You had just arrived at the station after spending the entire night reading reports when the prankster Chris was already making jokes and teasing you. You had told him hundreds of times, if he kept it up, one day you would end up shooting him in the leg. Although he didn't take you seriously, he thought you were joking. Sometimes you felt like he didn't know you at all despite working together for so many years.
"Why don't you wear the uniform more often? You're the only one it looks good on," Chris mocked, causing you to throw a pen at his face. "You can't be talked to in the mornings, (y/n). You're worse than an old lady, did you know that?"
"And you're worse than a pain in the ass, Redfield." You crossed your arms and took several breaths, debating whether to keep arguing with him or ignore him completely. "I still regret choosing the desk in front of yours."
"Ignore him, (y/n)." Jill always tried to calm you down whenever Chris was up to his antics, and you appreciated not being the only woman on the team. "I'm sure if we took him to a zoo, they'd mistake him for one of their monkeys."
Chris defended himself by showing your colleague his middle finger, to which Jill responded in kind. You rolled your eyes when the guy looked back at you and winked before continuing whatever he was doing before you arrived.
Chris liked you. That was a fact. He hadn't stopped asking you out since you joined the force and had never received a 'yes' from you; you weren't interested in dating, especially not with someone you would see practically every day all the time. Besides, Chris was far from your type. You saw him as boring, although that didn't mean you had never noticed him.
It was still early in the morning, and you decided it was the perfect time to go down to the first floor to relax for a while in the break room without having to listen to Chris, who still hadn't tired of annoying you. You weren't a pleasant person in the mornings, but you didn't do anything to hide it either. You almost hated being talked to, so it was expected that enduring someone joking from the moment you arrived until you left was not in your plans. At least not that day. You hadn't slept at all, you were tired, and you were only thinking about taking some well-deserved vacation.
"Where are you going?" Jill asked when she saw you get up and walk away without saying anything. "Don't abandon me with Chris, you can't do that to a friend."
That brought out the first smile of the day. "To the break room. I'm eager to get away from this idiot."
"Is today 'everyone hates Chris' day and nobody told me or what?" Redfield complained.
You decided to ignore his words and left the S.T.A.R.S. office, heading towards the first floor of the station. You were delayed on the way by chatting with some of the police officers you got along with; it was nice to be able to talk to someone without getting on your nerves.
You had just reached the main hall when you saw Chief Irons talking to Officer Branagh and a guy you hadn't seen before. You seemed to remember hearing something about someone new, but honestly, you were too focused on your own things to spend time finding out who that guy was. You waved to them when they noticed your presence, sure they were surprised to see you there. It was rare for the S.T.A.R.S. to roam around the station, but you loved doing it. You often walked through the long corridors and occasionally went up to the roof to clear your mind. It was too beautiful and interesting a place not to have explored it to the most hidden corners.
Fortunately, the break room was empty, and you could enjoy a cup of coffee in silence and solitude, your preferred way of having coffee. Maybe you were too solitary and independent, but that had saved you from more problems than it could have caused. You didn't mess with anyone, and no one messed with you; it was like the perfect balance for you.
When you were enjoying the delicious drink the most, the radio on your belt started making noise, which meant someone from your group was contacting you. You hoped it was something important until you heard Chris's voice on the other end.
"Aren't you tired of being an idiot?" You asked him in a bad mood, causing him to let out an annoying laugh. "I thought I made it clear I didn't want to be bothered. And that goes for you, Chris."
"I just wanted to know if you'd like some company down there. I swear I won't tease you anymore, you know I like it when you get angry."
"Not necessary. Really." You sighed. "I'll be back in less than fifteen minutes."
You didn't let your colleague finish talking before you disconnected the radio and put it back on your belt. It wasn't that you disliked Chris; on the contrary, you could consider him a very good friend, it was just that sometimes he drove you crazy. The worst part was that he enjoyed it, unfortunately knowing exactly how to annoy you and when to stop. Maybe that's why you got along well; although he could be a jerk sometimes, he knew when you were genuinely upset and always tried to fix it somehow.
You had finished your coffee and were about to get up to return to the office when you felt someone's hand on your shoulder. You turned your head to see who it was and smiled with relief when you saw Marvin's smiling face. He was a good guy, always willing to help everyone. You respected him much more than anyone else in the entire station. You realized he wasn't alone; he was accompanied by the same guy you had seen talking to him in the main hall. He had changed clothes and was now wearing the police uniform, confirming your suspicions: he was a rookie.
"Running away from your responsibilities, (y/n)?" Marvin laughed, taking a seat at the same table where you were sitting, followed by the rookie whom you could observe better. He was cute, seemed too young to be a police officer.
"Running away from Redfield." You continued his joke. "He still doesn't understand that I could kill him with one hand."
"He's in love with you. I think he sees you as a challenge." Marvin laughed again. "By the way, this is Leon. He starts today."
You stretched your arm across the table and shook the guy's hand. You both looked each other in the eyes; his were blue, very beautiful in your opinion. The guy, now known to you as Leon, smiled shyly. âNice to meet youâŠâ
â(y/n) (y/sn). Welcome to Raccoon City. Iâm sure youâll end up hating this place.â
Leonâs eyes widened at the last part of what you said. Marvin waved his hand dismissively to downplay your words and patted you on the shoulder. âDonât listen to her. Sheâs just having a bad day.â
You nodded and excused yourself to return to the office and continue with all the work you had ahead. For some reason you couldn't understand, Leon had caught your attention much more than you thought. There was something about him that made you want to get to know him better. But you decided to ignore your thoughts. Work was more important, and thatâs what you were going to focus on, work.
You decided it was the right time for one of your daily walks. You went up to the roof where you hoped to find a moment of relaxation in the sun.
You were quite surprised to see you wouldnât be alone. Leon, the rookie, was also up there, which surprised you but not in a bad way. On the contrary, this guy had given you good vibes from the start. Maybe this was the time to talk to him a bit more.
âIâm surprised to see you up here, rookie,â you smiled as you approached him. âCops usually donât come up here unless thereâs a breakdown.â
Leon returned your smile. âThey havenât stopped calling me that since I got here this morning. I guess thatâs what I have to look forward to.â
âThatâs right, youâll have to get used to it until they forget.â You got even closer and sat next to him on the pavement. You crossed your legs and pulled out a pack of cigarettes from one of your pants pockets. Leon also sat on the ground next to you, which initially surprised you, but his company wasnât unpleasant. âYou still havenât answered my question. Arenât you supposed to be getting familiar with the place?â
âThatâs what Iâm doing. I needed a break; itâs my first job after police academy, you know?â That caught your full attention. He seemed very young, but you didnât expect him to be that young. âAnd what are you doing here? I understand S.T.A.R.S. are always busy.â
âJust like you, I needed a break too. Donât think our job canât be boring, it is, a lot. I hate doing paperwork; Iâd love to disappear on days like this. If you keep coming here, youâll get used to seeing me.â
âI feel like Iâve stolen your relaxation spot.â The guy chuckled. âIâm sorry if thatâs the case.â
You turned your head to look at him and couldnât help but smile. You had to admit that the guy wasnât bad at all; you were starting to feel more attracted to him than you should. But the truth was that technically, you werenât coworkers, you just shared the place. You werenât really breaking your rule of not dating coworkers.
You continued the conversation as if neither of you had anything else to do. The more you talked with Leon, the more you realized how much you had in common.
You lost track of time and didnât know how long you had been up there when you were surprised by Chris, who evidently knew your habit of going up to the roof now and then and knew he could find you there. Your colleague approached you quickly, and both you and Leon jumped to your feet. The blond gave you a light squeeze on the arm to get your attention and leaned closer to whisper in your ear. âI better go now. He doesnât look friendly.â
âNo, thatâs his usual face when heâs not teasing everyone.â You crossed your arms, waiting for Chris to reach you. âHey, I was thinking of asking you if you want to go out for dinner tonight after work. I would have loved if someone had shown me around the city when I first arrived here.â
Leonâs face lit up at your suggestion. He smiled and nodded. âThat sounds great, (y/n).â
The guy left after giving you one last smile, leaving you alone with Chris, who was looking you up and down with an expression you couldnât decipher. He seemed a mix of angry and confused. You decided to ignore his presence and started walking toward the door, which prompted Redfield to grab your arm without force and pull you back to where you were.
âIâve been asking you out for years, and now suddenly this guy shows up, and youâre the one asking him out?â
âWhatâs the matter? Heâs cute.â You said just to tease Chris, it was your chance to get back at him. âBesides, Iâve told you a thousand times Iâd never go out with a coworker, and Leon isnât one.â
Chris looked you up and down again, frowning. He shook his head as if trying to shake off his thoughts, and his expression changed suddenly. âWe have things to do. We were just called; weâre leaving in ten minutes.â
âFinally, damn.â You smiled triumphantly.
Part of you had suggested that âdateâ to Leon just to annoy Chris and try to get him to understand that your relationship would never be more than that of simple friends, but another part of you was genuinely excited about going out with Leon that night. It was true what you had said; no one had extended a hand to you when you arrived in Raccoon City until you met Jill and Chris, and partly because of that, you also wanted to help him.
Even you were surprised at how quickly you had changed your mind about going out with a guy. If someone had told you that morning that you would end up going out to dinner with the new guy, you would have kicked them. You didnât know what it was about Leon that had caught your attention so much, but you knew it had been something instant, and all you wanted was to get to know him better.
Fortunately, you managed to get Leon's phone number before heading out on the mission you were assigned, allowing you to call him once you got home since you hadn't had the chance to see him again for the rest of the day. The guy had offered to pick you up in his car, to which you immediately agreed after looking out the window and seeing the sky had clouded over, making it only a matter of time before it started to rain.
You were lounging on the couch watching a TV show you loved when the doorbell started ringing. You jumped up and ran to open the door for Leon, who had been extremely punctual.
