormented by a past I couldn't understand

It had nothing to do with me

I was not your source

There was nothing I could do to help

Although didn’t do a good job adding to it

Nothing I could do to ease your pain

Be well my dear
