I hate it when you're onto someone about exactly what they are doing, and they pretend that they are completely innocent...... So fucking frustrating. People are dicks.

Top part of the photos is now obviously and bottom is before braces. Massive difference!! I still have another 14 months to go but I am so excited with the changes that have happened already :) perfect teeth here I come!! :) xx

Following on from my previous braces post, here are some comparison shots from beginning to just 8 weeks after, the twisted teeth at the bottom are starting to move to fit the out of line teeth in, and the overlapping tooth at the top has started to move the other way. During the process of these teeth moving, I haven't had much pain but some discomfort. At times they get really tight and I could feel the pressure, which made me excited because I knew they were moving! Certain teeth would get sensitive for a few days, due to the other teeth applying pressure as they tried to squeeze in. I had to wait 11 weeks from getting the braces on for my first tightening appointment. The orthodontist said the teeth were moving so well that he would change both wires. He then apologized because I might experience some pain and tightening that night. It was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I was in the chair for less then 5 minutes while he changed the wire. I was asked if the ends were sharp or if they stuck out and needed to be cut. At the time I thought they were fine. How wrong I was!!! The next day my right cheek hurt so bad from the really sharp bit on the wire poking into my flesh. It was torture of the mouth. I went and bought wax to see if I could cover the end, and the wire was so sharp that when I lost my mouth grip I actually cut the tip of my finger and had a bleeding hole. I haven't had time to go back to the ortho so every now and then I have to pack the wax on the wire and hope it stays so I don't cut up my mouth. After a few days I got an ulcer in my cheek and that was super painful. But now I guess the inner cheek has hardened and I don't really notice it too much. As my bottom teeth moved the sharp bits on the brackets kept cutting up my the inside of my lip, and if I didn't put wax on before I slept I would wake up with huge lacerations, that hurt so badly I couldn't really eat much and my lip swelled. Wax is a savior. And lip balm! My lips dry out really quickly now, I think it's from the braces making them protrude out more or something. I found a mouthwash called savacol that really helps with ulcers and they disappear quickly. It's about $9.00 from any supermarket in Aus. Next I'll post a now photo of my teeth, I'm due for another tightening in just over two weeks! xx

Okay so these were my teeth before the braces went on... 24 and I decided I was sick to death of hiding my smile. I kept putting it off year after year because braces are so expensive, but after thinking the longer I put It off the longer I would be unhappy I just decided to do it. I took these photos on the 24/04/14 just before I went into the orthodontist. I'm sad I didn't take better pictures for the comparison, and I should have started blogging about this earlier but at least I have something to show. Before I got the braces put on I was obsessed with reading blogs, and looking at before and after pictures of other adult transformations. So here is mine! I have a slight overbite, a rotated tooth on the top that was pushing one of my front teeth back and creating a shadow in photos. I hated smiling in pictures as it looked like I had a front tooth missing! The bottom teeth were crooked and over crowded, and I could never floss very well because the teeth were so right together! On the day I got my braces, I went into the ortho office, I got moulds taken of both rows, it was purple claggy stuff that reminded me of really think hubba bubba bubblegum. They took the moulds then cleaned my mouth out, sanded each individual tooth and then one by one applied the glue and the bracket. I was really lucky and didn't need molar bands so I didn't have any discomfort the week before. After the had made sure the brackets were in the correct places, they placed the wire in. I have the ceramic clear braces across the top six teeth, and metal on the rest. Afterwards my mouth felt really weird, it didn't hurt bit I could feel the insides of my mouth getting caught on the sharp bit. It didn't take me long to realize which parts where the hurty ones!!! The dental assistant went through how to clean and brush my teeth, what foods I could and couldn't eat etc, I will go through those things in more detail in another post. I got a goody bag, filled with floss, mini brushes, tooth brushes, and electric brush and wax. WAX IS LITERALLY A LIFE SAVER. The stuff the gave me wasn't very good though, the tooth and the bracket have to be 100% dry for the wax to stick, and when your trying to get into the back of your mouth it's near impossible. I found some dental wax at the chemist that bonds really well, I'll add a picture of the stuff I use later, because without it I would have pulled the braces off buy now!!

Hi planet earth and internet aliens! I have no idea how this tumbling thing works... But I suppose I should write something as a sort of memoir of how this all began.... To start off... I am a human being, from country australia. I am a girl and am classified as a nobody. I have intense thoughts that I just literally forget.. Because well if I don't think they are important enough to repeat then who else will? Is that what tumblr is for? Am I supposed to shout out mental ideas from the the tumblr rooftop? If tumblr was a building would it be as fun as google from the internship? Was that even what Google is like? Do google admin(if that's what they are called) ever google google to see what's been written about it? If so then hi, google admin. I will create background stores for you next time. I'm going to stop talking... For now... Check if anyone is listening... I mean reading... Well technically reading is listening but with your eyes!! Adios sweet sweet world.
