Nasty but Classy

Thanks Sis! I am doing okay, I just need to pay more attention to where I am going while I am on stage. And wait what weed project?!

What did you even slip on or trip over? It’s nothing too big, but if everything goes as planned, yours truly will have her very own brand of cannabis tea. Or tea hc as the cool kids call it.

We have faux queens and drag kings as well in our fold, so there’s plenty of room. Usually around 8, though sometimes we start a bit earlier.

Oh wow! I’m really gonna be getting the full experience, huh? I’ll make sure I’m there by 7:15 just so I can get a couple of drinks and find somewhere good to sit.

I haven’t stepped my foot into the drag world yet, and this open invitation is making me think I should finally see what all the glitz and glamour is about. What time does the show start?

Sorry I have been MIA I had a little slip and twisted my ankle on stage during rehearsals the other day. So for the next few shows guess who is gonna be seated singing her heart out. Anyways how is everyone else?

All I can think about is 2 Chainz in that wheelchair, but I hope you’re doing alright now. And if you need anything let me know. This little weed project I’ve got going on has been turning out better than expected, so I’m doing pretty great. 

Medical dramas give people unrealistic expectations about healthcare. If the doctors at daddy’s clinic looked like Claire Browne and Lauren Bloom, I would let them full body check me at least once a week.

Right? And in more ways than one. You are not alone when it comes to that. I know there are a few good looking ones out there, but unfortunately you’ve gotta search high and low to find them.

Depends on how much you’re willing to spend.

However much will get me a bomb ass seafood dinner, and still have enough leftovers for me to take home. But also probably a place that delivers, because I’m not too sure if I wanna put on a decent outfit to go get this food.

Not specifically, the guy that tried to pay with one didn’t get that far. But yeah all I’ve really come to figure out is it’s something kind of like bitcoin, but also not really. Maybe it’s an art thing or something? Either way it’s not gonna get your car fixed though.

The more I look into it, the more confused I get so I’ll leave that headache to the professionals. Now I wanna know why he thought that would work in the first place, especially since you two didn’t talk about it beforehand. That’s like going out to eat and then trying to use some antique furniture to pay.

Okay can somebody tell me what the hell an NFT is? Somebody tried to pay for fixing their car today with one, and after I stopped laughing I had to break it to them that it’s cash, credit, or take a cab and get out of here.

At first, I thought it was some sort of picture at first but now I’m not sure what it is. With how many new currencies they’re putting out I wouldn’t be surprised if it was one of those. Did you ever find out what it was?

If you worked at a hotel and wanted some extra perks for, say… employee of the month, what might be some suggestions? After Spring Break, everyone has been run down and I need some kind of incentive around here. Any and all, please!

Not sure how they’d feel about staying at their place of employment, but a free night or two at the hotel could be something to offer up. If not that maybe gift cards to places of their choice?

Pretty much the same thing but now that mention of seafood has me wanting to get some. I just gotta figure out where I’m gonna go.

Very true. I mean, we all hang around here for some reason, right? Oh my goodness, yes! MC Cool Cloud! Lol! That show is gold. I know. I have a small hunch there might be some resolution, but not sure how much. I’ve bummed about it. But this is true, and my fingers are crossed. Another awesome show– Leverage. Have you seen it? It’s coming back for a reboot!

You are not wrong there. It really is, I’m surprised it took me so long to watch it. I’ve got my fingers crossed for you too. Yes I have! That’s one of my favorite shows to turn on when I can’t decide what to watch. Really?! I remember hearing about it awhile ago but I didn’t think they were still going through with it.

“Same for you. Honestly, we’re rocking it. They’re bedsheets for gods sake.” She smoothed her hands down the fabric before reaching out for a shot glass and raising her brows at Bentley. “I’m sure he does. You into it?” She glanced back over her shoulders at the guy, he was nursing a drink and in her own humble opinion, looked a little down since she’d left. “We can go over there, grab him and one of his friends?”

“That’s partially why I’m so impressed. You’d be surprised how many people could make a bedsheet look bad.” All she could think about was the time she crashed a college halloween party and seeing a guy in what looked like curtains. “If his friends look as good as he does then I’m definitely into it.” If this worked out in her favor, not that it ever didn’t, Bentley would be able to cut out the middleman of having to search for a guy decent enough to occupy her for the night. “Sounds like an ideal plan to me.” Throwing her head back, she let the liquid slide down her throat then followed it with a grimace before putting one of the limes in her mouth. 

