Current State of BaW

Blossom Mod here! So, this blog isn’t necessarily dead... But big changes are coming to it. It’s been four years since I made this blog, and while I have a lot of nostalgia for it, the current story is not going to continue.

Mirror Mod and I have looked back at many story and muse-related details, and have begun to rework them. In short, the blog is eventually getting a reboot. While all old posts will remain on the blog for archival purposes, they will no longer be canon once things have officially restarted. To help with sorting (and lessen the chances of confusion), new posts will be tagged differently from the old ones.

That’s the gist of what’s going on-- Crimson and Ash will still be around! But their portrayals may differ from what they originally were.

Hey Ash I know you mentioned her once or twice but would you mind telling us more about Blotte?

“Oh, ah, they’re a pure joy to be around.” A simple correction for what was hopefully a simple mistake. “I’ve known them since they were taken in by the Royal Family– back then, they were just a small child! Her Majesty put me and some other servants in charge of taking care of them, and they’ve grown so much in the years since! Sort of similar to how I came into familiarity with the Royal Family, myself… But I digress.”

“There’s hardly a place they can go without making any new friends, and they’re such a great learner! Such an explorative and curious personality…” Ash chuckled a bit. “While they’re well behaved and polite most of the time, they do have a streak of laying complicated pranks around Royal Road, heh… Nothing too serious or malicious, of course, but certainly complicated. Just goes to show their intelligence, I suppose!” He beamed with pride.

“Dara, who are you talking to?” A sky fairy with large, square glasses asked, approaching Ash with a tilt of their head. They had an outfit similar to Ash’s, but a bit simpler with a loosely tied bowtie. “And who are you talking about, anyway?” Their face was covered in freckles and random dark splotches, and one of the near-white petals on their head had a dark spot on it– as if ink had spilled there. In their hands, they held a book and a pencil.

Ash smiled at them, and ruffled the petals on top of their head. “Ah, it’s nothing, Blotte. I was just about finished, anyways– I see you’re ready for today’s lesson?”

Daranza DX popped back and squeaked in surprise at the sight of Shard’s knife, putting a hand to his chest as the rain continued to pour. Between his shivers and chattering teeth, he managed to say something: “Ye-yes, it’s me... We-were you ex-expecting someone else?”

Rain dripped from his bangs into the pair of eyes on his face, and he went to wipe it off, but found that even his handkerchief was soaked. He sighed. “And t-to answer your other que-question, yes, I d-did... I didn’t ex-expect the weather t-to turn out th-the way it d-did, b-but who can ch-change the sky, eh?” Daranza DX laughed softly, wringing out his handkerchief. “...M-may I come in?”
