keep pushing forward but he keeps pulling me backwards

ahhhh i feel like these two were so!!!!!! adorable!!!!! <3333 they are both so kind and helpful!!! I can see where they may have met volunteering or something?? I feel like peter can be a workaholic but he got into his line of work to help people!!! and, if he can, he’s always willing to lend a hand!!! I think that typically ends up just being in monetary donations vs his time b/c he has more of the former, but he does what he can!!!

anyway, not sure what caused them to break up? i haven’t thought much about that, yet, so i’m open to whatever!!! I feel like they are still friendly w/ each other (unless you think they had some kind of messy split? i feel like it would have to be over a misunderstanding though haha b/c they are both so well meaning haha but pete’s social skills are in need of a lot of work so that’s def a possibility!!) 

I totally love the volunteering idea! Zinnia def is the sort of person that has like, food drives and charity events at her comic shop like ALL THE TIME, so I’m sure if Peter like noticed her, idk, flyer for a Thanksgiving Comic-Read-A-Thon to support the local food pantry and homeless shelter and so stopped by and dropped off some blankets/clothes/food/etc one day at her shop, Zinnia would have been like: “OMG THANK YOU! YOU ARE SUCH A GREAT HELP! PEOPLE WILL BE SO GRATEFUL! YOU’RE FANTASTIC, PLEASE TAKE A COOKIE!” before going back to reading a comic book out loud to a bunch of kids gathered around her. And I could see that possibly charming Peter so he like, idk, kept coming back and helping out and it started becoming like a ~thing~ with them and became a flirtation and eventually a cute relationship!!!!

And yea, I’m definitely here for the breakup being some sort of misunderstanding, especially bc Zinnia is like, still pining after Peter and like!!!! New Rules by Dua Lipa is her LIFE THEME now after their breakup.

So like, I think she has a lot of unresolved feelings and thoughts about the whole thing, so maybe like... Peter THOUGHT he clearly broke up with Zinnia, but she thought they were on, like, just a bit of a pause? Until she saw him with someone else and he like, stopped returning her calls/texts as quickly as he used to? And so suddenly she was like: “oh.... oh, I guess... I guess we broke up??????”

And like, because it’s all unresolved on her side, I agree that one: it’s probably been at least like a year/year and a half since they broke up, and two: they’re friendly, but Zinnia is like.... much more reserved around him than she was even before they were dating, which is kinda against her nature?

even tho it means many of the witches in town look down on her bc she is a symbol of disobedience

zinnia owns the local comic shop/record store and loves it!!!!!

which is really ironic bc, while she cared a lot, she never loved him while they were together but now that they’re not…well…

honestly none of that is surprising to her, tho

zinnia has always been a disaster when it comes to her personal life and this is just one more example of that

fortunately, she’s a loT better in business and her work is thriving and she loves it so much!!
