* This placed used to be quite loud, all things considered. Keyboards clicking alongside mouses, talking between enginners, doctors, lawyers. All the up-most of class would be here this hour of the evening. * But now, all is left is broken computers and shattered glass. Enough for some people to call it home, like this girl. And when I mean some, I mean some.
* Glass can be heard cracking, some potted plants falling over, heavy footsteps, boots that feel like they make the ground shake. * Someone else is passing by, now would anyone dare to investigate?
March's attention shifted, from the computer she was just on, to where she thought the noise came from. The civilian closed out of the computer, or really just closing out of the tabs and putting it to sleep. After hiding the light of the computer still mostly being on, she started to move. Her steps were close to quiet, but it was definitely the footsteps of someone who relied on the noise of a team to hide them, albeit by accident.
Her mouth stayed shut, trying her best to be silent as she retreated further into the building, or closer to the rundown basement. March knew better than to make noise when alone, even more when she didn't know what was with her in the building. And if it was a threat, she really didn't want to try to face it head-on. The heavy footsteps didn't drive her to believe it was someone she could fully believe was someone who she could trust yet. Despite most of the threats around here's footsteps being fairly light.
* The footsteps when quiet at the last click of the mouse, silence hanged, before getting crushed back by the sounds of haste. * It went around the corner, barely out of reach to catch the movement of the civilian, yet attention didn't even seem to be on her in the first place.
* Its arm slid through the table, keyboards getting knocked off by rough leather gloves, as the hand met the computer's metal. ''I heard that, ya' parasit'.'' * A course voice, throat strained from too much shouting, a sound painful, only bested by the sound of metal hitting the ground. Again and again, the monitor's metal was met with the weight of a military boot.
* Cracking its knuckles, it took a look around, other eye burned, so only one eye could see the variety of intact machinery. ''They did on' horrible jawb here.'' * By the sounds of it, intact machinery will be a word of the past if that situation is left alone.
March dived down the stairs, more of a dash from the top and hitting the other end of the opening and falling, but who was keeping count at this point. All that mattered to her was that she reached the basement. Not like she hadn't survived a fall before. March caught her landing, trying to not make much noise, but enough of a grace period was granted by the clattering of metal of where she once stood.
-- "...Just move... pain ain't mattering if you're alive." -- She muttered, words to hasten her movement. She moved over collapsed supports of the basement below. She needed somewhere to hide, maybe with a working computer, but she didn't have the time to check each one. Her eyes darted, before diving into an opening.
She grabbed and opened a laptop. She looked at it, for a few seconds, debating risk and reward. A chance at someone coming for rescue, but also giving away her position if someone was good enough at listening. She shut it off soon after.
* Well, something that can be said that it sure isn't Harken, because after multiple beeps, an explosion can be heard shaking the building, computer parts and ceramic. * Sadly for our Bungling Friend over here, one of the computers. . . Or whats left of it, decided to land right in front of the opening she is in. Or happily depending on perspective, serves as a little barrier that could muffle any sound or hide any light.
* A laugh can be heard from up top, a potato being ripped apart by its teeth, swalling the bitten remains. Speaking with a still full mouth. ''Now that's som' nasty fireworks, somethin' ya don't see everyday!'' * Well, the explosion wasn't enough to harm the cement of the headquarter's foundation, but that cubicle is not there anymore. Guess that's how new loops are made.
Static
* It can be heard grunting, a small click echoing soon after.