A smile spread across his face when you appeared before him, and you couldnât help but return the gesture. âWow, you look pretty good without the uniform, Leon.â
The guy burst out laughing at what you had just said. It took you a few seconds to process it, and then you also burst into laughter. âI didnât mean it that way, sorry.â
âI understood perfectly. I just wanted to see your face when you realized.â The young man smiled again. âI must say you look very good without the uniform too.â
âThank you, Kennedy.â
âWhere did you find out my last name? I donât remember telling you.â
âEveryone knows it already. In that damn station, there are no secrets, at least among those who work there. I canât speak for the bosses.â
âYouâre intriguing me with what you just said. I hope you want and can tell me more about it.â
You grabbed your purse and a jacket from the coat rack by the door and stepped out to join Leon again. âI will if you can convince me.â
âI accept the challenge.â Leon kissed me on the cheek as a greeting, and we both walked to his car. The guy was very courteous, opening the door for you. âMiss.â
âThank you very much, you are quite the gentleman.â You laughed, and Leon responded by winking at you.
You guided Leon all the way to the place you had chosen for dinner. It wasnât an elegant place by any means, but they made the best burgers in the city, and you had been wanting one for a while. Leon thought it was a great idea, and you were glad you made the right choice, although you were sure that even if he didnât like the place, he would say otherwise. He seemed like the type of guy who always wants to please a woman on a date, even if they were just friends, and you found that adorable.
Dinner went smoothly; you felt like you had known him all your life. It was very easy to talk to Leon; he listened attentively to every word and was interested in everything you told him. You confirmed once again that you had many common interests, and your personalities were very similar except that he seemed to be a bit more outgoing than you. At first, you were afraid everything would be a disaster and you wouldnât have anything to talk about outside of work, but it ended up being quite the opposite; you didnât stop talking the whole time.
After dinner, you went to your favorite bar where the conversation continued, now mixed with some alcohol, which made the words flow even more easily.
âSo, Leon, what brought you to a place like Raccoon City? You could have ended up somewhere much better than this.â
Leon took a sip of his drink and shrugged. âI was offered the job, and I accepted. I almost didnât accept, butâŠâ The young man paused for a moment before deciding to finish what he was saying. âWell, letâs just say a breakup is what made me end up here.â
âIâm sorry, Leon, I know how tough that can be. Something similar happened to me before I moved here, and I hadnât had a date with anyone since then.â
You instinctively placed a hand on his leg, and when you realized the gesture, you looked at Leon, expecting a negative reaction from him, but instead, he placed one of his hands on yours.
âWell, letâs toast to being heartbroken. Maybe itâs fate that I ended up here.â Leon raised his glass, and you did the same, and both of you toasted.
âTo Raccoon City?â
âNo, to being here with you tonight.â
For some reason, your cheeks turned even redder than they already were because of the alcohol. He had noticed it from the smile on his lips and the way he was looking at you. For a moment, you felt like a teenager who had just met a boy, but you weren't like that, at least you usually weren't with anyone. It was very difficult for someone to awaken in you a feeling beyond simple friendship.
You didn't know what it was about Leon that made you feel so good without knowing him at all.
You kept ordering drinks until the clock on the wall indicated that it was time to go home. As much as you were enjoying yourself, you both had to work the next day, and you had barely slept for days. Even though you weren't sleepy and your mind only wanted to stay there in that precise place, your body felt the accumulated fatigue.
"I think it's time to go home, Kennedy. We have to work tomorrow, and we wouldn't be serious agents if we showed up with a hangover," you teased.
"You're right. Although I could stay talking with you all night."
"I'm having too much fun," you confessed, influenced by the alcohol. "I didn't think I could connect so quickly with someone I just met. Not even with..."
"Chris?" Leon ventured to say. It was obvious that he had noticed something between Chris and me, but I was sure he had no idea what it really was. "I saw how he looked at us this morning when he came to pick you up.
And what Marvin said... Wow, that guy is drooling over you, (y/n)."
"I've always known he felt something for me.
He's asked me out several times, but l've never seen him that way. As much as it seems like I hate him, he's like a brother to me, just like Jill. They were the first to welcome me with open arms when I arrived. In fact, I'm looking forward to you meeting them, I'm sure you'll get along great, and they will with you."
"Well, my first impression of Chris was... intimidating.'"
You shrugged and sighed. "Yeah, well, that's how he is. I guess he'll have to get used to seeing me with you."
Leon's eyes widened, and again, that smile you were starting to like so much appeared on his lips. "Does that mean this isn't our first and last date?"
You turned red again and, without saying anything else, handed a bill to the bartender and nodded to Leon, indicating it was time to leave. The young man chuckled before getting off his stool and following you outside. Once you opened the door of the place, you both stood petrified, realizing the intense rain that had begun to fall. You had walked there, and Leon's car was far from where you were.
"What do we do now?" Leon asked, rubbing his hands due to the cold. "We could try to get to the car."
"Or we could go to my apartment. It's a few blocks from here, we'll get soaked either way, but at least we can wait there until it stops a bit, does that sound good?"
"Sounds great, at least I can spend a bit more time with you."
"I was just thinking the same thing."
You both looked into each other's eyes with a smile. Leon seemed about to get even closer to you when a car horn alerted you both. You had to squint to see who the idiot who interrupted you was.
"That's..."
"Fucking Chris," you complained, rolling your eyes. "I forgot he also comes here with his flings. Let's pretend we didn't see him, let's go, I don't want to witness one of his jealous scenes."
Leon nodded and did something you never would have expected from him: he put an arm around your shoulders, pulling you as close to his body as possible. You weren't sure if he was doing it to protect you from the cold or because he was sure Chris was watching. Either way, you loved it.
You walked to your apartment as quickly as you could, the rain soaking you from head to toe, and if it hadn't been for walking embraced with Leon the whole time, you would have been freezing. The boy hadn't wanted to let you go, even knowing he would end up wetter than you, which you found very sweet. You had to admit that Leon was quite the gentleman.
Once you could shelter in front of your building door, you separated from him to start looking for the keys at the bottom of your bag. Your hands were freezing, and you could barely move your fingers.
"Need help?" Leon asked as he grabbed both your hands. "God, you're freezing, (y/n). You need to get out of these clothes."
At that moment, you burst out laughing. Leon also started laughing and gave you a slight push. "Who's the dirty-minded one now?" he teased. "You know, I'm glad I met you. I didn't expect my first day of work to go this well."
You turned to look at him, completely ignoring the fact that you were still out in the cold. "I'm glad I met you too, Leon. Really, I didn't think connections like this existed."
"You feel it too, right? It's like l've known you forever." Leon was getting closer and closer, so much that you could almost feel his breath against your lips. "Now I do think it was fate..."
Leon's gaze settled on your mouth, and you could see him biting his lower lip. You were debating whether it would be right to do what you had been wanting to do all night, but fortunately for you, Leon didn't hesitate.
He grabbed you by the waist and kissed you fiercely. You ended up with your back against the wall and Leon's body completely pressed against yours. He grabbed you by the butt, lifting you off the ground so you could wrap your legs around his waist. His kisses moved from your lips to your neck, wet from the rain, though your clothes weren't the only thing that had gotten wet.
There were two options: stop the situation or let yourself go like never before. Of course, you chose the latter.
You managed to get Leon to release you again and opened the building door faster and more urgently than ever. You had just entered the elevator when Leon threw himself on you again. He pushed you until your back was pressed against the wall once more. He continued kissing your neck while holding your face with one of his strong hands. Leon had started to slip one of his hands inside your pants when the beep indicating you were already on your floor interrupted him, making him let out a long, exasperated sigh. You adjusted your clothes before the door opened, afraid someone might be waiting for the elevator and catch you.
Without saying a word, you grabbed Leon's hand and practically dragged him to your apartment door. You kept complaining while searching for the right key, and once you found it, you opened the door so quickly it banged against the wall with a loud noise, which you didn't care about.
"Let me show you my room." You smiled mischievously and kissed him again. "You're going to love it."
"I'm completely sure of that."
You led the boy to your room, closed the door, and threw yourself at him to kiss him again. He had already taken off his jacket but was still wearing a shirt that you quickly removed. You took a moment to admire his bare torso, finding him even more attractive like that, with wet hair and no shirt.
Leon also got rid of your shirt with a quick movement. He grabbed you by the waist and spun you around. You soon felt him kissing your bare back while his hands went straight to the zipper of your pants, which he lowered in one swift motion, and the garment quickly fell to the floor. You were only wearing a black thong underneath, which seemed to please him by the way he grabbed your waist again, this time to press your body against his. You could then feel the prominent bulge that had formed in his pants, and you couldnât help but reach behind your back to start caressing that area, making him let out a moan that made you even wetter.
You turned around and started kissing his neck, something he loved as well, and slowly you began moving down, leaving a trail of kisses on his chest until you reached his navel. You kneeled in front of him, your hands went straight to the button of his pants, which you managed to open before Leon grabbed your hands, stopping you.
"What are you doing?"
He didn't say anything, he just smiled and helped you stand up. You were about to ask him again why he had stopped you, but his lips on yours silenced you. Effortlessly, he lifted you off the ground and carried you to the bed where he laid you down on your back before climbing on top of you. His lips traveled from yours down to your bare breasts, he started licking one of your nipples while pinching the other with his fingers, you let out a plaintive moan that made him look up and then smile triumphantly. He was getting exactly what he wanted.
"I want you so much, I haven't stopped thinking about you for a single moment since I first saw you," Leon whispered to you. âYou're so fucking beautiful. I need you right now."
"I haven't stopped thinking about you either... Damn it, stop playing with me."
"Are you sure?" He said as he stood up and pulled down his pants.
You kneeled on the bed to be at the level of his lips and kissed him again. "Shut up and fuck me, Leon."
"Don't tell me twice. It was the only thing I wanted to hear."
You were the one who finished removing all his clothes, pants and underwear, finally revealing his hard member. Your hands went automatically to him and you started stroking him gently, Leon closed his eyes and tilted his head back while moaning. You had always loved pleasing men and it still fascinated you. You sped up your wrist movements, causing him much more pleasure.
"God, (y/n)" Leon moaned again. "If you keep this up, I don't know if I'll be able to hold on much longer..."
"Don't." You started kissing his neck. "We have all night."
"Exactly."
Leon smiled and gently pushed you back, making you fall on the mattress. "That's why I'm going to enjoy you for as long as I can."
He grabbed your underwear on both sides and pulled it down, sliding it off your legs and tossing it somewhere in the room. Leon leaned towards you to kiss you fiercely, his tongue entering your mouth while his hand slowly moved down your belly until reaching your center. He began stroking your lips with his fingers, and you saw him smile victoriously again.
"Are you already this wet?" he teased. "And I thought I was the desperate one."
