AWWWWW poor thing doesnt want to interrupt Dana- who never needs to stop and always wants to get the driving over with quickly as possible- but it also means that she ends up wriggly-squirmy as she tries and tries not to think about the strawberry milk Dana got her at the drive-through or about how long she'll need to hold it til they get to the motel.

She THINKS shes hiding it well- so it's so embarassing when Dana looks over to her with a gentle 'Need to stop, hun?' that she blurts out 'NO' before she's really thought about it.

And when Dana asks skeptically if she's sure, it would be even more blushy to admit that actually yes she DOES need to go, as if she can't tell.

The first time, she wakes up first, heart pounding and sick with anxiety that its happened at Dana's house- but its not much and she hasn't got Dana wet and there's a glass of water on the bedside table and she's able to get away with having 'spilled her drink'- Dana is tired that she barely glances over, just stumbles out into the corridor for fresh bedding and Emma just about gets away with it.

But the second time Dana wakes up first and the first she knows of it, she's being gently roused with a soft 'C'mon hun, up you get, gotta do a little clean up-' She's confused- and then mortified when she realises she's wet. She's stammering apologies that Dana just brushes off as she's ushered into the shower.

The third time, she wakes up first and alone in bed because Dana has gone out for a late-night drink of water and smoke break- and has to face the humiliation of being caught by Dana trailing down the hall with an armful of wet sheets in damp pjs. She opens her mouth to try to make up and excuse and bursts into tears.

It's so unfair, she thought she got over this, she didn't DO this anymore.

But she does- and after two weeks, she and Dana are both tired from broken nights and every morning her eyes are red from crying over her accident and she knows that Dana can tell she's trying to limit her water intake. Even as Dana cuddles her and reassures her that its no big deal, that she doesnt care, that she has plenty of spare sheets and pjs, she still hates it.

The pullups appear in the bathroom as if by magic and she's about to storm out and yell that she doesnt need them- when she pauses. She doesn't want to argue about it because that would just open the door to having to talk about her bedwetting which she really doesnt want to do ever ever ever.

So she puts one on that night and sleeps through for the first time in ages and wakes up wet....but with the bedsheets and her pjs still bone dry. She doesn't say anything and neither does Dana but she can feel herself blush when Dana kisses her forehead and says shes looking more rested.

only to have dana notice her wriggles and squirmy fidgeting and ask if she needs the bathroom

denying it while looking so embarassed

and dana raising a disbelieving eyebrow and telling her to try anyway because she looks like shes going to start peeing in her pants any moment, while guiding her in the directiion of the bathroom

watching their eyes get big and their breath catch as they start leaking

asking if they need the bathroom and pointing out the wet patch between their legs when they frantically shake their head

gently reassuring them its ok if they cant quite hold it, that it looks like they've wet themselves a little bit but that its ok because you can take them to the bathroom

leading them to the bathroom as the wet patch gets bigger and bigger with every step

bringing them back dry clothes and gently coaxing them to open the bathroom door as they sniffle

giving them a huge hug and promising to keep it a secret

tucking them under your arm to watch a movie and cuddling them against you as they bury their head into your shoulder

these things are entirely unconnected

tried so so hard to hold it like a big girl

and um

i was entirely successful

weeing in my knickers like a baby wouldve been so embarassing

so um

Being able to stop for a minute, only to start wetting again as soon as you're out of bed.

Being gently asked if you want to wear a pullup to bed so you dont make the bed wet again.

Not saying anything, just....waiting for Dana to notice and take care of her.

once in a blue moon, cassie has a little too much to drink and wakes up in a wet bed. it ruins her mood for the rest of the day and she feels ashamed and beats herself up over it. other people who know her well ask if she's doing okay, but what can she say? 'i'm in a bad mood because i wet the bed last night' ?? she hides it whenever it happens

AWWW i love that anon, thats adorable- bc yes ofc she'd feel dreadful over it....and then she'd feel stupid for being upset because she's a doctor, she knows about how bodies work and how they can fail you and how enuresis isn't a moral weakness, how she's told countless patients that they don't need to be embarassed over things....and there she is, dwelling and pouting over a wet bed.

I don't picture Cassie as having accidents herself but she'd be so so kind and understanding to anyone who did.

Can fully imagine Javadi wriggling around because she's desperate for the bathroom but also she needs to finish The Thing and she drank so much coffee to keep her energy up and she knows it'll look so unprofessional to run to the bathroom.....and Cassie coming and ordering her to take a break....and then popping into the bathroom when Javadi doesn't return for a bit to hear sniffling from a stall.

OH ok XD

My answer remains: she would be the sweetest. If she woke up first, she'd be really matter of fact and unbothered about it- and by the time she woke me up with a gentle 'Hey sweetie, can you wake up? Nothing to worry about, just need to do a quick sheet change-' she'd have already fetched fresh sheets, started the shower, laid out towels and dry pjs. She'd be very much 'no apologies needed' and act like it's nothing- but if I started to say sorry and tear up, she'd be very soft and pull me into her arms to cuddle me better.
