GIVE IT UP FOR WEEK 15!!

TIME TO PARTY WE ARE ALMOST THERE!

Will y’all ever be satisfied with my timing? Here is the first half of the film timed out. I swear to what ever higher power is in control of this universe that if it’s still fast I will actually scream  but also understand.

New content posted in the middle of the week? More likely than you think.

The environment is done! Here we are testing out different angles just to make the composition less claustrophobic. This week is all about blocking and splining now! With a bit of texturing here and there.

While the desert case is full and functioning, I’m having some trouble deciding what else the environment needs.

- Begin in depth texturing.

Blendshapes are a godsent

This week I wanted to tackle the subtle motions of the characters within my film. Along with this, I’ve finished modeling all the objects that will be interacted with in my film. I’m still modeling some environment pieces but other than that I’m right on schedule!

Time for a 3D animatic to figure out angles and compositions. I hope to finish all my modeling this week into the next with the extended weekend coming up

Here is my newest animatic for my film. Some of the angles will be much different once I begin utilizing the 3D space.

My production timeline for reference!

The scene opens with a camera pan of a desert case that contains an array of sweets. A cake within a glass container is then centered within the shot as the camera moves around the cake until our attention is shifted to a couple sitting at a booth. The couple, Rocky and Road, are very much head over heels for each other. Their love for one another is as big as their love of sweets. The date spot of choice for these two lovers is this cafe that serves a wide variety of sweets. The couple begins their date with both parties having their own cup of coffee, which is then loving combined with copious amounts of sugar. Next up is a plate of macrons that are brought to the table. The two feed each other the sweets and the plate is added to, what will soon to be a pile of plates. Then comes a delightful plate of pudding, which the two once again feed to each other. The desserts continue with milkshakes, cupcakes,and other confections until there's quite the collection of plates. At this point, Road isn’t looking too good. A bit too full of sweets by the looks of it. Rocky however, is still enjoying the treats. Seeing his significant other enjoying the meal, Road has trouble trying to bring up his own feelings and sits there, waiting for him to finish. Rocky licks his fingers clean of his most recent meal, but Road falls silent as a massive cake arrives and Rocky goes to town on it. Road tries to look over to him, but is immediately met with cake in his mouth as Rocky feeds him a hefty amount of frosting. Road slouches back into his booth seat and sulks. Satisfied with his meal, Rocky looks on in excitement as the final treat arrives. A slice of strawberry shortcake with a single strawberry on top. Rocky plucks it off and attempts to feed it to Road. Road who is both annoyed and done with sweets moves his face so the fruit doesn’t reach his mouth. Rocky persists till Road smacks it out of his hand. The berry rolls to the floor and the two share a moment of silence. Road turns his head away from Rocky. While Rocky tries to think of something to say but can’t find the words to do so. The waiter arrives with two cups of coffee. Before the waiter can pour sugar into the cups, Rocky holds out his hand, signalling for for him to stop. Road looks back to Rocky, surprised but still reserved. Rocky begins to drink his cup of black coffee, choking a bit at the bitterness, but still drinking it. Road laughs to himself at Rocky’s attempt at something bitter and places his hand on the table. The final shot ends with Rocky’s hand on top of Road’s on the table and a cup of coffee coming down.
