Young mind twisted, from all the lies you told

You say Love is weak, an act of cowardice

You say Love is meek, full of foolish sacrifice

But a mere semblance of love has been all they've ever seeked,

Amidst the growing sense of worthlessness that haunts them in their sleep

When the cake turns out more than a little

Too unedible and tart

You blame them for being bitter

For crumbling apart

For in all of that is baking,

Precision that it is

You may learn of all the tips but will never hear of this

There is more than just the recipe, purpose or practicality.