He didn't give you time to respond before thrusting two fingers inside you roughly, making you let out a loud moan, not of pain, of course. Leon seemed to know exactly what to do and where to touch. And so he did. He began moving his fingers inside you while feeling your walls tightening around them, using his thumb to massage your clitoris in circles, all without stopping kissing you for a single moment.
"Leon..." You moaned as you gripped the sheets tightly. "...damn, don't stop."
"I love it when you say my name like that. I could get used to it."
He continued moving his fingers faster and faster until you felt a tingling sensation warning you that you were about to come.
And he knew it.
"Keep going, please." You begged. "Don't stop."
"Are you close, beautiful? Are you going to come?"
"Yes, damn it. Don't stop."
Then, Leon did exactly the opposite of what you asked. He pulled his fingers out of your wet hole, causing you to whimper, which seemed to amuse him. He didn't give you time to complain when, unexpectedly, he aligned himself with your entrance and thrust his considerable member inside without hesitation or giving you time to react. The moan you let out before paled in comparison to the one you just released. It had been so long since you last slept with someone that you almost forgot what it felt like, but now with Leon, you were sure it was the best sensation in the world.
"Much better, right?" Leon panted. "God, it feels so good."
"Damn!" You exclaimed as he quickened his thrusts.
You wrapped your legs around his waist, giving him the opportunity to go even deeper inside you. It was the best thing you could have done since that way he could hit your weakest spot. You felt the same tingling as before, you were very close, and judging by the expression on his face, he was too.
"I'm going to come, Leon," you warned between moans. "Damn, like that, keep going."
"Me too," he bit his lip. "Damn, (y/n), you're so tight."
Leon seemed to understand what you needed at that exact moment as he sped up his thrusts even more. The sound of his skin slapping against yours mixed with your moans and the headboard hitting the wall filled the room.
You couldn't hold back anymore. You were about to explode.
"Leon! God, I'm going to come!"
"Me too, baby! Damn it!"
At that moment, you let yourself go completely and reached ecstasy. You dug your nails into his sweaty back from the effort as your walls tightened hard around his member. Leon groaned but didn't stop until he also came inside you, accompanied by a guttural noise from deep in his throat.
It took a few seconds for both of you to catch your breath. Then Leon let himself fall beside you and quickly slid an arm under your neck, hugging you. You rested your head on his chest, listening to the rapid beats of his heart.
"I was going to say something but... I think I forgot how to talk..." Leon laughed as he still tried to catch his breath.
You laughed too upon hearing that. Everything had happened so fast that you didn't realize you had just slept with Leon until a few moments later. A mix of emotions had formed in your stomach, but fortunately, none of them were bad. You were happy, pleased to have had such a successful first date, but you also felt hopeful. Maybe everything that was happening wasn't just a coincidence.
"I'd like for this to happen again, you know?" You blurted out without thinking. "And I don't just mean sleeping together. I like being with you, Leon. I think you're the kind of person who brightens up your days."
"I feel the same way about you, (y/n)." Leon tucked a strand of hair behind your ear and gave you an adorable kiss on the forehead. âYou seem tougher than you really are."
"I'm not like this with practically anyone. You should feel lucky."
"Oh, believe me. I feel like the luckiest guy in the world right now." He pulled you onto his lap, kissed your lips, and started stroking your back. "Besides, I'm eager to show you again how much I like you. Though I recall you said that you needed to sleep."
"Sleep?" You laughed. "What's that?"
Leon let out a hearty laugh and kissed you again. "That's what I wanted to hear."

Synopsis: Reader is a secret agent working for the US government and has been sent to Spain to take care of Ashley (and Leon) before their comeback home.
CW: traumatized!Leon, interrupted smut, ashley being ashley
WC: 3.5k
masterlist / requests
You were sent to Spain by the government in order to keep an eye on Ashley after Leon rescued her from that village she was taken into. They were being attended by a doctor at that time while you waited for them. Your main labor was to take them to a hotel and stay the night before flying to your country the next morning. The president knew they were exhausted after what they went through and wanted her daughter to rest at least for a night before coming back home.
The first of them who came out the doctor's room was Ashley. You were as familiar to her as you were to Leon so you knew you could talk to her with confidence and naturally. However you didnât really needed to talk to them, once you saw their faces you instantly knew they had gone through a hell. The girl sat next to you and rested her head on your shoulder. She truly was devastated.
âWe'll be home soon, Ash. I promise. Your dad canât wait to see you.â You said trying to comfort her. You werenât really good with that, your specialty was being an agent not a psychologist. âI bet you and Leon must be starving. We could order some food once we're at the hotel.â
âI just want to sleep, (y/n). Iâve never felt this exhausted, it's like Iâve been awake for a whole year.â
âI know, girl. I know.â You caressed her cheek with the palm of your hand.
The same door Ashley came from opened wide hitting the wall behind it. That loud noise put you on alert so you got up from your seat almost taking your gun out. Your tensed muscles relaxed once you saw it was Leon the one who made you jump.
âLeon. You scared the shit out of me!â
He looked at you and left without saying any word. That wasnât something Leon would do, specially when it came about you. You two had been working together since the Racoon City incident when you both started working for the government. You wasnât there when Leon had to face all of those monsters but Umbrella had taken a lot from you too and that was something that united you in a very special way.
That behavior wasnât something normal on him.
âHe's not okay.â Ashleyâs voice sounded behind you. You were petrified and almost forgot about her presence. âHasnât said a word since we arrived here.â
You shook your head trying to downplay what just happened. Youâd have the opportunity to talk to him later.
An official car had been waiting for you three the whole time so once you left the hospital they took you instantly to the hotel you were staying the night. The orders youâd received were clear: not going out, not talking to anyone and just pretend to be simple tourists. You werenât worried about Ashley's ability to be discreet but Leon⊠He acted so weird it was almost as if he had the word strange written on his forehead.
You would share room with Ashley. She was the one to protect after all. However you couldnât manage to stop thinking about your colleague, he was the only thing you were worried about. The girl seemed to be fine, tired, but at least her behavior wasnât much different than usual.
What could have happened to Leon in that village that had him like that? You didnât know but planned to make him talk one way or another.
Once you could finally get into your room, Ashley went straight into her bed. Despite your efforts on making her eat something the poor girl was too tired so you decided not to insist more and let her sleep.
The president had booked one of the best rooms in the whole hotel for you three, it was big as hell, probably the best one you'd ever stayed in. It wasnât even dark outside, there were plenty of things you could do but werenât allowed to leave Ashley alone under any circumstances.
What you did first was taking a long and well deserved shower. Itâd been really stressful days, taking a flight from the US to Spain all of a sudden and then having to deal with two probably traumatized people was being harder than you thought. Leon hasnât stopped hanging around your head. Would he be okay staying the night alone? What if something happened and you couldnât be there to help? He was also a victim after all.
Once you got all dressed up again you tried to call his room with no success, he didnât respond. As if you were a teenager again you tried to listen something by pressing your ear against the wall your room and his shared, but again, nothing. It seemed as he wasnât even there but that couldnât be possible, Leon would never disobey an order. Maybe you were just overthinking and he was asleep like Ashley but something on your inside was telling you that he wasnât like the Leon you knew⊠and liked.
Trying to repress your feelings for him was being extremely difficult recently but you were too sure that mixing love and work together wasnât a good idea. At the end of the day he was the person you saw the most almost everyday, he was so charming and sweet with you itâd been so easy to fall in love with him. None of the people you had talked about it could judge you, Leon was the personification of the man of your dreams. That was probably the reason you cared that much about his wellbeing.
You tried to clear your mind by smoking a cigarette outside, at least the room had a wide balcony you could enjoy. It was quite freezing outside but you didnât mind, you kind of liked cold weather better than a hotter one.
âHey, you.â That familiar voice came from the balcony next to yours. You turned your head to find a smiling Leon looking at you. âHow many times do I have to tell you to quit smoking?â
âLook who learned how to talk.â You teased and came closer to him. âYou okay, Kennedy?â
âAlmost fell asleep on the shower but yeah⊠I'm fine I guessâŠâ Leon put a hand through his still wet hair. âHow is she?â He asked referring to Ashley.
âTired.â You took a look back just to check if Ashley was still sleeping, and she was. âI canât imagine what that girl has been through. Those motherfuckersâŠâ
Leonâs facial expression became dark as if he had just remembered something. In that moment the only thing you could think about was running up to him and give the boy a big hug. But you couldnât and it was killing you.
âLeon, hey.â You called him in an attempt to clear his thoughts. âYou know you can tell me anything you want. If you need to talk Iâm here for you too, not only Ashley.â
â(y/n) (y/sn) as thoughtful as always.â He kind of smiled. That made you feel better. âIâd love to have a talk with you. Maybe when we're back homeâŠâ
Again, his face changed from one moment to another and left without saying anything else. You were really hoping that heâd open up with you but Leon preferred to ignore you once again and just leave. Now you were even more worried than before.
âAsshole.â you said to yourself.
The day went on so slowly you got to the point of not knowing what to do. The girl was still sleeping and the room was in silence. You tried to watch something on your computer but the battery ended up dying and you had forgotten the charger. Leon came to your mind from time to time and you asked yourself questions like what would he be doing or if he was just okay. The thought of leaving Ashley for a second and going to his room came to your mind a few times but itâd be dangerous and if something happened to her youâd be directly responsible.
The only thing you had left to do was trying to sleep and just wait until you were home again.
However destiny seemed to have another plans. You were almost falling asleep when you saw a dark and tall figure through the window. Someone was standing on your balcony. The last thing you needed was alerting Ashley so you just got up from bed and ran to face with whoever had decided to sneak in your room.
You opened the glass door only to find yourself facing a seemingly disoriented Leon.
âI couldâve kill you, Leon!â you yelled at him and punched him on the chest with all your might. âWhat the fuck is wrong with you?!â
He bursted into a laugh and as if nothing happened caressed your checks with both his hands. You couldnât understand that behavior you just stepped away from him and crossed both arms over your chest. âHow the hell did you get in here?â
Leon turned around and pointed at the separation between his room and ours. âI just jumped the fence. I couldnât sleep.â
âAnd why didnât you call or maybe, I donât know, knock on the fucking door?!â
He laughed again. âSo cute when you get angry.â
âLeon.â you warned him.
