There was a little exhale of relief prior to his response ; a little way of saying he’s thankful she forgets quickly once the ‘a’ word comes up . Adorable not ass .

     It’s obvious to him , now , that she’s playing some kind of game ; this isn’t Shilo anymore . She’s playing him up after being non - responsive and she expects something . What does she think he’s gonna do ? Declare some long - term attraction after just a little provoking ? He’s not sure himself what he thinks of her . 

            Does she think acting like an abrasive corporate heiress will get him off somehow ? The only reason he                  had ever looked at Amber Sweet once with something that wasn’t disappointment or distaste was because                  she ground like a animal in heat . High - minded daddy’s girl was far more pleasant than the GeneCo mistress .

                                       This is such a half - assed way of hiding how he takes a little longer to respond and avoids                                  big doe - eyes .
