Nobody understood why he gave you a name. He never called you a case or anything. It was kind of nice knowing he had given you a name. "Get your mind out of the clouds! Father had called you almost an hour ago already." Your brother, a givanium citizen, has called out to you in anger, he wasn't the most jerkest, which you had been thankful for.

You paniced slightly, not knowing that much time had passed. You adored this one small pin your dad had given you as a gift, but now you scrambled around your room trying to find it. "DO YOU THINK DAD WOULD WAIT?? WOULD HE BE MAD IF I TOOK FIVE MORE MINTUES!" you yelled out from your small room. Your brother, who was tired of it, let out a sigh you can hear from your room.

"No, he WOULDN'T, HURRY UP BEFORE- JUST HURRY!" he opened your door with a huff, looking pissed that you'd been so late to see dad once more, "Fine, fine. Just...did you see my pin?" you asked him with hope he had seen it, he then nodded his head a no. You just frowned, feeling mad at yourself for losing it again. You then walked past him in a hurry, trying to be at least a bit earlier than the last time you were late and the time before that.

The streets was calm and cool. Givanium citizens walked and talked, some whispering while you passed by, but you had grown accustomed to them. So many of them would always become a bit quieter once you passed. One coughed while you passed, which was gross.

You finally arrived at the building he stayed in, and you entered with some fear that he'd be mad at you for being so late. You breathed in, trying to ground yourself and trying to come up with an excuse.

The elevator came down, brushista stood there, her eyes gazed at you right away. "You, child, you had no idea how worried he was, waiting for you like a damn fool." She spoke in her usual calm tone that gave you chills. You looked down at your feet, refusing to meet her gaze. "I know, I know. Just was busy...I'm sorry." you sheepishly peeped out. "Glad you understand now, let's go, he was going to send me out to find you once more," she hissed, her hands held onto your arm as she pulled you onto the elevator with her. You gasped a little from the unexpected tug.

Down the elevator went, the slow creeping from the gears and pulleys rang in your ears as the elevator continued to rumble up, brushista stood awkwardly, swiftly moving her tail side to side, her eyes never meeting yours.

“BRUSHISTA, BRING THEM IN!” Syringeon yelled from his office, his voice carried on as the elevator made it stop, you sighed, knowing you finally crossed a line you’ve been pushing.

“Should—“

“We have to meet him.”

Brushista whispered, she stepped off the elevator, her hand waving for you to follow, you made your move, stepping off as she led you to his office, it had been a while since you’ve seen your dad, so it send chills down your spine that you been late again, the thought of what could happen crossed your mind.

‘Father would never do that…’ you calmly thought to yourself as you finally made your way in, brushista leaving you as she stood near the door way, your father sat in his office chair.

“Mind telling’ me why you were late again?” He roughly said, his eyes on you, you looked up to meet his gaze. “I-I’m sorry father…I lost your gift. I wanted to find it.” You spoke softly, your voice low and desperate. “I understand. You wasted time. Again. Enough please, make it on time, when you get called. You get called. You’ here.”

you nodded your head weakly, “I understand father. I’m sorry.” You said now standing your head low. “I forgive you’. Just…be on time, you are…my favourite thing. You are my most successful creation. My favourite.” He spoke, standing up from his chair, you lifted your head up.

“You were always going to be my success.” He spoke with pride, now walked towards you, lifting up one of his arms, placing it on your shoulder, he closed his eyes and seemed more relaxed.

Brushista knew about his success with you, everyone did, he made sure to show it.
