People scare me. They change their minds so quick. One moment it’s “I love you” and “you make me happy” and the next it’s “I’m not sure anymore” and “this isn’t what I want”

Capivo che era il momento di lasciar perdere, di andare oltre, ma all'improvviso mi tornavano in mente i suoi modi impacciati di abbracciarmi e i suoi baci grandi, ma anche quelli piccoli, l'impeto che aveva tra le mani quando mi toccava come se fossi bella per davvero, e allora mi sembrava impossibile che non mi sentisse più. Che non avesse più bisogno delle mie incoerenze, della mia voce da bambina, dei miei capelli liscissimi. Mi è sempre sembrato impossibile.  E invece.

You have turned your heart into a museum of people you’ve loved to keep them alive inside you.

Sleep doesn’t make anything better. It just puts everything on pause.

I won’t glorify or romanticize heartbreak, for me it was a kind of death and I was forced to keep living.
