â Lillianââ´ Â Â Â Â @bleakteaâ â
the toxic thoughts of an overachiever
@luthcrbornâ
âHello Lena.â
The CADMUS queen had a dainty little smile on her face as she approached the adoptive brat that her husband decided to pick up from the trash. Then, to find out that this was no ordinary brat, but one born out of Lionelâs affairâŚ. It was easy to say that Lillian hated Lena.
She didnât believe that the younger woman deserved the Luthor nameâ it wasnât like the younger had ever done something truly extraordinary. She was always simple, choosing cozy comfort over the pampered lifestyle that they could have.
Even Lex had abandoned her in the end, once the madness took him full circle. From being Supermanâs best friend, and oh god the thought of that still made her shudder, to almost killing the alien himself. Lex had been her greatest miracle.
And now he was gone.
She needed to focus on what was left though. Perhaps there was still hope for this⌠This businesswoman. Okay, Lillian could appreciate that part of her at least. Perhaps sheâd see the benefits, the corporal pay in getting aliens out of the way, the dental insurance. Lillian snorted at the thought of Lenaâs reaction to that.
âWhen I talk to you, I expect to be listened to.â Lillian warned the brat. âAnd I expect you to listen, very carefully now dear.â She leaned forward.
â Mother. â
   Lena responded looking over at her mother for just a moment before returning to her work on the computer on her lap. She was simple trying to get work done on the comfort of the couch in her office. There was a reason she had bought it for her office in the first place? Why couldnât she just allow her some piece and quite for once?Â
The two always bumped head with another, from the moment she came into the home which at a young age she didnât understand why but as a mature adult understood that her existence alone made Lillianâs heart the size of the Grinchâs at the beginning of the movie. Silly, the thought of her being alive made Lillian so wicked, what power she had by simply being her fatherâs daughter.
If she wasnât paying attention the work before her she would of surely rolled her eyes at the words of the elder. As if she where still a child who couldnât listen to her mother while she worked on things most likely much more important than the spilled hatred that was to spill from her lips. Still she wondered why she even bothered to call her mother, or why Lillian allowed it if she hated her so much.
â I can multi-task, Lillian. Iâm not four but even if I was I do recall being very good at listening and doing my work wouldnât you say so? â The young CEO replied stopping her typing mid-way while her bright green eyes looked up at the woman
âAh, daughter. Glad to have your PRECIOUS attention at last.â
     Lillian could not help but roll her eyes, a heated glare in the visage of the elder Luthor woman. Why it was always so difficult to procure the attention of her very...adequate daughter? She gave it out freely to others. Supergirl, for instance. The impudence!
      âI do not recall anything of the sort.â She dismissed the notion with a wave of her hand. âYou were four when you came to us, dear. And you were always on about that precious mother of yours, one you needlessly begged to return.âÂ
    Another backhanded insult. Once again, Lenaâs office would turn into a war zone for one of Lillianâs games.
    âAnyhow, Lena dear. Iâve come to play chess and share some exciting news.â Lillian brushed off whatever might have held the good Luthorâs attention with a glare. âThat is, if you have the time for our little game.â
      Her dark eyes, poisonous smile did not leave very much room for argument, and yet. Lena would constantly surprise her adoptive mother. Even if Lillian never showed it for more than a millisecond at a time.

@kryptcnbornâ
âAh, Supergirl.â
Lillian Luthorâs voice is calm, could even go as far as to say that sheâs playfully speaking about the weather. Sheâs not. âI was wondering when you would show up to stop this little game Iâve been playing.â She paused. âOr try to.â She looked up at Supergirlâs suffocating, too-good-for-you pose. It was sickening. She snorted at the thought of this being considered heroic.
Lillian was still pushing at keyboard buttons, pulling at levers all the while Supergirl got closer to the scene. âI would not get any closer if I were you, dear.â She swatted the alienâs hand away when it got close enough to reach for her wrist. Sure, Lillian knew what Supergirl wanted. All the so-called hero wanted was peace.
But Lillian Luthor? Not a peaceful woman
That much was proven when she pressed a delicate hand over a small, green button. Not even five minutes later, a man approached the Luthor and Super. âMr Danvers,â Lillian nodded to Supergirlâs adoptive father. âItâs finally time for you to make yourself useful. Dispose of her.â
