Both left to rot. Both were described to be very sickly at their young ages, and the two grew up together believing that was the sole reason they were abandoned. Today, we'll start with the bird girl.

Call it fate. Call it a happy accident. Was there a higher being in the Hollows pulling the strings?

THUD, THUD, THUD - the thunderous steps of the passing soldiers on patrol were halted when they came upon a sound.

Found huddled together with the boy in a basket, crying. The blanket's edge on her side of the basket has only the words "Devona" etched in red thread, and with "Beaumont" beside it with, curiously enough, gold thread. One of the men, signaled their officers to take a look.

"Major Odysseus, we found them here, ma'am."

Odysseus took both of them in. Odysseus told them to think of her as however they see fit - be it a mother, an older sister or simply their mentor - and gave them both an education and a chance at life that the two would never have had if not for her. Devona's ability to experience the joys in life were fleeting, however.

She was affected with an entirely unknown ailment that makes her body need dosages of Ether to survive. Hollows, she was perfectly fine within them. But outside? Injections of Ether Liquid under the prescription of her mentor was made specifically for her. She was furious. Even more so that Basileus, her more dimwitted, slower brother, seemed to not have it.

Both Devona and her brother were enrolled at Helios Academy, with Odysseus making sure their applications were expedited. With hopes of researching and understanding more of the Hollows, as well as seeking help from the various experts on how to cure her of this disease once and for all.

Then, the Fall of Old Eridu happened. Their memories of the events were... blurry. It's either they chose to forget it or were unconsciously locked in the backs of their minds. Going back to their home, they found their once mighty mansion - described as a fortress to some - destroyed. With that, for the following weeks or maybe months, they spend wandering in Hollow Zero. Before being promptly rescued by a survey team.

It was then explained to them by the authorities that their ward, Major Odysseus, together with her men are involved with the Old Eridu Disaster and the Attack of Helios Academy. The siblings refuse to believe it, and stormed off.

For like a small period of time, they were your typical duo of Hollow Raiders doing anything just to survive, until...

An invitation from a member of the TOPS round table. The representative of [REDACTED], [REDACTED] said their condolences to what happened to their Mentor and they were willing to assist them since [REDACTED]'s success was owed so much to Odysseus' partnership.

It was then, with her brother, the Outis Intelligence Agency was formed. An extremely secretive black ops unit serving TOPs which is actually, in truth, created to be Devona's instrument of serving her vendetta. With Outis chosen because it was their mentor's callsign back when she was alive.

Though, is this really what she wants? What about the prospect of bringing everyone, just as Odysseus said, back to their homes?

PERSONALITY:

She hardly had any reason to emote in her life so she's always found with a stoic expression on her face. With the emotional outburst here and there, she rarely really shows emotion. Devona was taught to be methodical, cunning and ruthless in every situation.

Very opportunistic, she has no qualms discarding even allies if their usefulness runs outs.

Secretly harbors doubts about herself if she can live up to her mentor's reputation, that's why she chose an alternative spelling of her name to serve as her callsign.

Dabbles in the Occult stuff in hopes of finding a cure to her ailment, believes in the Creator but disrespects the once-glorious Exaltists. Considering them to be nothing but common rabble. Has a bit of a God Complex where she deems it her mission to guide everyone home.