âAlright. I didnât want to bother Ashley. She needs to rest.â
âAnd so do you. Youâve been acting so strangely and I understand what you two must have been through but⊠I donât know. You just canât do that, Leon.â
âDo what?â
âAct this way! Youâre not like this. Youâre stronger that me, mental and physically, what happened there that has you like this?â
Leon looked everywhere, as if he was expecting someone to be looking at us. He was being too paranoid so you tried to confort him by taking one of his hands. He shuddered when his skin came into contact with yours but that little smile that appeared on his lips told you that he actually liked it.
âWhy donât you just talk to me? We have plenty of time until we leave. I canât sleep either.â
âI want to talk to you butâŠâ Leon looked inside the room, probably checking on Ashley. âIn privateâ
âYou know I canât leave her alone. We can talk he-â
âNo!â Leon grabbed you by the arm almost hurting you. âI need to talk with you. In. Private.â
You shoved Leon and pointed at him with your finger. âTouch me like that again and Iâll beat the shit out of you. You understand? Be a brat if you want but not with me, Leo-â
Again he stopped you from talking but this time he did it differently. Leonâs hands got wrapped around your waist, he pulled you closer to him so he could find a way to kiss you on the lips. Your eyes got wide open with surprise but you didnât take long to reciprocate.
However and as much as you were liking the taste of Leon's lips against yours, he still owed you some answers.
âIf this was a way of trying to convince meâŠâ You laughed and so he did. âLet me tell you it worked.â
âIâve always wanted to do that.â Leon confessed.
As soon as those words left his mouth, you started feeling a thousand butterflies flying around your stomach. It happened to be a mutual interest after all. Youâd always dreamt about that moment, the one where you kissed Leon for the first time but you couldâve never imagined it would happen that way. Itâd been great, obviously, but also weird. He was acting so strangely and then he just kissed you which made the situation turn even more strange.
You really needed those answers. And fortunately you got them once you both entered Leon's room.
He told you everything about their âadventureâ sparing no detail. You got specially interested when he mentioned what happened with Krausser. That son of a bitch. He had taught you everything you knew about combat and being the agent you always wanted to be, you used to admire that man. But power and revenge could change everybody, youâd learned that over time.
âLeonâŠâ You sighed and grabbed his hand. âYou have no idea of how much I begged the president to let me go with you.â
That seemed to have caught him by surprise judging by how he was looking at me. âYou did?â
âYeah, of course I did. You know, we make a great team, Kennedy.â His lips curved into a smile. âI wish I couldâve done more for you two rather than just wait here until you come back.â
âThey donât value you enough, (y/n).â Leon pressed a sweet kiss on your knuckles. âBut I must admit that I wouldâve never wanted you to risk your life that much. I couldnât stop thinking about you while there, about how much I wanted to survive just to see you again and⊠I donât know⊠I just want you to know that Iâm sorry for the way I treated you today. I'm not okay.âl
âI can tell.â You pulled away a strap of hair from his beautiful face. Leon really looked really affected, his voice almost broke a few times while telling you about what he had seen, it was horrible seeing him like that. âI can only be grateful that youâre here with me in one piece. Weâll go through this, Leon. We're a team, right?â
His almost hypnotic blue eyes met yours, making you feel like a child again. You couldâve never understand what he had to have you like that, almost drooling every time his gaze and yours crossed. From the very beginning you felt a special connection between you two which grew immensely the longer you were together. You were so happy that he seemed to feel it too.
âI want to be more than thatâŠâ He looked down for a second but instantly met your eyes again. âIf you know what I mean.â
You understood everything. Just wanted to hear it from him. âExplain yourself.â
âShit, (y/n). I'm so fucking in love with you. I donât wanna be a team with you, I want to be with you. From the very first time my eyes fell on yours I knew you had to be mine.â
You just kissed him without hesitation after hearing all his confession. That kiss felt even better than the one he stole from you later, it felt more passionate and needy at the same time. His hands went from grabbing yours to grabbing you by that waist, almost seemed like he didnât want to let you go.
But lucky for him, you werenât going anywhere.
The atmosphere around you started to heat as you kept kissing him. From one moment to another you found yourself lying on the bed under Leon while he traced kisses all around your neck and chest. You moaned every time you felt his wet lips pressing onto your skin. Of all the times that youâd dreamed about that moment and it felt even better that you thought it would. Your mind was blank, everything that worried you before disappeared in the blink of an eye, just needed Leon the way you had him in that exact moment.
Leon got rid of his shirt, leaving you speechless at the sight of his perfectly muscled and bruised body. You could get used to see that every day and never getting bored of it. To your eyes, he was like a greek god. Something on your inside was still telling that all that situation was just a dream.
But it wasnât. It was as real as your feelings for him.
You started lifting your shirt but got stopped by Leonâs strong grip. He looked at you with desire and a little smirk drawn on his lips.
âLet me help you. What a gentleman would I be if I didnât help a lady like you?â
âI can be more than a lady, Leon.â you smirked. His eyes brightened at the sound of what you just said.
âCanât wait until you show me.â He said in a husky voice.
In the blink of an eye you both were naked and exploring each other bodies with all your senses. It felt so good you wanted it to never end. Leon had all his weight on you but you managed to push him to the side of the bed and didnât have to think twice when you sat on top of him. His hands quickly traveled from your waist to your tits, giving them a firm squeeze and then pinched both your nipples with his fingers making you feel a chill up your spine.
âFuck!â He groaned. âI want you so badly, (y/n).â
You leaned down to kiss Leon what he took as an opportunity to line his cock up with your wet entrance. You didnât even have time to say anything when he was already inside of you, making you feel something youâd never experienced before. He was huge but it didnât hurt, on the contrary you loved the feeling.
âYouâre so tight, shit (y/n).â Leon moaned as you started moving your hips around his rock hard member. âI shouldâve kissed you before.â
That made you chuckle. âYou like it, Leon?â
âFuck, donât say my name like thatâŠâ Leonâs hands were wrapped around your hips effortlessly, he looked like he was trying to control your movements but you werenât letting him do that at all. âIf you donât stop⊠shit (y/n)⊠youâll find out.â
Leon sat up now facing you and without letting his grab on you go he started moving his hips. He has just taken the lead and you couldnât do anything but enjoy it. His lips captured yours on a wet and passionate kiss, your arms were wrapped around his neck while he fucked you as hard as that position allowed him to. All that could be hear inside the room were the sound of his skin thrusting against yours and your desperate moans of pleasure.
âFuck, Leon! Keep going, please.â Your forehead was resting against his so you could see how satisfied he looked.
However and as much as you hated it, things never turned it the way you expected. Despite the bubble you and Leon were in, completely unaware of your surroundings, you still had ears and you both could hear that heartbreaking cry coming from the room next to yours.
âAshley!â you both screamed at the same time.
It took you less that five seconds to get you up from bed and getting dressed again. Leon followed you and as quick as you could you ran to the balcony where, as the trained agent you were, you jumped the fence and opened the door you had luckily left open before.
Leon entered the room seconds after you did and he automatically started checking every part of the room. You had found Ashley sitting on bed, the expression on her face showed fear and desperation. You couldnât help but feel bad for leaving her alone.
âAsh, whatâs wrong?â You took a sit next to her and hugged the girl. âYou had a nightmare?â
Ashley nodded in response. Leon appeared, gun in hand, and crouched in front of you. âAll clear in here. It was just a bad dream, Ashley. Youâre safe now, we promise.â He looked at you and smiled.
âI'm sorry I disturbed you, guys.â
âDonât worry. It was my fault, I shouldnât have let you alone in here. We wereâŠâ Leon's face turned red and looked at you fearing what excuse you were about to use. âWe were talking about work, none of us could sleep.â
âIt was my fault already.â Leon said. âI wasnât feeling okay and needed to talk.â
âI'm sorry, guys, seriously. But thanks for helping me.â
âThatâs what weâre here for, Ash.â Leon comforted her. âWeâll wait here until you fall asleep again if you want.â
How could he be so fucking sexy even when trying to be sweet? Maybe you were still excited because of what was happening between you minutes later.
Ashley agreed on Leonâs proposal and she went back on bed. We, on the other hand, went outside where the girl couldnât hear or see us.
Leon hugged you tightly as soon as he checked everything was under control. âThatâs not how I expected our first time to be but I was really enjoying it.â
You couldnât help but laugh. âIâm starting to think that you attract chaos, Kennedy.â
âI started thinking that a few years ago.â He chuckled. âDonât worry, weâll have plenty of time once weâre back home. I canât wait until I hear you calling my name desperately again.â
âWhat name? Leon Stupid Kennedy?â
âKeep going and youâll see what Iâm capable of.â
âLook, Iâm terrified.â You teased him. âI just want you to promise one little thing.â
âAnd what is that?â
âJust⊠donât die, okay?â
Leon laughed again and grabbed your face between his strong hands. âI wonât, (y/n). Not now that I have someone to live for.â

âYouâre not going anywhere! I swear if you walk through that door Iâll make sure youâre never getting back inside this house again!â
Arthurâs excessive yelling could be heard even from the outside of the house your family and you lived in. By that time, Tommy might be outside waiting for you. Due to his recent meeting with that Jewish man in Camden Town and as a result of the agreement they now had, your brother would send some men to work for Alfie Solomons. Theyâd be distilling alcohol illegally while posing as bakers. Despite having set Billy Kitchen as the head of the brigade, Tommy still wanted a Shelby to be near Solomons in order to control everything he couldnât see.
You werenât just a Shelby, you were part of the Peaky Blinders. People used to look confused at you, a woman wearing pants wasnât something they were used to see but you felt more comfortable that way and it had became kind of your sign of identity. You always had a gun with you and were as respected as your brothers were. Unlike Ada, you had always followed your familiarâs path. That was the reason Tommy trusted you enough to leave you all alone in a place like Camden Town and being surrounded by Alfie and his people. Also, he wanted you to have an eye on Ada since what happened with those Sabiniâs men. Ada would never think youâd ever spy on her so itâd make things easier for you in order to keep her safe.
With regards to Arthur, he didnât want you to leave Birmingham. You had had several arguments with him the few past days since Tommy told you about his intentions of sending you to London. He had never been too happy with the idea of you becoming a peaky blinder however Arthur thought that was the last straw.
15 and 43 but with Tommy Conlon. Just the idea of him trying to be hard on the outside but when sheâs near him he just canât hold back falling in love all over again.

