i could make real arguments against posts that complain that buffy suffering all the time is misogynistic. tv shows need plots, people being happy is boring to watch, sometimes suffering is meaningful and compelling and important to see, etc. but the reality is, i just like whump. i like it when my favorite characters are screaming crying throwing up bleeding out and generally going through it. and i'm tired of men getting the majority of whump content in fiction. women deserve just as much if not more whump content than men. buffy's constant suffering is feminism actually
