She couldn’t force him to talk so she wouldn’t press him any further. When he burped she pulled a face. “Well, excuse you.” Allison laughed a bit, rolling her eyes. “Fine, I suppose. Same old bullshit I don’t wanna bore you with.”

“So you just came here to drink your troubles away too, huh?” Damon turned his attention away from Allison and lowered his gaze, phone in his lap. After staring for a moment he looked back up. “Lots’o bullshit?” He rose a brow, elbows resting on the table. “You won’t bore me. Talk away.”

“Okay, fine, be that way. Geez.” He could be so moody sometimes but alas Damon was Damon and she couldn’t change that. “What’s gotten you all grouchy, huh?” She took a seat and rested her chin on her hand.

Damon opened his mouth, then closed it, only to open it again. “It’s nothing.” He pressed the rim of his glass to his lips and tipped his head back, drowning his thoughts away. After swallowing, Damon burped, sighing afterwards. “Enough about me. How are you?” A lousy way of changing the subject, but he was too drunk to care.

“I’d offer you a drink, but I don’t care to be polite.” The man hunched over his glass and poured himself more sauce.

A smile spread over her lips as she hugged his shoulders from behind. “I can get my own booze, ya know, I don’t need yours.”

Shaking himself out of her grip, Damon tossed her a look that could give the Grinch a run for his money. “I’m not in the mood for hugs.”