You couldn't believe what your brother had just told you. Tommy Conlon was back in town, he had seen him sitting on his old house entrance stairs while driving home. It had been so many years since you hadn't seen him that knowing he was back felt almost like one of those dreams you'd had repeatedly since he left with his mother. Your brother had known Tommy and his brother, Brendan since they were kids, their relationship had always been great and that was he reason you got to know Tommy. It all started so innocently, you were just two kids who had fallen in love for the first time. You remembered it as the best time of your life but also, the saddest since he disappeared from one day to another without even saying goodbye. You had known anything about him for the past years, neither about Brendan, their relationship with their father wasnât the best, that was a fact. You had been working as a waiter at a diner for a while now and Paddy Conlon was a regular customer, you always chatted everytime he was there but never had been able to ask him whether he knew anything about Tommy.
A few day had passed since you knew about Tommyâs comeback and had seriously thought about visiting him at Paddyâs house but never were brave enough to do it. It was early in the morning and you had woke up in order to go for a run as you had been doing lately, it made you feel better before going to work. As usual, you ran around your neighbourhood for almost an hour right after going back home to take a shower and get dressed up for work. Your brother had just woken up when you arrived from your run, he was on the kitchen, helping your mom with breakfast. They both greeted you as you walked towards them.
"How are you feeling today, sweetie?" Your mom asked you while placing a plate in front of you. "Looks like someone couldn't sleep last night."
She was completely right. You hadn't stopped moving around your bedroom the night before, you even had to go out to the garden a few times in order to get some fresh air. You've had a really strange dream involving Tommy. You couldn't really remember most of it but it made you feel way too anxious and that just increased your want to see him again already. "I had a bad dream. I can't stop thinking about visiting Tommy but I'm not really prepared to front it. What if he's not like I remember?"
Your brother sighed heavily. He knew better than anybody else who you'd felt when Tommy left. "Don't do anything you're not ready for. Trust me, sissy. I don't wanna see you hurted again, alright?" He kissed you on the cheek and took a sit next to you.
Right after finishing your breakfast, you went upstairs and took a quick shower since you were already late for work. Tommy hadn't left your mind not even for a second. You'd been wondering about how he might look like now, how much he might have changed. You knew you were different from how you used to be but you didn't feel as if that was something negative however you hated to think about Tommy looking like a completely stranger to you. When you were young, he was the sweetest person you'd ever met. He had been your first on everything and that's something you'd never regret. The last time you'd seen him you had told Tommy that you loved him but never recieved an answer. He never said he loved you back.
You had to change your mind and start thinking about something else since you didn't want to start crying, you were better than that. He was past even though his comeback had awoken feels you thought dead.
That day, the diner you worked in wasn't too busy which gave you some time to look for new job offers on the newspaper. Your job wasn't that bad but the money you gained wasn't enough to help your mother with the house and all the bills you had to pay every single month. Since your father's death, your brother and you had to learn how to manage to make ends meet with both of your salaries. Your mother went into a depression she had never been recovered from, she always said how good she was feeling but you all knew she was just trying to help.
A well known voice took you out of your own thoughts, thankfully. Once you raised your sight, you saw Paddy smiling at you. "Good morning, Mr. Conlon. Sorry, take a sit and I'll attend you in a moment." He did a gesture with his hand you didn't really understand.Â
"I'm not staying. Just wanted to tell you something."
That caught all of your attention. Due the lack of work you had, you decided to leave everything you were doing and walk from the inside of the barstool and meet Paddy. "It's about Tommy. I don't know if you know it but he's back and thought you might want to see him maybe."
You raised an eyebrow. "I knew he was back. Have thought about visiting him but -- I don't know. It's been such a long time."
"I know. But I've caught him seeing some old pictures I kept on his old bedroom. I've started training him again and -- Maybe if he sees youâŠ"
Somehow you understood where he was trying to get. However you weren't really sure if that'd the best idea. "I don't know, Mr. Conlon. I wouldn't mind seeing him but as I said it's been a while now." By the way his facial expression changed you knew that wasn't the answer he was expecting. "Do you know where I could find him anyway?"
"He's outside. Told him I was buying a coffee."
Your heartbeat started to raise as you looked over Paddy's shoulder to check if what he had just said was true. It was. Tommy was outside, leaning against one of the windows, you could only see his back but you knew it was him. "Mr. Conlon I --"
"Come on. It'd be just a moment. Please."
You took a deep sigh. "Alright. Let me tell my boss I'm taking a break."
Paddy nodded in response. "I'd be waiting outside." You also nodded and went back inside the barstool in order to look for your boss who worked on the kitchen. You told him you'd be outside for over five minutes which he accepted. You couldn't believe you were about to see Tommy, specially when he was about to see the worst version of yourself. All covered on sweat and wearing the worst clothes you had.
When you opened the door, Paddy smiled and made a gesture with his head. "Look, here she is."
Then, Tommy turned to look at you. He wasn't looking as you remembered. He was all grown up and heavily muscled. He was wearing a grey hoodie and sweatpants, as always, you thought. Tommy's expression changed from indifference to amusement. If he had seen you walking through a street he couldn't have recognised you. Your body and features were so different from what he could remember, however he thought you looked as beautiful as always.
"I'd be inside." Paddy commented right before leaving the two of you alone.
You didn't know what to say and neither Tommy did. However he was the first on breaking the silence. "You look incredible. Years have treated you really well." He slided both of his hands inside his hoodie's pockets. "So you're working here?"
"Yeah. Youâve missed a lot.â Silence fell between the two of you, not knowing what to say or do. âYour father said youâre training again. Iâm glad to hear that -- and to know that youâre back. My brother gave me the news, Iâve been wanting to see you but I didnât really think you wanted me to.â
âWhy would you think that? Look at you, I mean -- shit, youâre gorgeous.â
Those words coming out of his mouth made you smile causing him to do the same. âIâm sorry you havenât know anything about me, (y/n). What we had was incredible.â
âIt was yeah.â You mumbled while looking inside the local. Your boss was looking at you, making gestures with his hands for you to get back inside. âApparently, duty calls now, Tommy. Iâm glad that I could finally see you.â
You were about to open the door but his hand stopped you. You turned around to look at his beautiful blue eyes. âWhen does your shift ends? I was thinking that maybe I could pick you up and maybe -- I donât know, go for a walk or something?â
Did you just have heard right? He wanted to pick you up from work.Â
âWell, it ends at 8 in the afternoon. If you have no other plans, yeah, Iâll be right here.â
He smiled. âGreat. Iâll be here at 8 then.â
Without saying anything else, you went back inside to check what your boss wanted you to do. Paddy, who was having a coffee asked you how everything had gone. You didnât know how to define it but if something was clear was that you really wanted your shift to be finally done in order to see Tommy again.
The day passed by so slowly you had to check your watch so many times to realise it was working properly. Your brother had called to ask whether you were going home for dinner or not so you took the chance to tell him about what had happened. He felt happy for both of you but also took his time to warn and remind you about what you went through when he left. At the end of the day, you were just a kid whose heart had been broken for the first time, but now you were an adult and knew what you wanted.
Tommy was already waiting for you outside the place even before your shift had officially ended, however you decided to ask your boss for another favour and told him if you could leave earlier that day. He accepted with the condition you opened the diner next morning. You practically ran outside to meet Tommy, who greeted you with a big smile. âYou missed me?â
He chuckled. âYou donât know how much. Come on. Letâs find a nice place to sit and talk.â
So you did, you walked for a while until you found yourselves in a quiet park you two used to visit when you were younger. Tommy took a sit in one of the wood benches and so you did. It was nice being there with him again, it brought you so many good memories.
âRemember what happened here?â Tommy ventured to ask. Of course you remembered, your first kiss. âI kissed you for the first time right there.â He pointed to one of the empty benches.Â
âI donât remember it that way. I think I was the one who kissed you, Tommy. You were too shy to do it.â
He smiled, thinking about that moment, how he had felt. âYou know what? Iâve been thinking about going to your place a few times since Iâm here. Thought you might not want to see me after all this time so thatâs why I didnât do anything.â You turned your head to look at him. âI talked with your brother the night I came back but I told him not to tell you I knew all youâve gone through. Iâm so sorry about your father, (y/n). He was a good man.â
You put your hand over his leg unconsciously but he didnât matter. âItâs okay. Guess Iâve been a coward too since Iâve been dying to see you but had to wait until your father brought us together.â
He let out a chuckle. âFor one thing he has done right.â Tommy put his hand over yours. âI found it impossible to be hard on the outside when I saw you. All beautiful and grown up. You just -- You make me want to learn how to love again.â
His hand travelled from your hand to your cheek. âIâve been waiting for this moment. To be with you again.â
âYou waited?â
âOf course I did. We were kids, I know but what I felt for you wasnât something I thought Iâd ever feel. You made me so happy, made me forget what was happening at home that time. I loved you so much. And I still do, believe me or not.â
Then. In that exact moment, you knew your heart still belonged to Tommy Conlon and it was the main reason you had never been able to date anyone else.
âYou said it. You finally said it, Tommy.â He didnât understand. âThe last time I saw you I said I loved you but you never said it back.â
âThere are so many things I hadnât done.â Tommy sighed. You didnât think it twice and wrapped your arms around his neck, hugging so tight he had to take a second to assimilate what was happening right before pressing you harder against him. âYou smell so good, baby. That never changes.â
âPlease, donât leave me again now that I have you back, Tommy.â That broke his heart and made him hug you tighter. âPromise me.â
âI wouldnât forgive myself if I did that. Youâve got me, I swear.â

With regards to Arthur, he didnât want you to leave Birmingham. You had had several arguments with him the few past days since Tommy told you about his intentions of sending you to London. He had never been too happy with the idea of you becoming a peaky blinder however Arthur thought that was the last straw.
âListen, Arthur! Iâm not a child anymore, whether you like it or not!â You yelled at your brother while walking towards the door completely ignoring his warnings. âAnd Iâm not doing everything you want me to do neither! So now, fuck off âcause Iâm leaving.â
Arthur kept yelling and warning you not to get out, however you did it and closed the door with a slam. Tommy was right there in front of you resting his back against the family car, probably listening to your argument just like half of the street. Your brother smiled at you and made a gesture with his head, pointing you to get inside the car.
