Anyone who’s ever listened to Hundred Waters can agree to say that these guys are total music nerds and deep into their craft. They invoke a kind of intellectualism and progressive thinking that could, in a way, be intimidating for some guys interviewing musicians on subjects like peanut butter, Will Smith and bad puns...

Short on time, we had to skip the interview but still managed to snap a couple of polaroids.

Hundred Waters just concluded their North American Spring leg in New Orleans a couple of days ago and will be playing SXSW this week!

We were very excited to have our first touring band sit with us to chat about peanut butter and stuff.. Ahmed, leader of tropical pop combo Sinkane, represented his band for this marvelous, highly intellectual interview! For this one, we mixed a couple of questions from two famous questionnaires (Proust and Weird) with some of our usual "a 5 year old's asking" questions (that peanut butter one is ours)!

BSTB: At this very moment, what sound(s) can you hear, apart from your computer?

Sinkane: Water coming out of the faucet in my bathroom. Cars driving past outside my apartment.

Without looking at your watch, what time is it?

Time for me to go grab something to eat. Drink a coffee too.

Powdered or syrup Nesquick?

Powdered Nesquick! I have so many fond memories of drinking that as a kid!

Crunchy! I love textures!

Sinkane are now heading for Europe, supporting their most recent album, "Mean Love" (DFA Records). They will conclude this tour back in North America this coming June.
