Looks like a fucking disease
I feel just a little bit left out sometimesâŚ
âAkoiromantic
Someone who experiences romantic attraction, but doesnât wish to act upon it or for it to be reciprocated.
e.g., âI had a huge crush on her, but as soon as we got into a relationship, doing romantic things with her felt uncomfortable. I think I might be akoiromantic.ââ
waitâŚw-what
IâŚwell fuck
âŚâŚâŚwhat, huh, uh, huh?
Aaah!! It makes me happy that this seems to be going around again, and it makes me even more so happy to see people in the tags realizing they might be akoiro/lith!! Iâm going to reblog this one with the definition, so everyone if you would, please spread this one around!! Spread awareness for Akoiromantic/Lithromantic!!!!
So, like, are specific feelings regarding relationships now gonna become their own sexuality? Have we reached that point of special snowflakery?
COMMITMENT ISSUES ARE NOW A SEXUAL ORIENTATION
YOU GET A SEXUAL ORIENTATION, AND YOU GET A SEXUAL ORIENTATION!
End this
what the fuck is this
exactly what it says it is
âiâm trans and non dysphoricâ is like saying âiâm gay and not exclusively attracted to the same biological sexâ itâs incorrect and appropriative and there are already other labels in place for you to use.

Personal rambling.
I have two small stick n poke tattoos. ( I did have three, but the one on my finger wasnât deep enough) I have a heart on my right wrist and a crescent moon on my left ankle.
Today some tried arguing with me about how my stick n pokes are too small to be considered âreal tattoosâ. Along with how the heart one is stupid for whatever reason.
Lol what? A tattoo is a tattoo, no matter how big or small it is, no matter if itâs full of details or not.
My tattoos ( I have five in total) are mine. Theyâre what I wanted, some of them have meaning, some of them donât and thatâs okay.
Donât make fun of, or argue about someoneâs tattoos because YOU donât like them.
Anyway, rant over.
Doesn't change the fact that they're gross and unsanitary unless done professionally in a shop.
Claiming a non-dysphoric person is transgender is like pointing at butter and saying itâs cheese.
'why be cis when you can just be trans?'
bye.
Being trans isnât cool.
It isnât cool that Iâll never be able to have biological kids.
It isnât cool that I have to prove myself to several different doctors to get the treatment I need to make life bearable.
It isnât cool to be assaulted and abused for something you have no control over.
It isnât cool that my family treat me like dirt, that Iâll never be able to transition with their support.
It isnât cool to wake up every day and not even be able to look in the mirror because what looks back is unbearable.
It isnât cool, or quirky, or fun, or a game, to be trans. Itâs serious and it affects people for their whole lives. Iâm sick and tired of the way trans people are treated and perceived.
It also isnât cool to have your struggles and your issues mocked by people who says your dysphoria doesnât matter, or use terminology that equates you to âscumâ when you follow and agree with the textbook and medical requirements for being transgender. It also isnât cool that people think that the only way theyâll be recognized if they kill themselves to get a hashtag, because of people glorifying and deifying and martyring the trans children that have done it. Itâs really isnât cool that people separate trans people by color and by gender, saying that one or the other has a certain precedence and priority over the other, that if you donât fit into one specific category, or because you fit into one specific category, you shouldnât be valued as much as the others.
Itâs wrong, and itâs terrible, and it really needs to stop.
Gender =/= gender roles
Gender:Â Your brainâs map of the body. If your internal body map includes a penis and a flat chest, your gender is male. If your internal body map includes breasts and a vagina, your gender is female. (Notice how I didnât even mention sex.)
Gender roles:Â How you behave in society according to gendered expectations. Do you like wearing pants and ties and having short hair? Do you like to wear dresses and get your nails done? Does neither sound appealing? Do both? Good news! It doesnât actually matter! You can inhabit whatever gender role you want. You can mix nâ match! You can say fuck it and do whatever the hell makes YOU happy! Does that mean everyone will respect you? No, and that sucks. No one denies that. But you have to place your own safety, and then happiness, first.
So when you say you are a male because you like to inhabit a stereotypically male gender role, but your internal body map is absolutely fine with your female sex, then no, you are not trans. You like a male gender role.
So when you say you are a female because you like to inhabit a stereotypically female gender role, but your internal body map is absolutely fine with your male sex, then no, you are not trans. You like a female gender role.
