I guess 4th is enough to get the nod for the local end of season championship race. Pretty cool. One reason I love @dar_multisport races. I'll likely be at Ironman Florida with my boys Jesse and @jlipschultz1, but if I'm home... I'll probably go get after it. Thanks for all the love while I've been on the mend. My @rpsportsus watchdog. His name is Charlie and he's generally worthless as watchdogs go. First race back today. 4th. Missed the podium by 9 seconds. Lots and lots of 9 second things I have to work on. That's why I love this sport. It was so great to be back. I'd say the first race since May 2015 (#IMTX) was a good one.

The comeback has been in the works for a while. Tomorrow I test myself a bit. I haven't raced since Ironman Texas in May of 2015 where I lined in with just about everything wrong with a right leg and both feet as can happen. Surgery, lots of rehab and some good training brings me to the @dar_multisport Pioneer Sprint in the morning. This is the road to Augusta 70.3 and potentially my fourth Ironman start and third finish in 2017. Huge special thanks to my coach, Jesse Carrington. He's the best. He's like a brother to me. He helped me get my bike tuned until well after hours today and he'll be there tomorrow to wish me well and give me a kick in my ass when I need it. I'm looking forward to this.
