"That makes sense..." She nods in return.
"Okay. Let's do it. Want me to do the talking?" She asks quietly as she starts to turn her body in the direction they would need to walk.
She wouldn't be too anxious to ask, and she didn't mind.
"Oh yeah, of course. Of course. Parents should be you. Cashier can be me." She smiles pretty big and walks up to the counter. Her voice is very hopeful and cheery.
"Hi! I'm sorry to bother you, I was just wondering if we could use your phone? It will only be for a minute-" The man has a pretty blank expression as he points to a phone down the counter on the end. He is a bit heavy set, a pale round face and short curly hair, facial hair that has grown in patchy. He has a nametag that says 'TOM'
"Thank you sooo much, Tom!" She sounds relieved. Not pushing her luck or questioning it, Jessica walks down to take the phone off its cradle. She looks at Marian, ready to hand it over and if permitted, listen in.
