what i love about jac schaeffer's shows is sometimes you put together the clues like agnes being agatha harkness, teen being billy, rio being death, lilia's "alice don't" + "try to save agatha" being the same message, and then the reveal/execution is still so damn satisfying. i guess because it feels earned instead of a cheap GOTCHA? idk. i am pleased (and deeply sad) (she loved being a witch! and what a witch she was!)
I am the traveler. I am the Queen of Cups.
she couldnt save her coven then, so she made sure her final act would be saving her coven now...lilia calderu you will ALWAYS be famous
that they originally assume the tarot trial is set up to tell billy how to live his life, and it turns out that actually it's about everyone understanding and valuing the incredible long brilliant wise tragic life lilia has already lived, including lilia herself-- !!!

i think the key difference between george lucas’s star wars and disney’s star wars is that lucas is a man with an ideology. someone with a point of view, and all that entails. which comes with ideas of revolution, anti-imperialism, challenging the status quo, cultural appropriation and racist stereotypes. complex and contradictory ideas because that’s how artists are: complex and complicated people. disney is not. disney is a corporation. a corporation can’t have ideology, because ideology defeats the purpose of profit. and when the only thing you do is to turn on the movie manufacturing machine before you sit down and plan what ideas are you trying to convey to the audience, then your results are going to be washed out corporate garbage. and because when you’re a giant corporation who only cares about selling to the widest audience possible, you can’t take sides. you can’t decide on an idea. because you want to sell your product to people who are on the entire political spectrum. which results in movies without ideology, without purpose, without soul.
I have been looking for this post for years after I came across it and it’s finally here and I need to reblog this because it is absolutely and entirely accurate.
"I've accepted my darkness What have you done with yours?"

“Omega,” Tech said, incessant. “Omega, you need to get up.”
Ugh.
“Go away,” she said, pulling the blanket over her head. Except there was no blanket. So she just kept laying where she was.
Tech was never one for sleeping in, a skill her other brothers had perfected during their retirement on Pabu. He probably wanted her help with the rusty old hoverbike out in the back shed. Or maybe he was finally planning to tackle the leaky old water cycler in the garden.
“I never lived in the cliff house with you,” Tech said, ever patient. “You moved into the cliff house on Pabu after Tantiss, after the Havoc was destroyed, remember? I need you to get up, Omega.”
It felt so nice to just. Keep her eyes closed. There was something cold and wet on her face, it would get in her eyes if she opened them.
“Omega!” Tech’s voice boomed through her aching head. “You must get up.”
There’s a pungent, stringent smell. She wrinkles her nose at it.
“It’s fuel,” Tech said, as patiently as he ever explained the Marauder’s specs or the science behind hyperspace travel. “Your fuselage has been compromised. I estimate you have approximately ninety to one hundred seconds before the fuel contacts the core reactor.”
She raised her head, groaning as the movement sent her into vertigo. She was lying on the floor of the cockpit, thrown away from the main console, which had crumpled in the crash like a tin can. A metal panel had landed across her legs, and she groaned as she pulled them out from under it. Stumbled toward the hatch, blinking blood from out of her eyes.
“Your comm, and your go bag,” Tech said. “You will need them. Hurry, Omega.”
She grabbed the bag and checked the comlink ,still attached to her wrist. She looked to the mess of the console for Tech’s glasses, where were they, probably somewhere in the wreck of the console, she couldn’t leave them-
“They’re in your go bag,” Tech said. “Don’t worry about them. I’m always with you, regardless. Speaking of go, you must be going-”
She jumped out of the hatch and ran, able to make it on the other side of a steep ridge before her ship blew. She gave it a moment of silence, wincing at the thought of the tirade she was going to get from her squad commander.
At least she’d be alive to hear it.
Had Tech been here? She’d dreamed of him, or she thought she had - could you dream while knocked unconcious?
He’d woken her up. They’d been in their creaky little house on the cliffside in Pabu, and he’d wanted her help with something.
Tech had never lived in that house, though. Never even got to see it.
She rummaged through the bag hanging from her side, panic rising until she finally found them - his glasses. She felt sure she’d left them on the top of her console as she usually did, but here they were.
I’m always with you, regardless.
She pressed them to her chest, briefly, then returned them to the bag and thought about her next move.
“We asked for a chance to defeat the Sith, and we failed."
This is what Kanan tells Ezra when Ezra asks why Yoda sent them to Malachor, and it haunts me. They asked for a chance, and Yoda gives them one, and they fail. And after that, as far as I can tell? Yoda writes them off. Yoda never appears to them after Malachor; Obi-Wan, when Ezra turns up on Tatooine, tells him "You're in the wrong place," refuses to help the Rebellion, and sends him home. All Yoda and Obi-Wan's eggs are in one basket, and that basket is labeled "Luke." Kanan and Ezra are on their own.
It would be so easy for them to give up. They're not the chosen ones; they failed their test. Who could blame them?
But they don't. Kanan works through his depression, Ezra comes back from the dark, and they keep fighting. It doesn't matter that they'll never defeat the Sith. It doesn't matter that the battles they fight are insignificant on the galaxy-wide scale, that no one really cares about Lothal except them and their friends. It doesn't matter that the structure of the Star Wars franchise means they'll never even be a footnote to history; by A New Hope, no one will remember them.
What matters is that the fight is worth fighting, so they're going to give it all they have.
This is why I love Rebels, and all the other bits of Star Wars sandwiched between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. We have lots of stories, as a culture, about people who vanquish evil; we don't have nearly as many that valorize people who fight battles they can't win. We watch these shows and play these games knowing that the protagonists won't defeat Vader or the Empire, knowing they're living in the wrong place and the wrong time, and we learn to care anyway. We learn that even impossible fights are worth fighting, that every skirmish matters even when they're not what wins the war.
We need more media like that. Because most of us are never going to be the ones who strike the final blow (if a final blow even exists) against climate change, or bigotry, or whatever battle we're fighting. And it is so easy to give up hope, and so important to remember that the struggle matters, even when you fail.

