Bloodydamn Red Rising!

Returning to this site for the first time in almost 10 years for one thing and one thing only and I’m very happy to see I’m not alone in thinking Darrow and Cassius are GAY AS HELLLLLL

One thing I adore about Pierce Brown is he loves the women he writes. Every male author take notes.

I LOVE the Red Rising series. It's my favorite book series of all time. Many others in this fandom have read and recommended The Will of the Many and maaaaan it's just not doing it for me. I'm listening to the audiobook, I'm well over halfway done, and it's just not grabbing me. I don't care about the main characters, I'm not into the mystery, the world building isn't sucking me in. I bought it so I'll make myself finish it but boy, it's a slog.

A lot of books get mentioned as comparable to Red Rising and though a lot are good, I've yet to find anything nearly as perfect as the combination of Pierce's prose and storytelling. He's a hard act to follow.