So when you say your are genderqueer/agender/bigender because you like to inhabit a combination of gender roles, or eschew gender roles entirely, but your internal body map is absolutely fine with your sex, then no, you are not trans. You just are being a person with a variety of interests some of which are arbitrarily considered âfeminineâ and some which are arbitrarily considered âmasculineâ.
When you claim that you MUST be trans (or genderqueer or neutrois or anything else) because you like the other genderâs stereotypical gender role, or a combination of gender roles, while being fine with your sex, you are literally saying only men can act one way and only women can act another and when someone steps out of those boxes, well, they must not actually be men/women!
Which means youâre sexist.Â

Iâm just letting all trans womyn and womyn in general to avoid arguing with trans*tar. Heâs so vehemently transmisogynistic and misogynistic and violent that itâs better just to block him.
Obviously you can argue if you choose, I believe in all of you, just please be safe.
Apparently Iâm violent too. Iâm also so traumatic that my name needs to be censored.
lol trans tar
"Many trans guys choose not to get bottom surgery, as the current methods arenât very advanced."
bro, my doctor took skin from the inside of my cheek and made it so i can pee out my dick
dudes can have fully sensate 6â erect dicks and use them for penetration and have orgasms with them
"not very advanced"
God, do you have no idea the incredible strides made in medical technologies over the past 30 years
*crazy dramatic hand shaking in the air*
Using the word âqueerâ is a refusal of âliberal conservativism.â
You know, like fighting for âgay marriageâ to the exclusion of nearly everything else; like fighting for gay (note: not even trans) people in the armed forces without challenging imperialism; like pushing through hate crimes laws without challenging the prison-industrial complex.
âGolbat
I believe Iâve mentioned this before, but you could always try actual activism instead of picking up a slur and calling it a day.Â
The people youâre trying to tick off are just going to assume you mean gay anyway and the people who youâll actually harm with it are the vulnerable, at risk members of the lgbt community.
âBut you see, OUR transphobia is okay because itâs aimed at trans MEN and weâre defending trans WOMENâ
Nah if you wanted to show how fucking accepting you were of ANY trans person then you wouldnât be acting fucking transphobic in the first place by calling them abominations and tossing around goddamn SLURS at them while giving that bullshit-ass excuse of âwell theyâre MEN so itâs okayâ
UNBEARABLE DAILY PAIN IS A PRIVILEGE
Yo Swimmin I donât know about you but it is such a privilege to spend hours at night crying and praying for any kind of peace until Iâm dehydrated and almost throwing up. I love having the privilege to not have been able to recognize my own face for 14 years.Â
Seriously though where do you find these people?
read that hoe

I thought you were a really cool dude until you had shit to say about stealth trans men. As I am a stealth trans man and I'm not ashamed of myself
I AM a cool dude! Iâm sorry you feel differently about me. If you would like to come off anon and have a conversation about opinions, I more than welcome it! If not, I apologize for hurting your feelings. I donât believe the word âashamedâ ever came out of my mouth, and if it did, I apologize.
Iâm a critical gender studies major, which means all we discuss is race, gender, sex, orientation and what not. Basically all different types of oppression. The medicalization of trans bodies, although helping us get surgeries, is very detrimental to our health. The thing is, society WANTS us to medically transition, to then be able to pass and become heteronormative again. By reclaiming our identities we are telling society not only do we exist, but we are HUMANS.Â
The greater number of open transmen, the greater number of men we can help after us. The greater of a difference we can make. The greater our population, the safer ones after us will feel. The more information online the better. The more cis people who know a trans identified person, the better. THATS why I wish there were more open trans individuals.Â
Your choice, is your choice. I have many stealth friends, so Iâm not saying Stealth people are bad peopleâ at all. I understand that many of us live in unsafe places, and those arenât the people Iâm referring to either.Â
Like I said, I apologize if i hurt your feelings, and i welcome a conversation on this! I still wish you the best.Â
"Very detrimental to our health." Source?