âHow long has he been yelling at you?â Tommy asked with a laugh. You looked at your brother, raising both eyebrows. It wasnât funny to you, the only thing you hated about Arthur was the fact he thought you were still a six-year-old girl who didnât know anything about real life. When your brothers were in France, you had to learn how to deal with real problems. Along Polly and Ada, you were the ones who ran the family business and it was completely clear that you needed no man to do it properly. âIâm sorry. I know it piss you off when he treats you that way.â
âHeâs not the only one though.â You crossed your arms over your chest once you took sit next to Tommy on the inside of the car. It wouldnât be a really long trip however youâd have preferred travelling by train. âIn my opinion, youâre the only member of the family who take me seriously.â You pulled a cigarettes pack out from your pocket and took one from the inside. âWait until a shot them in their fuckinâ asses. Theyâll learn who (y/n) Shelby is.â
Tommy let out a laugh. âI trust you and that should be enough, eh? Who am I sending to have an eye on Solomons? Not Arthur, not John but you.â
Your brotherâs words made you smile a bit. He was, in part, right. Knowing your older brothers the way you knew them made you think about all the possibilities thereâd be that they started a war if Tommy send them to London. Unlike them, you knew how to treat and deal with people, you usually preferred talking before shooting, but that didnât mean you wouldnât pull the trigger if you had to.Â
With a match, you lit the cigarette you had previously placed between your lips. After the first drag, Tommy took it from between your fingers and without stop looking at the road he took a puff from it and gave it back to you.
Most of the time while being inside the car, Tommy tried to make sure you were completely aware of the dangers youâd be exposed to. Explained at least three times what had happened in every single meeting heâd had with Alfie and what their deal entailed. You knew about it all. The war between the Jewish and the Italians, and how the Jewish were the ones losing it. From what Tommy had said, you assumed Alfie Solomons wasnât the type of person youâd like to make business with. Nevertheless, it wouldnât be a challenge to you, having an eye on everything he did sounded easy, you just had to find a way of becoming closer with that man.
After a few stops and what seemed a really long distance to you, you finally found yourselves in London. Tommy said heâd leave you at Adaâs new house, where youâd be staying in, and then heâd return back to Birmingham. He had things to do and you already knew what to do pretty well.
So as he had said, Tommy parked the car and waited until you got out and took all your stuff. âBe careful. You know what to do and keep me posted. Iâll be back in a few days to check everythingâs working as planned. Alright?â
âYou have nothing to worry about. Iâll leave my things inside the house and I might head to the bakery and introduce me to Solomons.â By the way Tommyâs expression changed you were quick enough to react. âDonât say anything. He wonât know Iâm here to check up on him.â
âDonât do any stupidity.â He warned you causing you to smile innocently and nod. âIâm serious. Iâm trusting you.â
You approached him and kissed Tommy on the cheek. âYou got my word.â
Tommy was still uncertain about what would happen but he truly trusted you and it was enough for you. After he had left, Ada received you with a tight hug. You really missed spending more time with your sister and thatâd be the perfect opportunity of becoming closer with her again.
âHow is that they let you come here? I thought you would never be able to leave Birmingham.â Ada chuckled while she helped you unpacking your clothes and putting them inside a dresser in your room. The house Tommy had bought her seemed huge to you. It was definitely a house youâd like to live in.
âThey didnât have to let me do anything. Iâm not of their property.â Ada looked at you, eyebrow raised. âI had an argument with Arthur this morning. Well, Iâve been discussing with him for the past days. The last thing I told him was to fuck off.â Your sister let out a laugh. âI love him but -- You know, itâs Arthur.â
âWhat will you do now? I was thinking that maybe we could go downstairs and have a drink. Karl might want to spend some time with his aunt.â
You smiled. Karl, your nephew. Youâd love to spend some time with him but business were before. âWe might after I come back later. I have something to do before.â
âWhere? If I can ask.â
âCamden Town.â
Camden Town.
You arrived at Solomonsâ bakery, which looked more like a warehouse. On your way there, you had caught some people staring at you probably because of the fact you were wearing trousers. If Small Heath people seemed to be confused you couldnât imagine what London people might think. You had taken the last drag of a cigarette right before dropping it to the floor and stepping on it.
Once inside the bakery, you were first received by a young man who stopped you from going further than the entry.
âExcuse me.â The young man said, positioning himself in front of you so you couldnât see anything on the inside. âYou shouldnât be here, miss.â
You let out a laugh. âIâm not a miss. I was looking for Alfie Solomons. My nameâs (y/n) Shelby.â
He seemed to have recognized your last name and without saying a word he turned on his back and started walking forward. Now you were able to see the bakery, lots of barrels were surrounding you and, fortunately, you saw a few familiar faces. Billy Kitchenâs among them. Billy was at the end of that big hall talking with a man you couldnât tell who he was. He had seen you and seemed to be as confused as the young man were when you entered the place. Billy walked towards you and greeted you with a handshake. âCanât tell if Iâm happy to see you here. Is everything alright at home?â
âYeah, all fine, Billy. Iâm here just to have a look on what is Tommy up to. What about you? Iâve heard youâre now the head baker. What an achievement, eh?â
Billy were interrupted by a husky voice coming from behind him. The man turned to face the young man who had received you and right next to him was the person you were there for. Finally, Alfie Solomons.
âWhy arenât you working?â Alfie practically yelled at Billy who just apologised and ran away from there. Right then, the jew's sight was all over you. âSo this is the Shelby you mentioned.â He talked to his companion. âWhy isnât Tommy here?â
âIâm not here to discuss business, Mr. Solomons. Just wanted to have a look on this place and check if our people is doing right. Does that sound strange to you?â
Alfie seemed to be analysing you with his eyes. He scratched his long beard and tilted his head a bit. âI think not. Come with me then, Shelby girl. Letâs have a talk on my office, eh?â
Before heading to his office, Alfie took his time on showing you his distillery. As you could see there wasnât anything strange at first glance, everyone seemed to be working right. âHow are our people behaving?â You ventured to ask. âI have heard you gave them a really⊠encouraging speech on their first day.â
Alfie, who was walking ahead of you turned his head back a little bit to look at you. âYou have heard it fuckinâ right, love.â You were now in front of his officeâs door which Alfie opened and made you a sign to come in before him. âLadies first.â
You walked inside the room and took a sit in front of a big wood desk. Alfie followed you before telling the man, whose name seemed to be Ollie, not to disturb him while he was talking with you. The jew took a sit on his chair, right in front of you. Elbows on the table, Alfie was again trying to analyze you. âWhy are you here again? Did your brother send you for any reason?â
You had just taken a cigarette out of the pack and lit it with a match. âMay I smoke?â
âAlready doinâ, love.â
âNo one sends me here, Mr. Solomons. Itâs that Iâve heard so much about the great Alfie Solomons that I needed to check if it was right what they said about you.â That seemed to have caught Alfieâs attention by the way he wide opened his eyes. âHowever, I always like to make sure my people are right, no matter what my brother says.â
Alfie stretched his body after leaning back on the back of his chair. âOf all the things that I expected from your family, getting to fuckin' know you existed wasnât one of them.â You could see he was kind of smiling. âDidnât know a woman could look that good on pants, love.â
You smiled while taking one last puff of your cigarette. âIâm not just a woman, Mr. Solomons.â
âAlfie will go, love. What was your name again?â
â(y/n), but you can call me however you prefer to.â He was interested on you, it was pretty obvious. âYou know, Alfie, Iâm spending some time in the city and I was wondering if I could come here more often. All this bakery business strikes me.â The jew had just taken a rum bottle from a drawer on his desk and poured two glasses of it. Alfie offered you one of them which you gladly took. âWhat do you say? Tommy shouldnât know anything about it, innit?â
Your eyes and Alfieâs met, you couldnât have tell who handsome he already were. All that âseductionâ thing was a way of gaining his trust but at the same time you wouldnât mind to really flirt with him. So neither he was despite who you were. Maybe thatâd be the only real thing Tommy shouldnât know.
âI donât see any problem with that, love.â Alfie interlocked his fingers. âSo what are you like your family's renegade?â
âCall it what you want. But thatâs true. Unlike them I prefer to negotiate with people.â You had just stood up and started walking around his office, checking on everything.
âAre you now trying to negotiate with me, love?â Alfie inquired while also standing up and following you. You found Alfie being way too close to you, your back was almost being pressed against his chest and you could feel his warm breath against your neckâs skin. âCause youâre about to fuckin' convince me to let you be here as many time as you want.â
âAm I? Then I must be really convingc speaker, eh?â
âItâs not your way of speaking whatâs convincing me.â Alfie finally pressed his body against yours. âI wouldnât mind seeing that ass of yours everyday, love.â
âIs that a yes?â
âYou must work harder to make me agree on letting you be here.â In that moment you felt something pressed against your back and the unmistakable sound of a gun when being charged. âWhy is that I donât believe you, pet?â
Alfie was pointing at you with a gun, that was a fact and you wouldnât think twice if you had to be quicker and shoot him but, as always, talking was your first option. âWhy would I be lying? As far as I know you and my brother had a deal, would it be bad if he had send someone to have an eye on you.â
âYou fuckinâ gypsies canât be trusted, eh?â He was talking right next to your ear.
âWell, thatâs your fucking problem, Alfie. Youâre the one pointing to an innocent woman, whose intentions are good, with a gun. Who can be trusted now? You didnât even give me an opportunity.â
His laugh flooded the room. âAn opportunity? Why would you want a fuckinâ opportunity, love?â
âStop pointing at me with that gun and Iâll tell you.â
Alfie hesitated at first but ended up doing what you said. He placed the gun back inside his desk drawer and took sit on his chair. âIâm listening. Now convince me not to shoot you and that youâre not here by choice.â
You took a second to catch your breath, you werenât really used to be pointed at with guns. âThat was rude on your part, Alfred.â
âIâm waiting for a explanation, love.â
And that way. The most unexpected and surreal way, you didn't just convince Alfie Solomons, you made him be interested on you.
You hadnât gained his trust yet but, as he had said himself, he wouldnât mind seeing your ass around the bakery everyday.

Someone important once told me that that love and hate are so close to one another, sometimes we cannot tell them apart. These are some prompts that walk that gray line in between.
(All prompts are subject to little changes in pronouns to fit the story)
"You are the best thing to ever walk into my life"
"You're an asshole" "How else would you recognize me?"
