James and Barty
So its always been a thing that bothered me about mauraders' fics that I understand not touching on or ignoring but I wish people would pay attention to it. That thing being Barty and James' relationship. Obviously Barty is besties with Regulus and is a die hard Skittle, and James is a 1000% Gryfindor. But its always made very clear that the Potters are very respected by the Ministry, the same one Bartmus Sr. runs. The Potters are one of the only pure blood lines that are not worried about keeping their purity. So I think more often than not Crouch would have wanted Barty to grow up around "good" influences like the Potters. So I want to see more fics about James and Barty being friends outside of school, that between them the pranks aren't malicious. They pretend to be mortal enemies cause its dramatic and funny, not because they hate eachother. Yes Barty chooses the wrong path but not because he hates muggle borns, he hates his dad. I wanna see a fic where its Barty who got Sirius to the safety of the Potter household and refused to leave Regulus behind. I wanna see Barty and James laughing together and being even worse menaces than Sirius and James. Just, Barty and James growing up together.