Christ, one of THOSE. Iâm getting real tired of these majors as a thing people can actually study. Anything can be believable, no matter how extreme, if all you do is circle-jerk over it all the time. Fuck that noise, âdetrimental to our healthâ.
transstar I donât believe I need a source. To have to go to a doctor to claim a mental disorder, to be able to access medication, is VERY detrimental to the health of trans identified people. In my opinion..if that makes things better.
toughasbro I donât know you and you donât know me, so I donât really appreciate you making fun of my major. Iâm kind of at a loss as to how either of you think its not harmful to have to admit to be mentally ill over and over again in order to receive insurance benefits. Iâm a really nice guy, but it seems like both of you are going out of your way to try and knock my opinion, which I really donât tolerate. Like I said above, if anyone wants to have a convo about this, I welcome it, but i DO NOT WELCOME THE BASHING OF ANY TRANS INDIVIDUAL.Â
I am going to regret this most likely but I am going to try a more measured response that might clarify why some people are displeased with what you are saying- so letâs start here:
âThe medicalization of trans bodies, although helping us get surgeries, is very detrimental to our health. The thing is, society WANTS us to medically transition, to then be able to pass and become heteronormative again.âÂ
Ok, surgery in the case of trans people is a medical procedure done to alleviate sex dysphoria. Unless you are claiming it is a cosmetic choice akin to an extreme body mod but considering our very high suicide rates (even within accepting communities or families) due to the stress of dysphoria I hope you can see where such a parallel would be neither wise nor accurate. Testosterone, similarly is a schedule 3 substance only prescribed medically- typically for those with an endocrine disorder- and our desire to access is NOT like a bro at the gym hoping to use it for some cosmetic purpose but rather as a cure for a set of symptoms collectively called âGender Dysphoriaâ by the DSM-V. Our needs, for surgery and hormones, are medical in nature. The âmedicalizationâ of trans bodies is historically set by trans people, we sought access to these things from the very beginning, because they are the only things that alleviate our distress. Therapy has not worked. Being told to âlove yourselfâ has not worked any more than being told âlove Jesusâ has worked. For the dysphoric, in the words of Laverne Cox, âIt is not elective, it is not cosmetic, it is life-savingâ.  We are seeking medical care because being trans is a medical condition.Â
And speaking of therapists, their existence and the fact that we have have had to fight tooth and nail for access to basic medical care (you want to talk gatekeeping?), that we really are what we say we are and shouldnât be held to higher standards of masculinity or femininity than the general populace or that we shouldnât have to be straight, that we shouldnât have to be anything except dysphoric and in medical need of transition for our mental and physical health is evidence enough that âsocietyâ* absolutely does not want us to transition. In nearly every gender clinic in the West not touched by trans activism âtransitionâ is considered the worst possible outcome and we have been subjected to everything you can imagine in order to prevent that outcome.Â
If we honestly lived in a society that believed in transition so strongly then being trans alone would not be a source of oppression. It would be like any other illness where you went to the doctor with symptoms and they guided you through the medical process for relief of those symptoms. And weâd have a one-up over others with invisible (mental or otherwise) disorders in that people would apparently believe us and encourage us.
*In some countries what you say is true, transition that leads to a heterosexual outcome is preferred over (cis) homosexuality and there is a different conversation to be had there. Still, for dysphorics transition is a medical need.
Second point here:
âIâm kind of at a loss as to how either of you think its not harmful to have to admit to be mentally ill over and over again in order to receive insurance benefits.â
I am kind of at a loss as to how you apparently have such a dim view of people with mental illness. Is it âharmfulâ to people with ADHD (another condition listed in the DMV-V) to have to âadmitâ to being âmentally illâ in order to access medication? Should adderall be free to access to anyone who wants it and insurance should have to cover it for them? College kids studying for finals week should get insurance covered ADHD medication despite not being ADHD? Of course not, medication goes to the people who need it and, yes, that involves âadmittingâ that⌠though as someone with ADHD (as well as Gender Dysphoria) it never saw that as a bad thing or as detrimental to my health (if anything it was a good thing that gave me access to medication that I needed in order to be healthy). The only reason for any kind of shame or distress is the social stigma and misunderstanding that comes with having any sort of mental illness or invisible or chronic disorder. But for me the response to that is not to eliminate all categories of mental illness (etc.), after all, I will still need medical help on both fronts, but rather working against mental health stigma in society as well as stigma against invisible and chronic conditions.
Hopefully that clarifies things.Â
Thank you. More intelligent addressing of deprecated and somewhat bigoted stigma that does nothing but harm.
Okay but maybe things like
calling cis people â boringâ and âunelightenedâ
saying gender is a game you can win
telling people who are uncomfortable with gender roles to âbecome transâ (in a really creepy way no less),
and saying being trans is a choice (that anyone can make)
is why people think youâre treating being trans like a trend.
Just maybe.