"Stay there, I'll pick you up."
"You don't have to ask."
I wasn't brave until I met you
I will love you like the sea loves the moon.
I told the stars about you.
I want you to have a happy ending.
"I can't promise to fix all your problems but I promise you won't have to face them alone."
"If you tease me, I'm not responsible for what happens next."
"When I first met you, I didn't think you'd be this important to me."
"It reminded me of you."
"You broke my heart, babe." "Well don't forget that you broke mine first, asshole."
"If it's you, it's okay."
"You make me want to learn how to love again."
"What's your problem?" "You."
"Well, I learned from the best."
"I don't care what life I live, as long as it's with you."
Your kisses make it feel like the whole world turned upside down and, finally, I am standing on my own two feet.
I only knew calmness after I met you.
"Don't apologize."
I don't know who I am without you by my side.
"All you wanted was something like love. To feel as if you were in love without letting yourself open up. You wanted the impossible."
"I dream about you."
You make my believe in fate.
How do you admit you've fallen out of love?
I wouldn't waste my time on you if I thought you weren't worth it.
"Oh...fuck you!" "Go ahead"
How is it possible to miss someone standing right in front of you?
There are no shortcuts to love.
Your silence was so loud I thought I was going deaf.
You have the capability to ruin me and I have the capability to let you; it is so much easier to hurt than to admit that I let this happen.
To be awake while dreaming is a wonderful thing.
You make me think I've never been truly in love before.
Kissing you is like the icing on the cake or the period at the end of a paragraph. Suddenly, everything ends with you.
"I loved you." "Past tense?" "Yeah."
You are my last memory, everything without you is just a moment.
They were Romeo and Juliet, so in love it would be the death of them.
You are my new resolution.
Within our fever dream called love, you've burned up every promise.
Worship your imperfections.
You were a symphony of heartbreak
"You waited?"
"I come with baggage, baby." "I don't mind."
"Don't look at me like that." "Like what?" "Like you think I'm beautiful."
"Why would you love me? It's a stupid decision, really." "Well you always did call me a dumbass."
"Can we just go back to how things used to be?"
"Hey, sorry if you don't want to hear from me. I just wanted to give you back your sweatshirt. Call me when you get a chance?"
Don't give me hope. No, never that.
I want you to be my forever.
I miss you like I miss the sunset.
"I hate you." "Then why are you still here?"
You were every first I never wanted.
I would give the whole world for you to look at me like that again.
I love you like every fire just before it burns out, like the taste of sugar after drinking black coffee, and the longeting smell of rain on pavement and darling, what I mean by this is I swear, I will never stop loving you.
Summary: The one where reader and Eddie have been having âdatesâ every single Friday nights since she moved into his building.
Warnings: just venom being venom
Wordcount: 2k
requests / masterlist
âYou idiot! Itâs the third time in a row you buy chinese food!â
Eddie let out a sight. âShut up, man. You know she likes it.â
âYeah, and I like eating people, thing you donât let me do.â
He knew that maybe Venom was right. You and him became instantly friends as soon as you moved into his same building a few months ago. You two in front each other which made things easier to become quite close. The friday night dates, as you called them, started once you had realised how different your schedules were and that day was the only one you could meet and have a good time.Â
The idea of take turns came from you. Youâd make dinner the first and third friday of the month, so Eddie had to do the same the second and fourth. However and despite you always tried to impress him with your dishes, he wasnât really into cooking and ended up buying food most of the times. You didnât matter at all, since the real purpose of those dinners were just having a good time.
Nothing had never happened between you and Eddie despite the tension between you was completely obvious. You had known him since he still presented The Eddie Brock report, youâd always enjoyed watching it and felt bad for him when he got fired. Then, after you met, Eddie told you the whole story. And obviously, you met Venom. He felt confident enough to tell you about him, which in part, made your feelings for him become stronger. Eddie, for his part, felt attracted to you as soon as his eyes met yours for the very first time. He even helped you with all the boxes and stuff you had to take upstairs from you car even though he didnât know you at all. Since that moment you two relied on each other bringing your relationship to a higher, and also strange, level.
Eddie stood in front of his buildingâs door. He was nervous and Venom wasnât making things easier.
âYou tell her or Iâll do it. Choose.â
The man shook his head. He wasnât sure about it at all. âIt seems really easy for you, huh? Well let me tell you it isnât! What if she doesnât like me back? Iâd look ridiculous.â
Venomâs laughter echoed inside Eddieâs head. âYou look ridiculous the whole time while being with her. It wonât be something new.â
âI hate you.â Eddie grumbled while searching for his keys inside the pocket of his jeans. âDonât you dare ruining my date this time. Iâm warning you.âÂ
He got inside the building and started going upstairs, still warning Venom not to do anything weird around you. The symbiote told Eddie he couldnât promise anything, causing him to grunt and sigh angrily.
By that time you had just got out of the shower, you knew Eddie was most of the times late so you didnât rush to get ready. To your surprise, the doorbell rang and it couldnât be anyone but him. You got out of the bathroom wrapping your body in a towel, looking at the clock hanging over the door. He was on time which you couldnât believe. You had confidence enough to just open the door and let him in. So you did.
Eddieâs eyes opened wide as soon as he saw you. âMake a move! Donât be silly.â
âHi.â He said with a smile trying to keep his gaze on your eyes. Just on your eyes. âI think I arrived earlier.â
You laughed. âNo, you arrived on time. For the first time.â Your eyes travelled from his face to his hand, to the plastic bag he was holding. âChinese food?â
Eddie shrugged. âSorry. I think Iâm not original at all.â
Your arms got wrapped around his neck, causing him to be surprised but happy at the same time. Eddie hugged you back as he crossed his arms behind your back, pulling you closer to him. He could sniff your recently washed hair, he loved how good you always smelt.
âCome in.â You told him once he freed you from his embrace. âIâll just put something on. Could you please take some plates from the kitchen, I didnât have time to do it myself.â
âYeah, donât worry.â Eddie left the plastic bag over the kitchen counter as you walked into your bedroom. âBy the way. Thanks for agreeing on having dinner here tonight.â He shouted from the kitchen. âI really need to clean my apartment.â
You chuckled. He was the messiest person youâd ever met. If it wasnât for you, Eddie would swim into pizza boxes and wrappers. You enjoyed helping him cleaning his apartment since most of the times you two ended up having a good laugh at how bad Eddie was at sweeping the floor. Your outfit for that night was some sweatpants and a hoodie you had stolen from your friend, he didnât care about you wearing his clothes, on the contrary, he thought they looked hot on you.
âWhen are you doing it?â
âMan, leave me alone! I donât know when Iâm doing it! Stop being a pain!â
âWhy is he being a pain?â Eddie turned back to look at you. He couldnât help but smile when he saw his hoodie.Â
âWhen isnât him being a pain?â He replied making you smile.Â
Eddie had prepared the coffee table in front of your sofa, he had put a tablecloth over it and placed two plates and cups. You had bought a wine bottle that morning at the grocery store. You two didnât usually drank any kind of alcohol but you felt like wanting to make that night special. âI was gonna lit some candles but didnât found none.â Eddie scratched the back of his head.Â
âI think I donât have any. Well, we can always turn on the lights and just leave that light bulb on.âÂ
Eddie chuckled. âWe wouldnât see a thing. Letâs just leave it like that.â
He walked near you in order to take the chinese food back from the kitchen while you walked toward the sofa and took a sit. Eddie let the food on the table and sat next to you. Your couch wasnât the biggest so your shoulder and Eddieâs were kind of squeezed. He was way too ripped.
âShall I serve you mâam?â Eddie asked while taking one of the chinese food boxes out of the bag. âTonight weâll have noodles, some spicy beef and your favourite, spring rolls.â
You made a victorious gesture with your hands. âThatâs my boy!â Eddie couldnât help but smile shyly. âOh, and by the way!â You turned your body so you could now face him. âVee, I bought some chocolate for later.â
âTell that girl I love her.â
Eddie smiled and shook his head. âHe says thank you.â
âI didnât say that, idiot! Tell her the truth!â
âShut up!âÂ
That argue between them made you laugh. At first you couldnât really understand what was happening but now you were kind of used to it. Fortunately you were sure Venom liked you. That was something Eddie loved about you, the way you took things. You had never seen him like a weirdo.
âWhat did I told you about ruining my date, you parasite?!â
âWhat did you just call me!â
Eddie buried his face on his hands. âI didnât mean to call you that.â
âSay youâre sorry!â
âIâm not doing that in front of her.â You lifted an eyebrow not really understanding what was happening.Â
âSay it!â
âAlright Iâm sorry I called you a parasite! Happy now?â
In that moment you started to laugh. âDid he just got offended? Vee, you know he didnât mean that. Forgive him.â
The symbiote decided not to say anything else and just let you enjoy the food.
You and Eddie talked about how your day had been like. You worked as a lawyerâs secretary so your days werenât really too exciting but at least you earned money enough to live without preoccupations.
âIâll be taking vacations soon. Iâd like to go somewhereâ You had told your friend while you two washed the dishes. âIâve thought about maybe Hawaii. Iâve never been there.â
Eddie smiled. âMe neither.â
âWell, we could go together if you want.â
The man gazes at you out of the corner of his eye. Going on vacation with you? There was nothing he'd like to do most. Just the two of you, together for maybe a week. It sounded great.
âEddie. Tell her.â
âOh, fuck fine!â Eddie shouted causing you to jump and throw the plate you were washing into the sink.
âEddie!â You exclaimed. âYou scared the hell out of me!â
âSorry, love. Itâs that he hasnât stopped annoying me the whole night with the same shit.â
âWho? Venom?â He nodded in response. âWhy? Whatâs wrong? If you wanna tell me, of course.â
Eddie looked everywhere after finally letting out a sigh and crossing his arms over his chest. âWell, leave that for a moment then.â
You did as he asked you to. You turned around to look at him and laid back against the counter, waiting for him to start talking and tell you what had been annoying him that whole night.
âThere we go. Donât mess it up.â
âListen.â He started to say. âI know weâve been friends for a while now and itâs been great. Youâre the most amazing girl Iâve ever met and⊠shit, youâre just gorgeous.â
His words made you blush a bit. You really didnât get where he was trying to get so you just said nothing.
