-Welcome to court;
Independent blog for Hadley Hale Delahoussaye from the Southern Vampire Mysteries/True Blood series. Based solely on headcanons that are more based on the books than the show. My name is Maria. I only write with 21+. She/Her pronouns. Discord if you ask.

-Personality;
Where Hadley is in her life now, she has had a second blossoming. She is bright and intelligent. Well spoken and unafraid to stand up for herself. She’s been with the Queen for a few years now and has quickly adapted to life in a Palace, to life as a Human Royal Consort. But with that adaption has come some not so amiable personality traits. Spoiled by her Queen, she is unused to not getting her way any longer. There are times when she can be described as a brat, outbursts and neediness and all. These two extremes seem to run in cycles, one day she can be a polite hostess in her Queen’s absence, the next she’s throwing a fit and whining the day away. Her becoming vampire had no effect on this cycle of emotions, if anything only making them more heightened than before.
-Book Canon;
In her human years, Hadley was popular in high school, a cheerleader and even Miss Bon Temps. She got involved with drugs and prostitution during her junior year of high school and ran away to New Orleans. Sookie had not seen her since. Hadley was one of the favorites of the queen and was turned into a vampire by her. In the book series, Hadley has a son Hunter Savoy with her ex-husband Remy Savoy.
-Show Canon;
Most of this is ignored in my portrayal. No one had heard from Hadley since she ran away from rehab, which Gran paid for. However, Bill ran into her at Sophie-Anne Leclerq's residence. Hadley stated she owed her grandmother a lot of money and was reluctant to get back in touch. Bill suggested it would be best not to in order to spare her finding out about her grandmother's murder. She asked Bill to tell her cousin, Sookie, she said "Hey" to which Bill agreed to while smiling. Hadley is brought by Eric in front of a caged Sophie-Anne. Eric threatens the Queen that, unless she tells him why she is interested in Sookie, he will drain Hadley of all her blood. The queen denies knowing anything about Sookie, and Eric proceeds to violently feed on Hadley. A weak Hadley whispers in Eric's ear the information he wanted and Eric seems surprised and says that he wasn't expecting that. Sophie-Anne looks worried and Eric feeds her his blood so she can recover. Hadley, along with Sophie-Anne, moves into the Edgington mansion. There Eric threatens her into going to Sookie and delivering a warning. While visiting Sookie, Hadley finds out about the death of their grandmother and before leaving apologizes. Sookie reads Hadley's mind and finds out that Hadley was the one who informed "them" (the vampires) about her. Days later Hadley calls Sookie and the two women meet in an aquarium in Monroe. Hadley admits to having told Sophie-Anne about Sookie's powers and asks her to speak to her son, Hunter, to discover if he shares Sookie's powers. Once Sookie confirms that Hunter is a telepath, Hadley takes him away with the intention of hiding him from the vampires. Jason runs into Hadley in a fairy burlesque party. She lets it slip that vampires, not drowning, killed his parents. Before he can question her further she runs from him and he and Andy are expelled from the fairy party onto an empty field. Jason brings Sookie to Hot Wings. They quiz Claude, Claudia, Claudette and Hadley inside the faerie club. Sookie asks if it's true that vampires killed her mother and father. Claude says that he only knows what Claudine told him: an unknown vampire ambushed their parents because he was drawn to something he smelled in the back seat of their car. In a flashback, Sookie's parents stop their car on a bridge so they don't hit a man standing in the middle of the road. The man rifles through their backseat, finding a bandage with Sookie's blood on it. Sookie angrily says that she doesn't believe Claude. She tries to manifest her photokinesis but it fails, and a group of faeries in the bar shoot their own beams at her as she screams.
-My Head Canons;
Alot of this is built around what little is known of Hadley in the books. Some is based on my use of Natalie Dormer. Some thought of with my Sophie's mun. Etc.  She met Remy Savoy at a bar in New Orleans. Still on the road to recovery, or attempting at the very least, she was in no position to fall in love or make any commitments. But when a one night stand turned into an unplanned pregnancy, Hadley being the good (for the most part) southern girl she’d been raised to be, she married the man in a courthouse ceremony. Nine months later she gave birth to their son, Hunter. Postpartum depression struck her hard and as with every other hardship in her life, she turned to drugs. She left her family behind seeking the only relief she knew. She will claim she’s a recovered addict, that she hasn’t touched a drug in years. Truth be told, she might be a bit addicted to Sophie-Anne’s blood. No longer a vice to escape her demons, she just likes the euphoric effect the ancient vampire’s blood has on her. She loves to annoy Andre. She knows she has the Queen’s affections and knows that fact irritates Andre. She also knows Sophie would never let Andre harm her, so she love rubbing their relationship in his face. She didn’t trust Sophie-Anne at first. Why would this obviously rich woman want anything to do with her? Sophie-Anne told her her own story, candidly coming out that she was a vampire (before the vampires came out of the coffin) and that over a thousand years ago she’d been forced into prostitution. Again, Hadley didn’t believe her. It would take weeks for the Queen to finally get through to Hadley. Weeks of holding her hair back while she vomited and trying to comfort her as she went through withdrawal… again. She met Sophie-Anne one night in the Quarter, but the vampire tried to glamour the memory from her brain. It worked, but her subconscious memory pulled the meeting to the surface over and over during the night in her dreams. Hadley paints in her spare time, a past time that started as something to get her emotions out, she now does it to keep herself busy while her Queen is busy with matters of state. There is a closet in the Queen's wing that is full of canvases - everything from landscapes to her favorite subject, her Queen.
