Myanmar Continues Aggressions against Rohingya Muslims and Home Torching in Northern Arakan
Myanmar military and Border Guard Police (BGP) have been jointly carrying out aggressions and crackdown against Rohingya Muslims including arson attack on homes non-stop in Northern Arakan since 25 August 2017.
Myo Thu Gyi village almost burnt down yesterday and the remaining parts of it have been completely torched to ashes by the Myanmar military today where dozens of Rohingya civilian are believed to have been killed on 28 August. More than 1,000 homes have been burnt down in Myo Thu Gyi village.
More than 300 Rohingya homes have been burnt down at ward 5 in Maungdaw by Myanmar military and Rakhine extremists since August 27 evening.
Many villagers have been burnt alive in the blaze in the village where several lives lost, source said.
Today, 28 August, Khwa Chaung’ hamlet of ‘Inn Ding village in Southern Maungdaw has been entirely torched by Myanmar military and Rakhine extremists.
Mass killings of Rohingya people by Myanmar military are taking place at ‘Kyi Kan Pyin’ in northern Maungdaw and at one stage the Kyi Gan Pyin village has been burnt down today, 28 August.
Myo Thu Gyi’ village and ‘Thaung Paing Nya’ in Maungdaw was under arson attack of Myanmar military and Rakhine extremists where several homes have been burnt down on 28 August.
At least 100 Myanmar military intruded into the ‘Ye Mya Taung’ village in Northern Maungdaw and fired several gun shots indiscriminately at the Rohingya villagers claiming multiple deaths of Rohingya today.
On 28 August at around 11: 00 am, Myanmar army helicopter gunships flew over ‘Kyein Chaung’ and other Rohingya areas in northern Maungdaw that threatened the Rohingya civilians.
The numbers of Rohingya killing by Myanmar army are increasing alarmingly in several parts of Maungdaw North and South and in Rathedaung as well.
Now the Rohingyas have no opportunity to live in their village since all of their homes have been torched by Maynmar army and they see only way to Bangladesh despite there is tight security along the BD border.
Today, Kyauk Pandu village in Southern Maungdaw has been torched by Myanmar military and Rakhine extremists by firing launchers.
‘Koe Tan Kauk’ in Rathedaung and ‘Tha Wan Chaung’ villages in Maungdaw South have been torched completely by Myanmar military and Rakhine extremists on 28 August and Rohingya have taken shelter in the forest nearby seeing no way.
Guta Pyin (Gudampara) Rohingya village in Buthidaung south has been torched by Myanmar Border Guard Police in collaboration of Rakhine extremists today, 28 August.