âAnd Iâve been thinking about it. Thinking a lot about it.â He sighed. âI realised that what I feel for you isâŠâ
He didnât really know how to express it. âIsâŠ?â You asked.
âI⊠like you?âÂ
You chuckled a bit. âAre you asking me?â That caused Eddie to shook his head and grab your hands.
âI like you. But I didnât want to ruin all of this. Our friday night dates and the good vibes between you and me, you know?â
Your hands now were the ones grabbing Eddieâs. You played a bit with his fingers trying to find some words to say. âI know, Eddie. I know you didnât want to ruin this and I completely understand you because Iâve been feeling the same for months. In fact I think I had never seen you like just a friend.â You saw how his eyes brightened. âWhen you told me about Venom and everything youâd been through it only made me be even more sure that youâre incredible and that you let me be in your life is just awesome.â
Eddieâs full lips got curved into a smile. âSo I wasnât being ridiculous when I told you about how I feel about you. You donât know how glad I am to know that.â One of his hands travelled to you face, caressing your cheek gently. âI guess now itâs the moment when I kiss you.â
âNot if I do it first.â
You didn't let him time to even analyse your answer when you grabbed him by the neck, pulling him close to you and getting on tiptoe in order to press your lips against his. You tow had thought a lot about how it wouldâve been kissing each other, but now that you were living it, reality had nothing to do with your fantasies.Â
Eddie stepped forward pressing you harder against the counter and almost making you fall. However he put both hands over your hips, not pulling his lips away from yours at any moment, without any effort he lifted you up and sat you over the surface. He positioned himself between your legs, just being carried away by that magical moment. His tongue met yours right before exploring the inside of your mouth. You had just put your hands over the edge of his t-shirt and lifted it over Eddie's head, throwing it to the floor. Eddieâs kisses went from your lips to your neck and collarbones. Your head got rested against the wall as you felt how he slipped both hands under the hoodie you wore, going directly to your boobs.
âCan I finish your work?â
âYou motherf--â Eddie mumbled against your neck, causing you to laugh. âSeriously, man? It was being really good.â
âYou two need to have a conversation about this.â

Summary: Sofia travels from London to Spain after a few days finishing to take care of some business before completely moving there.
I'd highly recommend you to read this before start reading this first chapter. There you'll have an introduction to the characters and their 'backstories'.
Also, there'll be a few spanish words and dialogues, so because of that I'll always leave a translation between brackets.
Enjoy!
ââââââ
"Nerea, estoy a punto de subirme en el aviĂłn. ÂżPuedes dejar de preocuparte, por favor? Nos veremos en unas horas. (Nerea, I'm about to get into the plane. Could you please stop being worried? I'll see you in a couple hours.)"
Sofia's best friend had been calling her since morning, she was excited about the fact that Sofia had just signed their rental agreement and it turned out that their new apartment was just in front of what it looked like a really nice club. Two of her dreams had been sort of realised at once. Nerea was thrilled, it'd be the first time she travelled abroad for more than a few weeks. On the other hand, Sofia felt like London wasn't a place she'd like living in, at least not again. She was used to living in Madrid and she was also a one hundred percent sure speaking English would be the worst. Her accent wasn't the worst but she still felt embarrassed talking in a foreign language in front of people which made her confuse words sometimes.
If it wasn't because of Nerea, Sofia had never agreed on moving back to London, not after what she experienced years ago.
"Vale, ya te cuelgo. Pero asegurate primero de que lo tienes todo y que no olvidas nada. (Alright, I'll hang up now. But first make sure you're taking everything with you and you don't forget anything.)" Nerea said at the other end of the phone causing Sofia to roll her eyes.
As soon as the girl's phone call ended, Sofia found herself in front of the boarding gate. It wouldn't be a long flight, it would last no more than two hours but still Sofia thought it would be exhausting.
There was a group of people in front of her so while waiting, Sofia decided to turn off her phone and making sure she didn't have anything that wasn't allowed with her. Her only hand luggage was her purse and it was almost empty so she wouldn't have to worry about anything. Sofia couldn't help but listen to what the poeple in front of her were talking about.
They were travelling to Spain, on vacation. There was at least five people that Sofia could count, three guys and two girls. Two of them seemed to be a couple by the way they were holding each other.
One of the guys took a step back, almost stepping on Sofia's foot and making her jump a little bit. He noticed that and turned around to look at her. "Oh, I'm sorry." He was clearly English, his accent told everything.
"Don't worry. I was too close to you." She smiled in response causing him to smile back.
Suddenly his gaze traveled from Sofia's face to her body. The guy chuckled and made a signal of approval with his hand. "Nice shirt, by the way."
His comment made her look down and realise what the was talking about. Sofia was wearing one of his brother's shirts, a black one with the drawing of a Marvel character on it. She couldn't remember the name but it was clear that it appeared on the Spider-Man movies.
"Thank you." Sofia smiled again to him.
He was handsome, the first thing she had laid her eyes on was his bottom lip. She had never seen a more pouty lips. Despite he wasn't very tall, his muscles caught all of her attention without talking about the tattoos showing from under his shirt's sleeves. He was also looking at Sofia, being fascinated at how nice blue hair looked on her. She had a piercing on her tiny nose, making her look even cuter, on his opinion.
They stopped looking at each other after a mutual smile since it was his turn to board into the plane. Sofia was next, after getting her purse inside a tray and walking through the metal detector, she took her stuff and started walking through the long hallway that would led her to the plane.
The blue-haired girl took her ticket from inside the purse in order to check, for the for the umpteenth time, which her seat was. She started looking everywhere while walking forward until she found the place she was searching for.
"No me jodas. (Oh, fuck me.)" She mumbled to herself.
There he was, the guy from the boarding gate was sitting right next to the seat Sofia had been assigned. He was talking to one of his friends who was behind him, but once he noticed her presence, he looked up and smiled showing his teeth. Sofia couldn't help but stare at them, he didn't have the perfect teeth but still managed to make them look hot.
"No way. Are you sitting here?" He sounded excited. "It's a small world, eh?"
Sofia laughed and nodded. She let her purse and jacket inside the compartment above their heads and took a sit next to the good-looking stranger. A few seconds passed until he extended his hand. "I'm Tom. Now that we'll spend a few hours together I felt like you would like to know it."
She shook his hand gladly. "I'm Sofia."
"I couldn't help but notice that you're obviously Spanish?" He said with laughter.
"And I couldn't help but notice you're obviously, English, mate." She replied making him laugh again. She wasn't good at imitating accents but that time it hadn't sound that bad.
Sofia just realised the way he laughed, it was more like a giggle. She found it really sweet.
"Are you on holidays?" Sofia ventured to ask, which Tom responded with a nod. "You'll like Spain if you hadn't been before. I'll miss it."
That last part caught Tom's attention. "Why? Aren't you living there anymore?"
"No â I mean, I still live there. But next week my best friend and I are taking another flight back to London. We'll be finishing our last year at university there. Also we wanted to improve our English and pronunciation and that shit."
Tom laughed. "I think your English is good. At least I can understand what you say."
"Oh, thank you. What a compliment, Tom."
Hearing the sound of his name coming from her made Tom smile. He liked her accent and the way she got nervous when she thought she had mispronounced a word.
They started talking about the usual stuff you talk with people you don't know and didn't stop until the plane landed again. Tom got to know more of Sofia, she was a psychology student, loved singing and anything related music and, what was clearly obvious, she was a huge fan of changing her hair color. However she hadn't been able to know a lot about Tom, he had been way to busy on asking her things about herself and everything she knew about him was that he was gonna spend some time with his friends in Spain after going back to work in London and that he had been through a breakup not so long ago.
Once the got out of the plane, Tom reached Sofia and started walking next to her through the hallway that would lead them into the airport.
"I don't know if this is gonna sound odd or you might think I'm a creep. But what if I give you my phone number and we met some time while I'm here in Madrid?"
Sofia looked at him, smiling. "I'd love that. Maybe I can take you and your friends to really nice places I know. If they want."
"That'd be great. I haven't introduced you to them yet, hold on."
Without stop walking, Tom called his friend who were a few steps back from them. In a matter of seconds they reached where you were.
"Look guys, this is Sofia." Tom said to them while pointing a the girl. "And she just told me she could take us to nice places while we're here."
A blonde girl, the one who seemed to be dating one of the other guys smiled at Sofia. "Great because I think any of you fools know how to even read a map."
The guy walking next to her laughed sarcastically. "How funny you are, Penny."
"Ignore them." Tom whispered causing Sofia to chuckle.
They arrived to the inside of the airport and even got time to take their suitcases when Sofia saw Nerea who was already waiting for her and smiled when their eyes met. Tom was still with her, he really liked her presence, she seemed to be a nice and interesting girl and wanted to know more about Sofia.
Suitcase in hand and everything ready to leave, Sofia turned to Tom who was waiting for his friends to get their things. "I have to leave now. My friend is waiting for me."
"Give me your phone."
"What?"
"To write down my number." Tom said with a laugh after Sofia's reaction.
She apologised and took it from the purse. While it turned on, Tom asked her whether she lived alone or with her friend. "I still live at my parent's house, don't laugh at me. I'm only 25 years old and still studying, what can I do?"
Tom laughed. She seemed really sweet to him. "I like you."
Sofia's phone came back to life and she unlocked it so Tom could save his number on it. Once done he gave it back to its owner.
"Well, our paths get separated here, mate." Sofia said.
"Just by now, right?"
She smiled at him. "I swear we'll meet again."
He knew giving her a hug would be inappropriate and kinda strange, so they just smiled. Sofia also said goodbye to Tom's friends right after turning and walking towards Nerea who was watching how her friend talked to that really hot guy.
Nerea chuckled and gave her friend a tight hug. It had only been two days since they didn't see each other but it had felt like ages. "No vuelvas a irte sin mi. Vaya fin de semana mĂĄs aburrido. (Don't you ever leave without me. What a boring weekend.)"
Sofia didn't hear those last words since her eyes and attention were somewhere else. Tom was looking at her from the distance and just a smiling like a child and so Sofia was. There was something about him that looked really familiar to her but wasn't really sure what it was.
"ÂżDesde cuando te compras camisetas de Venom? Friki. (When you started buying Venom shirts? You freak.)" Nerea laughed. "ÂżMe estĂĄs escuchando? (Are you even listening to me?)"