I’m laughing at the Acolyte bc it is a banging murder mystery with an element of middle management mismanagement. Bc honestly, Jedi killing Jedi seems like a top management issue…but also it makes the Jedi seem huge that this is an issue that doesn’t even have more than one person saying “we should take this to the top.”
Also makes me wonder the ending, do the Jedi cover up even more cover-ups? Because I definitely think a ton of Jedi are dying next week.
One speculation is that those umbramoths and maybe whatever else hellish nocturnal creatures are in the forest will interrupt the fight. So it's entirely possible that a ton of Jedi will die AND it's not even mainly from "Darth Teeth".
You could see how freaked out Qimir was about not reach Kelnacca before night. He was NOT okay with Mae taking a rest. I think he was counting on being able to take shelter in Kelnacca's abode.
Oh I for SURE think we’re going to see more of the Star Wars Giant Cicadas next week too.
I love your assessment of Qimir’s panic. He was definitely pushing the pace for a reason. Was it shelter or did he know Darth Teeth (if that’s not Qimir) waa going to be making an appearance??

Osha & Yord in The Acolyte 1x04 | Day
Listen, if Yord survives the season, I hope we learn more about his background. As a fellow rule follower who has learned to bend “rules,” I really hope we get more of Yord.
If he survives….
I couldn’t get this image from the last episode of TCW out of my head, so I had to draw it. I’ve loved their relationship from the moment Ahsoka made Rex laugh at Anakin with her snotty teenager attitude, and the way they came to rely on each other by the end of the series was both beautiful and heart breaking.
To see the full-res image, check my AO3.
Excuse me while I go cry some more over this scene. T__T
Does anyone have a recommendation for a cute fluffy (NSFW is also totes fine I’m a big girl) TechxPhee fic they’ve liked? I just need to escape into a mini world where they are safe and happy and making out 😭

i don't want these two characters to kiss per se. it is merely imperative they be handcuffed together and tossed into the wilderness to encounter great perils & tribulations (whilst chained to each other's side)
Is this a Leverage Post? Squints in Elliot and Hardison….
I hope every man involved in the making of star wars knows that carrie fisher was smarter and funnier than them
