Lovely but Lethal

It’s when someone remembers the stories you casually told once, knows the little things you like and dislike, or notices changes in your mood without you even saying anything. There’s something so comforting about being with someone who truly pays attention to you.

Everyone has a choice, to stay or to leave. And siguro may reasons siya why she chose to go. Maybe valid, maybe complicated, or maybe things just happened the way they did. Truth is, we’ll never fully know everything, and sometimes kailangan nalang talaga tanggapin.

But what I really meant in my previous blog wasn’t about relationships that failed. It was about how rare it is nowadays for someone to genuinely look at you and say, “I wanna grow old with you.”

Kasi totoo naman, may mga taong years na together pero never naging expressive about wanting forever with each other. Some people love, but are still scared to say it out loud. Scared to commit. Scared to be vulnerable. Scared na baka hindi mag-work in the end.

That’s why for me, there’s still something beautiful about people who are brave enough to love honestly and admit that they see you in their future. Regardless if they stay forever or not, the sincerity of that moment was real.

And I think that kind of love, even for a short time….is still worth appreciating

But somehow, in his eyes, I become someone entirely different.

To him, I’m beautiful on my worst days. Kahit walang ligo, walang ayos, walang make up, kahit bagong gising o pagod na pagod na ako, he still looks at me the same way. As if I’m the most beautiful woman in the world.

And maybe that’s what love really does.

It makes you feel seen beyond your insecurities. Beyond the imperfections you keep trying to hide. He doesn’t wait for me to look perfect before making me feel loved. He loves me in the rawest, most ordinary moments, when I’m quiet, when I’m messy, when I don’t even feel confident in my own skin.

There’s something healing about being loved by someone who sees beauty in you even when you can’t see it yourself.

Because while the world teaches us that beauty is something we need to earn through filters, makeup, nice clothes, or perfect appearances, real love reminds you that you were already beautiful to begin with.

And maybe I still have days where I doubt myself. Days where I don’t feel enough. But his love slowly teaches me to become gentler with the woman I see in the mirror.
