honeo was born to wealthy parents. his father is an lawyer from a family with a long tradition in law and politics. his mother is a doctor.
honeo has peruvian ancestry on his mother’s side. her family came from peru to japan to help fascilitate imigration to peru during the early 1900s when there was an influx of japanese into peru. they also helped to fascilitate the early information and diplomatic exchange between the two countries. his mother’s side has many politicians on it.
honeo loves and respects the hell out of his mother. she’s a pediatrician and an established physician who’s been practicing since he was a child.
she kept an apartment seperate from his father so honeo views them as two people who weren’t deeply connected.
she is also where honeo gets his hair and eye color.
his father was a propononent of corporeal punishment and though honeo rarely openly speaks ill of other family he would say that his father occasionally took it too far. honeo isn’t fond of violence and he prefers to try and solve problems by any other means before resorting to violence.
his infertile uncle legally adopted him in his mid-teens to pass his portion of his financial management company down to honeo when he would eventually die.
honeo’s quirk is technically bone manipulation. for the broad part of his life he’s only been able to manipulate his own bone (provide himself an exo skeleton or pull free a bone and replace it with another) but he’s continued to work it and recently (as of his 30s) as started to be able to manipulate the bone of others though it takes a lot of time.
the fact he has an appealing facial structure is very deliberate, as is his height (6′4″). don’t give a teenager control over their level of attractiveness or height.
honeo attended the UA business class. he had a quirk that may have been able to be used for violence but he really balked away from violence at that age and decided to nurture his other abilities. his uncle provided a reccomendation that allowed him to sit out the business class entrance exam.
despite the fact she’s not mentioned often --- honeo is married.
with a general perception that men who weren’t marriage in their early 30s are less trust worthy he had his eyes on suitable marriage about as soon as he finished his bar exam.
honeo met a woman through work connections who was a lawyer herself and set up to inherit from her own family, meaning she was of similar economic privledge.
utami (now 34) was was 26 when she met honeo (now 32) who was two years her junior.
they get along well and have an understanding that their marriage is based mostly on societal expectation and the willingness neither of them has to part from their career.
utami has a quirk that makes her voice very melodical / appealing to listen to.
the two actually are planning to have a child - utami had her eggs frozen (under guise of having too delicate of a constitution to carry herself) and when they’ve recently begun to plan looking for a surrogate.
has similarly come to believe in AFO’s teachings.
honeo, ultimately, would like to step into politics.
