This past week as been nothing short of incredible. Not only did my inner child love every second of nerding out to all things Harry Potter (don't judge), but I got to share every moment with someone very special to me. • Four months ago I met a girl that instantly became one of the best people I've ever had the pleasure of getting to know, and we quickly became great friends. • While neither of us ever expected for feelings to happen, we decided to see what would become of it. Text messages turned into phone calls, and phone calls into Skype dates. Now, we're as inseparable as two people can be when you live 984 miles apart. (Yes, I googled it) She's smart, whole-heartedly sweet and makes me feel the happiest I have been in a very long time. • Being with her is effortless. It's feels as though we've known each other for years, and she loves me for who I am. Nothing more, nothing less. And the best part of it all? I get to be myself again. • Here's to crossing off things on our bucket lists, and to many more adventures. But most of all, to making new memories together along the way. • I love you. Everyday. Always

I think the Blues, and the rest of the NHL for that matter, need to take some legit notes on these women. The dedication. The drive. The heart. A gold medal game on the line. Giving absolutely everything you have. These ladies deserved the win. Proud and excited to see what the future of women's hockey could bring.
