This last idea of writing about money-making with computers was boring and a load of crap. Funny, I actually had this feeling almost right after the first post in that style.
Anyway, gonna change now. More IT job pattern analysis wouldn't hurt I guess.

Making money with a personal computer
Computers are here to stay. You may already own several; a smartphone and a tablet, a desktop computer laying on your desk or a laptop. As different ways of computing have emerged, so have different means to use these technologies. The development has been gradual though and not merely dependent on only either the software or hardware entirely. We now live in a period that makes making money with just a computer very possible, even to the average Joe. I'm talking also smartphones here; being a capable blogger can just be done via your mobile device these days with several great platforms, such as Tumblr, being offered to publish your work on. And what can one do with a (more traditional) personal computer is even more amazing. Even the cheapest laptops are usually more than sufficient for learning programming, the art which really is at the core of all computing.
If you have the money to invest into a powerful machine, you can do graphics and video to be sold online. For gear with less grunt, some online solutions are already out there, such as the fab PixlrΒ or Sumopaint. And Blender is the go-to free 3d design application that runs well even on older machines.
So there are already a lot of possibilities when you think about it quickly. And you might realize that at the same time, accessing the Internet (which nowadays can be considered possible most of the time), you get loads of information on how to perform well with these softwares and what requirements the industries are asking for currently. This means that in a personal computer today you have a tool that can bring you the money, the knowledge and communications solutions in one neat little package. It is kind of an ravishing idea and I would like to invite you to explore the aspects of this all in my blog. Welcome! -D
Patrick McConlogue's Journeyman-mission to teach homeless Leo to program in JavaScript is taking strides and seems to move towards more of an e-learning solution for everyone. The frontpage says that the course created together with Leo will be available for free eventually.
I found this very helpful mentally.

I'm sure many people out there are already aware of Patrick McConlogue's mission to teach homeless Leo some basics of JavaScript. McConlogue just released the study notes on Facebook and I find it an inspiring read. Somehow I feel like there might be a book coming from McConlogue later on. Or maybe Treehouse recruits him. There seem to be so many places McConlogue could go after this, but can Leo exploit this publicity on the same level?

I think Nicolas Winding Refn is the most inspiring and interesting movie maker currently. On the video Alex Jones interviews him on Only God Forgives but the topics of course touch many things, art in general, too.

Just installed this piece of software, which is helpful when trying out PHP stuff. Or so I heard. It seems pretty straightforward with just putting the PHP files where you want them, setting up that location in MAMP and navigating to the right address within your computer, with your browser. The files are now in a virtual web server which can display PHP. This was kind of hard for me to understand before, coming from the simplistic background of just opening HTML documents in your browser and sort of getting what you see.

Can't really wait to see what Jolla brings to the smartphone market when the phones come available. iPhone event last night was of course a bit of a letdown, got me wondering how easily people put products on a pedestal and what it takes for companies to keep them there. But in my opinion, forcibly keeping something on a pedestal comes with a cost of losing freshness.
Some nice numbers that the Galaxy Notes have sold. Hopefully this will push the mobile device market towards even more productivity-friendly mobile tech in the future. I tried the stock note-taking app on the Galaxy Note and the "s-pen" really surprised me as in how fluid it was to make quick sketches.
If there was a way to include a camera with a retractable, flexible arm to shoot video and stills with, that would be something. Imagine writing and sketching away while the event in front of you would get captured on video too. The camera could also be used for live drawing of models by having the camera cast the model's image to a drawing app's layer.
I got these books from the library yesterday. Letβs see how learning to program starts rolling with them. Both books are around 400 pages, and the text seems understandable so far for a beginner(introduction parts read).
Coding seems to have become something magical, like a new green tea or some other superfood. However you look at it, this is where the buzz is currently. There is one question this got me thinking about: Is the situation, or will the outcome be, equal for both individuals?

The nichemaker
Wouldn't it be great to have a blog about just thinking of the silliest blog niches for new bloggers? I've always found it rather difficult to stay focused on a niche when there's all this cool stuff everywhere to make you think and willing to write or design. The niche-creation blog's platform could probably be Tumblr, since this service encourages different types of media as the body of a post. The nichemaker blog could feature intros, logos, mere taglines and weird adverts of the blog about this new niche. Follow me? Go make that blog!
IT job postings' patterns
Only five postings ask for familiarity with SQL. MySQL appears in four of these, with PostgreSQL coming second with two appearances. Other database solutions asked for include Oracle,Β Microsoft SQL Server and MongoDB.
Going to programming languages, JavaScript appears most often, three times. C# comes second appearing twice. After these the likes of PHP, Python and JSON pop up. CSS is mentioned five times but I don't count it to be an actual programming language.
Several Java frameworks are listed as well. These include Spring, Hibernate and Wicket.
So how does this information help? The pattern seems to be definitely learn SQL then get some good Javascript under your belt, practice a close relationship with Java and C# and it wouldn't hurt to take a look at PHP, Python and JSON. Where I would start though is getting the easier stuff done first and get the HTML+CSS combo straight. It surprised me that the demands aren't actually that huge, even with decent knowledge of only PHP I bet one could have a go at these job postings.
