German pastor Martin NiemĂśller after WWII:
âFirst they came for the socialists, and I did not speak outâbecause I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak outâbecause I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak outâbecause I was not a Jew.
Then they came for meâand there was no one left to speak for me.â
After World War II, NiemĂśller openly spoke about his own early complicity in N*zism and his eventual change of heartâafter it was too late. His powerful words about guilt and responsibility still resonate todayâserving as an indictment of passivity and indifference.

Hope you're all doing well and wish all my American friends the strength to get through the next few years.
What a Charlie Foxtrot our government has become.
For the rest of the world, I'm not one who voted for any of this nonsense, fyi.
October 3, 1992: Sinead OâConnor appeared on Saturday Night Live singing an acapella cover of Bob Marleyâs song âWarâ, changing some of the lyrics to include references to child abuse, and ending the performance by tearing up a photo of Pope John Paull II and saying âfight the real enemyâ.
This ruined her career and she was telling the truth, as we all came to find out years later.
Please remember she didnât consider it as a career ruiner.Â
To speak on how it âruinedâ her career ignores her own feelings on it. Please acknowledge how she felt about it, instead of how you see it.

Infographic of my life
This is like an infographic snapshot of my life.Â
Last week, my PS4 quit working...it had been having some software issues and decided to just not boot up properly. I removed it and put my PS2, which I've had since 1998, back into service. I also put the mini NES that the boys quit playing alongside the PS2.Â
I sat there and reflected on the HOURS of video games I've played on the PS2 and realized that, for me, video games have regularly been a part of my life since I got out of the Navy in 1996. Partially, as a form of therapy but also as a form of entertainment.Â
But, there's no doubt that literally for half of my life, there's been video games close at hand.
Hannah
I met Hannah, briefly, when my wife and I were returning home from a dinner date because we happened upon Hannah at the scene of an accident between her and another vehicle at the intersection of Fred George and Old Bainbridge on Saturday evening (18 Feb 2023).Â
We saw the aftermath of the accident between two pick-up trucks as we cautiously approached the intersection and it had apparently just happened. A red truck, was off of the road and partially up a telephone pole. As we got closer, I saw someone on the ground by a white truck and nobody was attending to this person. I stopped the car and told my wife to call 911. I was a rescue swimmer in the Navy so I had to switch into that gear as I evaluated the scene of the accident to make sure there were no other hazards. The person in the red truck was with some other people and walking around. But, the person I saw on the ground, was at least conscious but not moving.Â
I quickly did a head to toe visual but didn't want to move her, however, something was leaking and I asked someone to make sure it wasn't gasoline. So, thanks to the guy that checked but he was also smoking a cigarette and told him to go somewhere else.Â
I knelt down and could see her eyes open so I asked her name and told her mine. "Nice to meet you," she said. I asked if she could wiggle her hands and toes, which she did. So, that was promising. But, as I was able to survey the scene of her truck, it appeared she hit her head on the windshield and was probably not wearing her seatbelt which was very concerning. She asked if she had any blood on her. She did have some on her forehead from where she hit her head but it wasn't bleeding at the moment. I changed the topic and asked about her tattoo on her right arm. Then she asked, "Would it be weird if you could hold my hand?" Of course, I obliged, and just kept making sure she didn't close her eyes.Â
She just remained still and I did what I could to make sure she was comfortable. By this time, the police and very shortly later, an ambulance arrived. I left Hannah in their care. My wife was obviously very upset about the whole thing and we just really hope Hannah and the other person are okay. Please thank your first responders who do this for a living and please wear your seatbelts.Â
Dearest Hannah, I hope and pray you are doing well and will never forget about you.Â
May you find growth and strength from this circumstance.

Watching twilight on a poorly hung projector. (x)
There's literally nothing better about something that just makes an entire room laugh harder and harder with every moment. No words, no explinations, no one talking, just pure laughter.