It was a relief to see a few familiar faces supporting the karaoke contest that evening. Skylar had always been a ham when it came to attention, and she performed better knowing some of the crowd. She tossed Bentley a smirk as she sipped at her own cocktail; she’d been scouring through her playlist of songs in indecision. Sky was better at winging things and not overthinking them. Which was why she still didn’t know what she’d sing up there. “I guess you could say both,” she admitted with a warm chuckle. “I’m going up there at the top of the hour, but even if I suck, this thing is worth watching. How about you, B?” 

One of the things Bentley enjoyed seeing was people doing things she didn’t have the confidence to do. Giving her neighbors impromptu performances from the comfort of her apartment was one thing, but there’s no way she could do it for a willing audience. If she weren’t so proud of her she’d almost be envious of her. “You’re right about that, though I'm sure you’ll sing the hell out of whatever you’re gonna sing. If anything you might be one of the best people in this thing.” Bentley had no idea if she knew any of the other competitors but she had no doubt that Skylar was going to do anything short of great. “I’m just here for the entertainment and drinks. Now if it were a dancing contest then I’d be the first one up there.”

It really does– especially somewhere like here, where it’s always busy. Yeah the holidays are usually strange, but you’d be surprised how many people actually come to Vegas to celebrate. I say stick with it then; it’s a solid choice! Actually yes, though they lost some cast as well. And I spoke too soon because the just cancelled it (for literally no reason). So fans are fighting. Hah, this is so true!

You’d be right about that, though I can see the appeal because this place is a literal playground for adults. I have been and I love it. The episode where they find about the cloud guy being a killer had me laughing the whole way through. That’s always the worst, especially the season ended on a cliffhanger. Hopefully they’ll get lucky and another company will save the show. It’s always a hit and a miss but some tenacious fans have made it happen. 

Why is that? The only one I don’t like is Grey’s Anatomy but House and Royal Pains are definitely one of my favorites but if we’re talking about current shows, The Good Doctor.

Because I suck at most of them so I rarely ever get to enjoy them in their entirety. Don’t blame you there, that show is all drama all the time and most of it is unnecessary. Oh wow, you’ve got some good taste when it comes to TV too. What’s some of your favorite food? 

Cassie wrapped her arms around Bentley and squeezed. When they parted she fluffed her hair playfully at the compliment. “Well thank you! I was going for Aphrodite.” Cass giggled, then clapped her hands together excitedly, bouncing up and down. “Yes! Brilliant idea.” She span around and leaned forward over the bar, hand out to grab the bartender’s attention. “Barkeep! Tequila, salt and limes please!” 

“Look achieved. Although you’d look in just about anything.” Bentley had no real plans set out for her tonight beyond getting drunk and hooking up with some stranger, so she was grateful when she ran into Cassie, and even more so because she knew her night was only going up from here. Finishing what was left of her drink, she placed the empty glass on the bar and picked up one of the shot glasses. “So that guy you were making out with,” she trailed off. “Do you know if he has any cute friends?”

The Olympia was packed but Cassie had her back to it all, sitting in the lap and making out with some frat guy from out of town. He wasn’t her type at all and the way he talked drove her mad, but he was stupid hot and she was already three drinks in. Cass leaned back and opened her eyes, lighting up when she looked around and saw someone she found more interesting. She pushed off the guy and without even saying goodbye rushed towards them. “Hey!” Cassie yelled over the music, and possibly too loud anyway. “You look so hot in that toga.” She nodded dramatically, like she was telling them something incredibly wise. “Let’s do shots!” 

Although Bentley didn’t have much to take a break from, she was still enjoying all the festivities happening on the strip. It had been awhile since she had gotten drunk more than two nights in a row. Walking through the party with her fourth drink in her hand, B stopped in her tracks once Cassie rushed over, trying her best not to fall into her friend. “Me? You’re looking like a whole greek goddess out here!” Taking a hold of her hand, she pulled her into a hug and made sure not to spill her drink in the process. “You don’t have to tell me twice. And if you want we can up the ante and do some body shots?” She suggested then down the rest of the liquid in her cup.
