alright since bora is the first of the im family i think it’s wise to do some establishing of all the family dynamics and stuff !

so, the im family !! famous for being the owner of karma, one of the most successful jewelry manufacturers in korea, as well as being a global name. not oooold old money but not terribly new either, go 3-4 generations back now. the biggest rumor surrounding the family is they started off as jewel thieves and eventually turned it into a legitimate business !! whenever asked abt this all the ims are like - no comment -

her dad and mom have 4 kids in total: bora being the youngest of them ! she has two older brothers and an older sister.

her parents are in between doing so much for their kids and absolutely nothing at all ?? like they grew up having anything they wanted, and their parents placed a lot of value into their education + their public image. but they traveled so much that they were rarely there to raise them ? it was already pretty bad w their first kid but just progressively they became worse parents the more kids they had

but one thing is they’re really good at keeping their hands clean ? most people don’t even know how they do it, some say bribes, others say some of the family members just seduce their way out the headlines. but despite being a well-known family, they’re one of the more publicly low-key ones who stay in the shadows.

but the funny thing is ?? almost no one believes that bs LMAO ! funny enough the im family is filled with drama, and most people know this but it’s kinda this understood thing that u just don’t acknowledge it ? they’re so adamant they have nothing to hide that like ... u kinda start to feel crazy if u think something’s up w them, y’know ?

they value family connectivity so even if they hate each other’s guts they gonna ride w each other and that’s that !! but u know, just because they’ve done good at staying out the spotlight so far doesn’t mean they can hide forever ...

sooo. bora !! phew she is a handful.

i would say her most prominent trait is how confident she moves around the world ?? now on one hand she’s a complete people-pleasing train wreck. but on the other she’s the baddest b seoul’s ever seen ! she says what’s on her mind, isn’t afraid of judgement, and will not hesitate to throw hands if the time calls for it LMAO.

she does have anger issues tho um ?? and not like oh cute she’s so mad !! no. things can get v ugly v quick w bora, she’s really a ticking time bomb and all times and it doesn’t take much to set her off. biggest incident of tis was when she threw a whole display case down the stairs at a fancy venue during one of her parent’s parties. but she can seriously be v irrational and quick to anger, as her upbringing failed to teach her how to accept a “no” from someone.

but usually that behavior is more towards older adults / people in authority ? those around her age often see her as much more chill, although she still has a commanding presence. but w those her age she is usually pretty playful, and while her sarcastic, zealous attitude is a headache to her parents i imagine some would find it a relief she’s not as uptight as some of her family.

like because her parents didn’t really raise her she really resents them, so she’s always acting out to spite them ? u didn’t hear it from me but it’s also how she tries to get their attention ?? anyway it ends up making her feel like they hate her but she can’t stop so she’s in a really chaotic cycle

but at the same time bora often fails to acknowledge her privilege. like yes she’s had it kinda shitty but when she’s crying about being made to live in a penthouse all on her own w a stocked fridge and financial security ?? well, for the normal folk, it’s just really hard to relate to her level of struggle yk LMAO

a kleptomaniac. like for realll. fell in love w snatching things up from other people. because it gave her something to work for ? a rush ? a feeling you don't get by having everything handed to you since birth. her parents are v aware of this and literally sent her to therapy for kleptomania, only left her angrier & more willing to steal out of spite.

used to curse like a sailor, she heard her parents tell her not to ever curse one time and made it into a lifestyle ?? now she still swears a lot but more tone downed and less like a middle schooler who just learned what curse words were.

not really book smart, but has a skill in learning languages. her best ( behind korean, obviously ) is english & german, then italian, and her french admittedly sucks but she tries her best. went to international school which is how she learned, as well as studying abroad in berlin & new york. since a young age her parents urged her to learn the languages of their big business partners so it’s just been her lifestyle 

with her parents she’s v insecure, but projects it as rage. tbh she just feels like the family disappointment ( whether or not that’s true or not ) and everytime she sees her parents they remind her of everything wrong w her. so she gets v self conscious, and as a sort of protection lashes out and gets v angry ?

a compulsive flirt, even if she doesn’t really mean it. idk blame it on her mommy / daddy issues or smth LMAO but she's a sucker for giving as much as she loves receiving affection. literally she could be livid and u tell her her hair looks pretty or some shit and she’s all red in the face LMAO

w her friends she’s v loyal, the type to drive u herself over to ur cheating ex’s house to slash their tires !! she truly does not play and will go to the ends of the earth for her friends

down for whatever vibes. be it drinking, smoking, partying, whatever. it’s questionable whether bora likes these things because she truly enjoys them or because she wants to anger her parents ? but the point is whatever chaos ur muse has to throw at bora !

so right now she’s living as a model for her parent’s jewelry as well as a few other side gigs, spokesperson for karma, and as a recently kicked out daughter living on her own in a seoul penthouse ! and she’s been feeling a little messy lately so ... maybe it’s time for her to air out she of that family dirty laundry ??

sibling connections !! maybe even an angsty one where the other sibling feels bora’s had it really easy and isn’t being appreciative of how the family has to clean up her messes ? or on the other hand a sibling she has a really good relationship compared to her parents and they can relate in terms of similar family experiences !

fiancees ?? or two people who’s families have been discussing an arranged marriage w ? it’s v commonplace for her family to have “business arrangement” marriages, s o i could totally see this happening. bonus points if they’re exes forced to reunite or don’t get along bc i love mess !

on the other end ex’s with an actually healthy relationship ? whether it was bad timing or just not meant to work out, they didn’t end up as a couple but they did develop a really close & personal friendship out of their time together 

childhood best friends group ? i am definitely being inspired by tempted the drama here, but like a small group of rich kids who all grew up together ? bc of this they know each other’s strengths and weaknesses, embarrassing stories, and ... perhaps darkest secrets ?? haha i’m a dramatic bitch but i hope u catch my drift !

angsty push & pull ?? like they get on each other’s absolute nerves but there’s also such a strong attraction to each other they can’t deny ?? like give me all the will-they-won’t-they, longing stares, hidden implications, all of it !!!

gossipy friends who literally drink wine talk shit and keep each other in the know abt everything that goes down. pls bora’s such a chismosa let her get all her thoughts abt these people out !!

someone who calls bora out for her shit bc lord knows she needs it ?? like not afraid to tell her when she’s truly doing too much. maybe they even saw one of her blow up moments her parents tried to cover and holds it over her head all the time ?
