A lot of people were angry because as the deleted scenes revealed to us, Vic and Belch didn’t get their canon book deaths and I understand the anger but to me, that’s not what it was about.

To me, it was symbolic of how much power It has, to make Henry completely lose himself and murder his friends shows just how much It can control someone to do something against their will like murder all of their friends.

To me, it also reaffirmed that Pennywise is not a good figure. A lot of people felt strange about Pennywise giving Henry the knife to kill his abusive father because it almost makes Pennywise look good and that’s not what the intention of It was.

To me, the deaths of Victor Criss and Reginald Huggins was to confirm that It was awful, that It doesn’t feel empathy or take away the pain from abusers without demanding something else.

Without demanding more loss.

This is also exampled by how right after Beverly kills her father, Pennywise is there.

Pennywise does not feel empathy.

Pennywise sees food and potential.

It is not a good figure.

It will give you a little bit of light and take it away from you.

It does not “rescue” abuse victims, It sees potential to possess someone to kill for it.

It poses as Georgie Denbrough -a victim of It’s own doing- in front of his older brother who lost him, to mock the grief and suffering of Bill.
