If you visit Santa Carla's boardwalk, you might come accross a towering man with a saxophone filling the night air with smooth, soulful melodies. Broad-shouldered, impossibly muscular, perpetually shirtless, and glistening with oil under the street lights, he's hard to miss. Despite being such a familiar sight, almost nothing is actually known about him. Tourists and locals alike have spent years creating stories to explain who he really is. Some swear he's a vampire. Others insist he's the one hunting them. A few claim he also dances at the nearby stripper club, while plenty dismiss him as a harmless madman who's missing a screw. Whatever the rumor, everyone agrees on one thing: there's something undeniably suspicious about the saxophonist.
Curiously, no one who has spoken with him has much of a bad word to say. He's polite, approachable, and always happy to entertain anyone willing to stop and listen, earning the occassional tip as his music drifts across the waterfront. If anything, he seems content living a quiet life beneath the moonlight. Still, every so often, he'll disappear without explanation for days at a time before returning as though nothing happened. Most people chalk it up to eccentricity. Those with more vivid imaginations, or perhaps a sharper mind, wonder if the music is only part of the performance.
